We just did the Arkapeena 4WD track - just go to reception and get the keys. One for the first part which is good 3-4 hours of maybe medium 4WD track. Did it while it was spitting rain and it was fine. Didn’t end up doing to “red” low range track but that will be for another day. Great service and highly recommended.

Highly recommend the superior units, our 2 bed-room unit was clean, modern and had great views of the ranges! The pool was so refreshing after a day’s hike and also great views. We say kangarooos and emus wondering around from the pool and just from our balcony/patio. Lovely sitting outside just for the views.
Location was central for all the attractions.walking trails and also a short walk to the woolshed restaurant.
We booked via luxury escapes and included continental breakfast provisions which was plenty for our stay!

Unpowered caravan site was excellent. Nice and level and great views. Private but close enough to the great shower and toilet block. Plenty of hot water and very clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

There are good facilities for caravan/campers and great hikes within the park. They will mind your dog for the day for a fee if you wish to visit national parks so we have really enjoyed ourselves here and hope you do too.

We spent 6 nights here in the bush camping area. Everything about Rawnsley Park exceeded our expectations and our stay was the highlight of our 7 week road trip from Tasmania to south west WA and back. Sitting on the deck at The Woolshed with a cold beer looking up at Rawnsley Bluff at sunset is an especially great experience. We’re already planning our return next year! And a big thank you to the hard-working staff who do a fantastic job.

The cabins were spacious with most comfortable beds and pillows, squeaky clean, came with luxurious towels and linen.
Juxtaposed in the valley are the cluster of cabins with a swimming pool, the Woolshed Restaurant and further inwards are beautiful eco villas sandwiched by the caravan park that stretches up the hillside.
The Wool Shed restaurant had stunning meals, beautifully and perfectly cooked roo, goat stew amongst other dishes.
Desserts were not shout out loud good like the meals, cooked breakfasts were a disaster with cold dark toast that taste like sawdust and over cooked scrambled eggs. However, muesli bowls of fruit compote and yougurt were acceptable.
Great accessibility to hikes nearby and the restaurant balcony is the place to be at sunset.
A short hike up Saddleback towards sunset is also recommended for stunning views.

Our second stay, first was in a cabin, this time camping on a powered site. Great staff, good pricing all round. Lovely staff and food at the woodshed. Thank you!

We camped in the non powered sites in the bush camp. You could park anywhere and lots of room so not next to anyone. Showers were great. Laundry was handy but only one dryer as others out of order. Would stay again

I have been going to Rawnsley Park for many years now, and this was the first time I've been disappointed with my visit. We booked a cabin, and on first arrival, i noticed that the cabins had been relocated. There was a huge lineup of people trying to book in. Turns out the park was overbooked, and there were people absolutely everywhere. The cabins that once looked out at the Wilpena Pound had been moved to another area where the benefits were area was more secluded but no view.

When dealing with staff and getting key to the cabin. They were fantastic.i can not speak more highly of the two working under pressure and still managed to be so accomdating and friendly.

The new cabin location some bright spark decided to put the firepit about 3 metres from the cabin door entrance so have a guess which direction the smoke decided to travel in.yup even with minimal opening and closing of the cabin door everything smelt soo badly of smoke.

The biggest disappointment is the fact that the Woolshed Restaurant located on the property no longer serves their famous lamb pizza. Given that it's a sheep station, it was a part of the experience eating meat from the property and let me tell you something it was no word of a lie the greatest pizza i have ever eaten and would easily drive from Adelaide yearly just for the pizza. My partner was disappointed as it was all i kept going on about. Spoke to numerous people around the park who agreed, saying the pizza needs to be put back on the menu regardless of who the current chef is. What made things worse was that the pizza was smaller and was not cooked. The base wasn't cooked at all yet edges burnt. We dont take things back, so 2 minute noodles it was for dinner.

We ended up having campers right behind us because they had overbooked and had random people walking along our front steps of our cabin because it was in the was of a walking trail.

The cabin we stayed in leaked on the kitchen bench due to rain or plumbing came through wall and it was where my phone and keys were sitting so they sat in a heap of water all night i only realised when i woke the next morning.

This is a lengthy review because Rawnsley Park station was my favourite place in the world, and i wanted my partner to experience that same feeling i get going to this station. It didn't happen!

We had a good time but sadly the only thing to spoil our time was the near enough CONSTANT yelping/barking of the puppies they were trying to sell, it spoilt our and many other campers evening sitting around the fires just hearing that constantly and waking up to it too early in the morning. If we come back I'll be checking they haven't got puppies. I can only imagine if that noise was coming from one of the camp sites

What a spectacular location. The eco villa we stayed in was modem and comfortable with an amazing view. We did some walks and cycling around and we also did their heli camping experience. Matt our pilot really made that for us. Blows your mind to be dropped off on the side of a cliff with your swag set up and your food and wine for the evening delivered for you. Campfire created a perfect ambience. Food comes from the woodshed restaurant - main cheese board and a little cake for dessert. Also included two bottles of wine. The sunset and sunrise we experienced was unforgettable. The swags are there permanently and you are given sleeping bag liners. We would have preferred fresh sleeping bags and pillows though. They seemed a little too lived in. The toilet on-site was horrific. Needs work definitely. Also the area around camp could do with some attention. A lot of loose rocks which were problematic after dark. The service at the reception could be better. They didn’t have a lot of knowledge about the available cycling trails or the heli camping experience. Overall though Rawnsley park station is a world class experience.

We camped in the bush camp park, best views, wild life and not many flies for the time of the year we visited, December. Lovely place, one of the best Gems in SA. Will be back again. Recommend doing the off-road tracks through the Rangers, that are near by, park staff are very friendly.

We've been to Rawnsley Park Station multiple times a year for the last 6 years, it's our favourite place in the world, so much so we even got engaged there. However, our recent trip in October was the worst experience we've ever had. We bush camped as usual and found the new caravan park managers not overly friendly and the amenities were revolting. We also stayed in a superior cabin for one night which was dirty when we checked in. Thankfully we were offered a discount on our next stay as compensation for the dirty cabin but it was a disappointing experience. We'll keep returning because we love the station and it has history for us but we really hope the cleaning will be improved along with the friendliness of the caravan park managers.

Booked to stay for two nights with my partner, Fell ill on the first night and wanted to check out a day earlier but management would not give Refund or even credit note to use for another time even if I provided a doctors certificate!
Can understand the no refund but to not even give a credit note to use for another day.disappointed!

Edit:

Yes I am aware the booking was non refundable, I asked if you were able to do a credit to use for another time, wasn't expecting a refund. I did ask for a credit to use at a later date but was told no which is a bit unusual considering its still been paid for and the circumstances of why we had to leave our accommodation early!
Was expecting to be more friendly and accommodating but definetly didn't feel that way.

A fantastic experience all round. Everyone should visit this unique part of Australia and staying at Rawnsley Park is a great base to see it from. Very friendly, helpful, clean and such an amazing view right in front of you! So well worth it.

Magical spot with all the facilities a family, couple, single traveller would require.
Amazingly well kept pool and amenities.
Camp kitchen was well equipped with all creature comforts.
The station managers were amazing, went out of their way to make everyone's stay pleasant.
Will be recommending to all myfriends family.

Love Rawnsley Park. Great place to stop and take a break. Caters for all likes of people with tents to big vans. Has disable toilets, showers etc too. Great place to check out the Flinders Ranges.

Enjoyed 4 days of uninterrupted peace and solitude in a luxury 4 star Eco Villa, watching glorious sunsets and magnificent views of the Flinders Ranges, and touring stunning Morilana Scenic Drive, Wilpena Pound and Parachilna Gorge.

A great place to be at any time, but even more so when Adelaide is unbearably noisy and congested with SuperCar 500 motor racing.

Stayed in the eco cabins, they are excellent. Clean and tidy plus nature just walks by your deck!
