Rawnsley Park Station reviews
81More people should get out of their lounge chairs, jump in the car and go and visit places like this. The people are great and so welcoming. It is a very picturesque place with its beautiful natural bush and the mighty magnificent mountains and escarpments of Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Rangers.
Very expensive, so called top line cabins cheaply made Bathroom, sorry called shower room extremely tight, hand basin separate. Beds and air-conditioning are brilliant.
Have stayed in cabins 1/4 price that were better.
.
Eco Villas: absolutely worth the extra expense. Beautifully maintained and furnished, amazingly comfortable bed and daily housekeeping that included thoughtful touches such as restocking of coffee pods, breakfast items and more.
Great experience and definitely one we will do again in the future.
Absolutely fantastic with stunning views. The swimming pool in the valley is a big relief after you reach there in summer. Fantastic bush camping sites too. Many 4x4 tracks. A lot of wild life.
Had an amazing experience here at the station. The eco villa was exactly what I was expecting - and that was a quite peaceful stay with stunning views of the ranges, and a full set of amenities including a great bbq, which I used to cook a stunning wagu steak on. I also recommend the 4WD champagne sunset experience with was run by the resort manager Andrew. Amazing sunset views of the chase + elder + wilpena pound ranges, on top of a hill in the station.
Excellent experience, first time to the Flinders, plenty to do. The villas are very nice, well appointed and the staff are very friendly
The view from our cabin was breathtaking. A beautiful sight and a great place to recharge. The Arkaroo rock was the highlight of the trip and only 5 minutes away from the station.
The Woolshed restaurant has a very nice view and a great place to have a drink however the food is overpriced and limited to vegetarians. I received 6 pieces of broccoli? And cauliflower infused with lemon at the high cost of $12. I might add that there was no lemon taste at all. Despite the disappointing and overpriced vegetables it is a beautiful place to stay
We camped at the caravan park and it was absolutely amazing. Best views of the ranges and within minutes from the most scenic drives and hikes.
Excellent base location to visit Flinders Ranges.
Comfortable accommodation in individual units.
It was amazing to find a little gem like this in amongst the mountains. We stayed in the eco villas and they where a surprise. Well done to the owners for the foresight. It was very comfortable and well designed, hiding in the trees. There where kangaroos hoping around in the mornings to watch over breakfast.
The Champagne while watching the sunset was a great experience-thanks Maddie.
The flight over the ranges was again magnificent an don't miss it!
The food was five star- accolades to the chef as her lamb dinner would be a hit in any restaurant.
Peter -tour guide also entertained us with his music, as did another guest- made a nice impromptu evening, only to be followed by our delicious dinner.
I thank you for the hospitality and would highly recommend it to any traveller- call in and be spoilt.
Nice spaced out park. Amenities are clean. Good camp kitchen. Great base point to go visiting the attractions around the Flinders Ranges.
Staff were extremely friendly and accomodating to my friends and I who wanted to change sites after checking in. All facilities including the restaurant were great which made the stay even more enjoyable. The activity recommendations by staff were great as well and we will definitely be back in a couple of years
Always a fantastic spot for a peaceful recharge. We camp in the unpowered area but still have access to the toilets and showers. The Woolshed Restaurant is a gem in the middle of the bush.
This for me and my brother was a 5 star experience. The staff provided first class service, knowledge and friendly customer interaction. The food great, the staff great, the area great. Highly recommend this wonderful part of SA to unwind, de-stress and relax in. Do it.you will not regret your stay. Thankyou all at Rawnsley Park. Best Wishes Rocky Feo
Helicopter flight super expensive, and got short changed by 5 minutes.
But views were Fantastic.
Stayed for 10 nights in the caravan park. Had a great site with magnificent views of Rawnsley Bluff. By now the lack of Communications should be fixed. The only drawback during our visit.
Fantastic spot to explore the Flinders Ranges, we stayed in camp ground in swags. Camp kitchen had everything we needed, bathrooms were clean. Very friendly staff who were on hand to advise for walking and driving routes. Loads of Emus with their babies walking around, sheep, kangaroos, beautiful birdlife too. Woolshed restaurant was fantastic, highly recommended.and to get there
Staff excellent toilets spotless main selling point good toilet paper only downer past user had had fire on ground not in fire drum
Job well done team
Stayed two days in accommodation which was excellent, well furnished and week supplied.
Due to being busy, the next two days were in a cabin in the caravan Park. Much smaller of course, but they still supplied towels as an unexpected bonus, and the cabin didn't feel cramped at all!
Highly recommended
Great place, lots of walks and activities to do around the station. Caravan park was well laid out with great amenities, prices were competitive and it was very quiet and relaxing!
