Sage Hotel Adelaide reviews
70Amazing bed and pillows. Clean, modern room and wonderful views. Staff excellent. Will certainly stay here again
Restaurant closed room service avaluable food was tasty at close to reasonable rates. They just don't answer the phone to place order.reception was good room was clean.
Bathrooms, linen, rooms were clean. Lots of parking on site but also free parking directly outside the hotel. There were options to extend the check out time. Staff were very accommodating.
Terrible stay. Booked a queen suite for 3 nights, months in advance, requesting a quiet room. I was put in an accessible room (disabled room) and am by no means disabled or require such needs. The room was far from comfort, it was next to the laundry which was incredibly noisy from early morning to late at night (approx 6am-10pm). The bathroom has no vanity leaving nowhere to place toiletries or items, no shower curtain or door therefore the bathroom floor got soaked, wasn’t given a face washer, the window view was industrial sheds that you can’t see past, the room itself was dingy and the bed was basically as low as the floor making for an uncomfortable sleep amongst all else. I called reception 3 times requesting to move to no avail and was not offered any discounts although I did not get what I paid for. I’d stayed here many times before and loved it when it was The Sage Hotel, but I won’t be coming back. Not sure if it’s new owners but it’s no longer a nice stay, absolute dump.
Went to a the show Faulty Towers which was amazing! The food was a 3 course meal & good value for $60 which included the show.
Botanic Room at the Terrace was pleasant & serving staff were friendly.
Front reception area was quite nice, but when I booked in I was not given any directions to my room or any information on what was on offer in the hotel, there was also nothing in the room letting me knowing what was on offer either in the hotel or around Adelaide, this would be quite essential for out of state visitors. The lifts need some serious attention. We stayed in an executive king balcony room, bed was good, lounge pathetic, the bathroom was very out dated and cracked tiles every where. In the adds on the website the rooms look much better, and they brag about the tv, which was out dated and didn't even have the advertised Foxtel. Dinner in the restaurant was ok, nothing outstanding and service staff were on different levels depending on who attended to you. Upon check out the only comment spoken to me was " all good you are now checked out", my suggestion would be to ask the customer if they had a good stay or was there anything that could be improved upon. We have stayed in much better and also much worse. I do hope they can do something to improve. I would not be in a hurry to go back.
We originally booked a family room, then plans changed so we tried to change to a normal double room on arrival but were told there were none, even though they were available to book online, and on Wotif.
So we ended up with our 1st floor family room, which is fine but the view is a colorbond wall 1m from the balcony, and it's covered in cigarette butts, ash and someone's dirty underwear!
We were in a room on the 10th floor. Fantastic views over the city and the parklands. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Only complaint would be no Fox on tv.
This is a lovely place to stay. The service, the rooms and meal was all top quality. Recommend checking this out.
Great location. But the keys gave us a lot of trouble. Good sized rooms. TV doesnt play any apps. Would not recommend the dining options.
Hotel Lobby lovely, Staff at reception very helpful, breakfast girls fantastic service, organisation skills Fawlty Towers Towers dinner show was so much fun.
I left my phone charger in the room and was told it wasn’t there. So someone has a charger that belongs to me
Speaking as a gigging muso I found the venue very easy to access and park, albeit it was at 0630, for bump-in etc. Staff were great, friendly and helpful especially Luke T, and Jane. It was great to feel welcomed instead of being a nuisance in their day. Thanks guys.
This is my go to place in Adelaide. Close enough to the attractions yet far enough away to escape the bustle.
Convenient and central location, clean facilities and friendly staff.
Management were efficient and effective. There was a misunderstood with our booking - the management were able to quickly resolve and the entire group was very pleased with the outcome.
Looking forward to staying there again when I next visit Adelaide. Would recommend.
Stayed in the motel section rooms were amazing, it was quiet bed and pillows dreamy and opening the door allowed a nice breeze and view of the park. Meals at the restaurant were fantastic fresh, great service and even saw the boss helping out at breakfast. So worth staying and will come back, also easy walk to trams.
It starts all from here. We got a state $100 holiday voucher and had to pay extra $63 for a overnight stay in the CBD hotel along with parking and free brekky for 2A 2K. What a deal in itself which turned out even better throughout the stay. Easy checkin, clean room and beddings. The mattress was super comfy and we had a good night sleep. The best part was the free brekky next morning. Really nice decent breakfast you could choose from the menu included with the room price. The breakfast was equivalent or even better than the breakfast at a decent Cafe. All of us came out super satisfied with what we got throughout the stay.
Thank to SA Government for the $100 voucher otherwise we would have never experienced this hidden gem in the CBD. The hotel being close to tram stop at South Terrace, we took few rides in the tram and went to Torrens river and Chinatown that night and felt like a tourist although we have been living in Adelaide for the last 14 years.
With that price range, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommended for a night stay.
They totally forgot to do the house keeping today. And the room looks totally different from the pics that they put on the website. Old equipment as well. And the water in the sink runs really slow. Not a happy experience. Don’t even wants to give one single star.
Great location, friendly service. Excellent breakfast, beautiful soft bed and pillows with rooms with balcony was a great view of the parks/ city. Had internet troubles, but other wise was a nice stay!
Was nice but the windows leaked and let alot of really cold air in and the sliding door to balcony was banging all night in the wind
