What an absolute nightmare.
Got some forms to get bloods done, went to Abbots pathology and got them done.a week later called the surgery they said they have still not received results.called back a week later, still no results.so i rang abbots they said they had sent them twice! Turns our plympton park surgery dont have the download system to get results.and their fax machine is broken! And i have to wait till next week when the fax machine is working again.three weeks for results what an absolute run around! Would not recommend in the slightest!
State of plympton park surgery is also appalling! Clean your water dispenser, gross!

I used to see a doctor Papps at this practice and he was usually very good, but unfortunately he's now retired so I had to pick another doctor. I chose Dr Aslam at the same practice, but have found several times now that Dr Aslam cuts me off when describing my symptoms which leads to him prescribing the wrong medication.

The most recent example of this was last week when I came in with a large red lump on top of my kneecap 1cm underneath the skin, I began by explaining the area began with dry skin over the area two months ago (at which point he cut me off and wouldn't let me get another word in!), I would have continued to say (if I had been given the chance) that for the last few weeks the area had gone from very sore, to numb, to the lump getting bigger, hardening and being quite pronounced, but instead of listening, Dr Aslam just prescribed me with a cream for dry skin and simply said 'ok done'! Which is clearly not what the issue is with my knee.

I now have to change doctors so that I can find one whom listens to their patients to get this knee investigated properly.

Prior to this incident I had a chest infection which needed antibiotics to clear it up (having had chest infections frequently throughout my life I was well aware of what it was), I had to literally argue with Dr Aslam to finally get him to prescribe antibiotics, which, a week later, cleared up the infection as it normally does.

I guess if you need a doctor for extremely simplistic two-second-long appointments like refilling a script then Dr Aslam would likely be fine, but a doctor whom doesn't listen to his patients and ignores symptoms is not a good one.

Am in the process of finding a new GP at a different clinic to transfer my medical files to.

Dr Kalaivani Ekambram is a wonderful gentle and patient doctor who listens to her patients and allows you plenty of time. I hope she comes back after maternity leave as she is defintately my favourite GP there.

The receptionist I spoke to on the phone was unnecessarily rude when trying to figure out multiple appointments within a week.

Terrible experience. I went there with my husband and saw Dr. Saunderson today. In Dr's room, I had quick chat with my husband in our language about what he suggested me. Then he told us that's rude to talk in other language in front him. I cannot use my language between family? That's terrible.

1st appointment amazing. Easy and quick. 2nd appointment made for 620pm. They close at 6pm. Did not receive any notice that this was the case and showed up to my appointment only to find it closed with a sign reading 'hours of operation 8.30am to 1.00am'

Always a good experience here. Bulk bill my 2 main Dr Graham Murphy and Ernest Saunderson mostly on time. Best part of this practice is it's booking only.no random people walking in expecting to be seen.
Convenient booking app. Always been happy here and definitely reccomend.

Terrible service, I have a terrible needle phobia and went here for my last blood test. Fast forward 3 months hospital never got the results so checked in here and shockingly they lost the results yet again. Front desk staff also seem clueless 50% of the time as well as a massive wait for doctors. When I got in to see one recommended to see a nurse, nothing was put forward from doctor.

Doctors are always late, admin staff are rude, they let you sit and wait for a doctor that hasn't even arrived for the day!

Long waiting time, what is the point of an appointment if you still have to wait for hours? Just make this practice as walk in and people would know what they should be expecting.

I have been seeing Dr Saunderson for 3 years now. I have never had a regular GP in my life and now he's the only Doc I see.
Following his advice I've never felt better and you just know he genuinely cares about improving your health and wellbeing.
Professional, funny, never rushes you and there's always an appointment available.
The practice is newly renovated, clean and the receptionists are always lovely.

I went in to get my reports checked as I had high temperature. But one of the doctors refused to provide me a medical certificate even when i wasn't feeling well. Disappointed with the service. Not visiting again.

I have been seeing Dr Saunderson for over 5 years. Over this time i have followed him to different practices. Dr Saunderson really takes his time to listen and get the to the bottom of each issue ive had. He is extremely patient and understanding and i value his opion. I would rate him 10 / 10 and i would like to thank him for this.
Reception staff are helpful and lovely to chat too

Plympton Park DNS has been my local surgery for almost 2 years and I have visited many times due to ongoing health issues. The receptionists are lovely, especially Belinda. I've seen most doctors at the surgery and while most see you rather quickly, I believe this is mainly due to the way most of the bulk billing surgeries are ran these days, more patients means more money as they don't get the higher fees that private practices do so they need a higher influx of patients. It also means I've never had to wait longer than half an hour (and that's on a bad day, with a popular doctor) whereas other surgeries I've wait over an hour to see someone and paid premium prices. Dr. Ernie Saunderson is my preferred doctor as he will listen to your needs and give you the time required, he'll also have a laugh with you about anything. Dr. Clarke will do the same, he's even taken extra measures to educate me when others haven't and investigate further. Dr. Bhati is new to the surgery and very welcoming, she made an uncomfortable procedure more comfortable and easy than I've had with any female doctor.

Made a booking with Dr Saunderson and was one of the worst Dr/patient consults that I have ever experienced. Absolutely no bedside manner and was definatly not friendly or approachable. Was in and out within 5 minutes, did not get asked what my symptoms were or how I was feeling. Completely dismissive of the few words I was able to say regarding my symptoms but instead seemed totally fixated on when I had consumed alcohol last and whether this was related to my symptoms? (For the record I had not had any recently as I’ve been sick). After a barely there 60sec examination of me he basically said I wasn’t actually sick, based on this short, appalling assessment. I am a hard worker. I don’t take sickies. For me to go see a Dr means I really am actually sick, but he just seemed to think I was hungover, which was highly offensive. If he can misdiagnose something as simple as this what else could he get wrong. Some advice mate - listen to your patients. This was an absolute complete waste of time, and I left feeling upset and angry at being treated like I was. This Dr is supposed to be a “medical professional”, but from my experience this was anything but. You can make your own mind up but there is a reason why there are so many one star reviews on here, and why so many bookings are available. I will not be back. If you must come here do yourself a favor and avoid this Dr. That’s all I have to say. One positive was the reception staff who were lovely, however this unfortunately did not make up for the shocking consult.

I was waiting for over an hour for an appointment I made while others were walking in and basically going straight through. Then I received the most useless doctor who also did not apologise for being that late. Dr Abdullah was rude, inconsiderate and when i asked him to look at something, he half-assed checked and basically told me to go elsewhere. Please hire educated, open minded and nice doctors.

Doctors are always running late. Doctors and reception staff are very unhelpful and rude. Definitely not happy with this service. Don't recommend to no one at all. Think I'll go to a new doctors clinic instead.
