80Need more staff in fabric department, or stop queuing people down the fabric aisles. I couldnt look at half the fabrics because a whole aisle was taken up with people waiting to be served. Can't expect customers to wait for an entire 10 people que to go down before they can look down an aisle. This has happened several times I've tried to shop for fabrics here and I just end up walking out and going somewhere else every time.
Being served at the counter by Caitlin. She was a bit rude and asked far too many questions for the long line of customers waiting to check out. I appreciate quality customer service but I do not need a lecture at the checkout Otherwise good store easy to navigate!
I’m pretty disappointed, I’m hesitant to use balloons anyway for the environmental factor but needed them for a show. So bought helium as there was a large number of balloons to do. Helium wasn’t very good, but the main thing I was disappointed in was when I went to take the helium canisters back for them to reuse, I found out they don’t… talk about environmental impact. Not impressed spotlight.
Manager here, a male I think his name was Adrian, was very rude. Did not accept my returned curtain rod even though it was unused, I did assemble it and decided against putting it up. All packaging was there said it was because I had opened it. Anyhow staff are generally nice and helpful, If the manager is not good then staff will be affected as to the atmosphere and he was cold as ice. Still there is no other place like Spotlight for what you need in craft and homeware stuff etc.
Had a lovely experience last week at Spotlight Melrose Park. I was in for some blinds but because I am no expert I was looking for advice and got exactly that. I am familiar with Janet over in curtains and Blinds but instead I had spoken to a young man Adrien and he was very helpful! I am redoing all my blinds in my house and he spent around 30 minutes with me going through the isles helping me find the ones I like! Unfortunately there was one size they didn’t stock but Adrien offered the cutting service within the store so I can get the size that I need.
I was also in need of some craft supplies for my granddaughter and was helped by a lovely Megan who showd me to the correct isle and offered addition help for what I needed. Very in depth customer service at Melrose Park!
Great service and advice on sewing projects. Love this shop, it's where I come for all my Arty Farty needs.
Phone rang out multiple times in the morning, eventually someone answered and took my phone number. No one called me back. I phoned the next day and the phone rang out multiple times again, until it seems someone took the phone off the hook. Terrible service, terrible store.
Waited 30 mins to get served at curtain counter. No one came despite ringing the bell muliple times. An assistant walked past to put fabric away looked at me and kept walking. Tried ringing the store in an attempt to request service but phone rang out, no one answered. Horrible store, stock just thrown there, no service
Decent sized store and well stocked. Staff know their stuff. But like all spotlight stores not all items are clearly labelled with their prices. Also some discounts are vague to what they include. Would be helpful if they had a few price checker points in store.
The company Needs to hire more staff.extremely understaffed. Huge wait times to be served or get help.the staff are friendly & do a good job Under the circumstances
Slightly run down and messy from what I am used to.but it has a wide range of baking equipment and royal icing inks/gel. Cricut vinyl were having a sale. Happy wife.happy times.
Low stock. Stock that is there, isn't marked with prices.lots of stock in the wrong place. Fabric section a disaster. Messy and untidy. No staff to help.
Very messy and rude staff. When asked if they knew anything about the paints. Staff member just laughed and said no. No price tags on over half the shop. Stock lying on floor in all aisles.
Where are the tickets for products? So much unmarked and who has time to go to the price check point for everything they might be interested in -_-
Get in early for customer service. This place gets chocka block of Granny’s and Karen’s.

I took some blinds and they seemed to do the job.
Went in to purchase a sewing machine and was wanting to put it on Afterpay. When I went up to the counter to do so I was informed that they don't do in store Afterpay only via online. And then to be told that they also don't do click n collect if you order online, they only deliver. What's the point in having Afterpay then if firstly it's not available in store and you can't collect it from in store also. Wasted my time coming in.
Why do I go here? I wanted a sheet set but merchandise is strewn all over the floor and hard to locate what you want. No staff to help. Long lines at the checkout.
To be honest, i went with my wife n she came out with lots of thing. Guess she got what she wanted. However, staff was nice as she was happy to help me when i enquired about one product.
Excellent range of bedding, towels, curtains, material and craft items. Great place to shop. Staff are friendly and helpful.
I researched the product I wanted to buy the day before I travelled from Happy Valley. When I got there I was told they didn't have it in stock. I explained that their website said they had it in stock. The girl then stated that it was probably out the back and she couldn't help me. What a disappointing attitude. I would also suggest that you need to review your receipting and stock replenishment procedures. I normally go to Noarlunga and will continue to do so from now on. I might suggest that your IT people need to be more efficient with their stock updates to save customer's time. You shouldn' have to call for every item you want to buy.
