Best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Freshly caught fish, cooked perfectly, with a nice light, crisp batter - so good, we went back 2nights in a row!

Forgot to take photos. But that's probably the best fish n chips we ever had. Freshly made and we'll presented. It's slightly pricy than others. But it does make sense if the food is that good. We enjoyed it so much. We appreciate a place like this that you can tell they have the passion for their food and they make efforts to keep the quality. Well done!

So disappointing. Boughr seafood pies frozen about 10 days ago and just cooked them. Good luck finding seafood! Full of potato and filler. We bought "fresh" prawns which were worse than the supermarket. In-house food might be good but DO NOT stock your freezer.

Lovely fish and seafood shop that has a vast array of fresh and frozen seafood as well as a cooked menu for your dining pleasure. I tried the kingfish and chips and it was very nice. Also has sashimi and numerous condiments, paintings and artwork.

We grabbed lunch on the go and enjoyed in on the foreshore at Port Lincoln. Great fish and chips, we would absolutely go back there again, thank you.

Love this place but have just cooked and eaten their " crayfish patties" which we purchased today. Did not know crayfish was pink all the way through and tastes like Salmon. They were nice but very definitely not what we paid for. Very disappointing!
We will if it happens again.

Excellent selection of fresh and frozen fish. Seafood ranging from mussles to kingfish! Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Port Lincoln prides itself on being the “Seafood Capital of Australia” and whilst the seafood was fantastic at the Fresh Fish Place, the attitude and professionalism shown by the staff left a lot to be desired. That said, the range of produce there was awesome, both fresh and frozen with the tourist market in mind.

** This review will no doubt cop a rebuttal by the owner however I can see it’s not the only negative review with others sharing similar experiences regarding staff. Perhaps, use this feedback to improve and educate staff on the basics of customer service which will ensure a more positive experience that mirrors the quality of produce on offer.

Disappointing - took a while to get served, what looked to be the owner or manager who kept walking past us plainly in sight was not acknowledging us and seemed to be busy taking his time with things - as we were the only ones waiting at that time in the whole store. The chef ended up coming over and asked if we had been served and served us. Potentially a great place we just didn't have a good experience.

Delicious fish and chips of the day, and salt and pepper squid and prawns. However I asked for tap water and they refused to serve this which I found strange! Not sure if it’s a COVID thing or not but I thought that it was mandatory to serve tap water in Aus especially since this is a licensed venue.

Pan fried fish was over cooked dry and tough. We couldnt cut it with a knife. Had to pick up and chew it like jerky. No flavour and both serves the same. We are both gluten intolerant and used to fish without batter but have never had any thing like this. At least the chips were soft!

We have tried at least 5 other places and this place is still the best. Going back for more before the end of our trip.

Worth every $!

Great place to have lunch. The food is amazing and so fresh and not greasy. Also a great variety of seafood to buy. Love it!

Was told about the fish place.for a good seafood feed Had takeaway tonight for 2 people king fish 2 crumbed only asked for 1,1 grilled which was pan fried for an extra $4 with a small serve of chips which was told would be enough for 2 but wouldn’t feed 1 we also ordered a large serve of calamari which was so small and mixed with octopus so disappointed, total price $70 wow never again or recommendation to anyone.

Informative experience with knowledgeable host Kelly able to answer questions and shuck oysters. Finish with the meal and it is a great deal.

Would be great if the restaurant side of the business was in a better location.

An excellent, fun presentation of the fish market industry in Port Lincoln. So well run. A beautiful meal, catering for all tastes. A true must to see.
