RSPCA South Australia- Lonsdale Shelter reviews
69 The animals all seemed to be well looked after in the time they spent there. It didn't seem to take them long to find new homes when we were looking, each week we went nearly all the ones from the previous weeks had been re-homed.
Eventually found the dog for us, even though he's the breed and sex we said we wouldn't be getting, Harry was just full of love!
Horrible experience. Drove over an hour to meet some puppies I had made an appointment for. I was 10 minutes late to my appointment and the attitude of the staff was quite rude. Upon waiting at the center I was told they texted me about the dogs not being unavailable because they were unwell, and having checked my phone I noticed the message got sent a total of 8 minutes before my appointment, so they can tick the box they did the right thing. Drive 80 minutes just so that you're told right before you're appointment that you can't do it. Here comes the worse part, I believe it was a bit of a lie, as I saw a family petting one of the puppies avaliable and overheard staff talk about the adoption of that particular puppy. Interesting how he was ill for me.but this family was playing with him and getting ready to adopt him right in front of me. Terrible service, and sadly has made me want to go through a breeder rather than save a dog needing adopting simply to not have to deal with unfriendly and unwelcoming staff, and I believe dishonest as well. Sad.
Helpful staff, you need to have an appointment to adopt. Pet food a little more expensive than normal store but at least your helping a wonderful service.
Absolutely pathetic management/staff - After recieving a cat who's liver was shutting down but they just assumed he was 'shy' and that's why he doesn't move about and is hunched over. I was also applying to volunteer at the rspca and after recieving an e-mail from one person saying they could definitely use me all I had to do was sit a 1 hour youtube video and answer questions, I also got another e-mail but it went to junk mail saying no. When I enquired it wasn't because I answered any questions wrong or that they couldn't use me as a volunteer but because apparently I was rude for asking them how they could possibly release an animal without a proper medical exam. Apparently my attitude wasn't what they were looking for.
Pretty face on a tragic business this should not be necessary all animals should be loved and fairly treated support it give your love to these people they do a fantastic job.
I am a volunteer at rspca in dog care team and i loved it. The staffs are kind and give instructions on what to do next while volunteering. Proud to be a rspca volunteer
Our darling little 8 weeks old Ricky from RSPCA Londsdale, thankyou so much for our beautiful new fur baby!
I understand covid might have changed the way you view your next family companion but seriously a person needs to interact with an animal to see it's i
I dropped in to donate blankets etc for dogs bedding while they are being housed there, also dropped an 8kg bag of dry dog food because I have always found the people there to be friendly and helpful
