Pancakes At The Port reviews
84 I got the Eggs Hollandaise and the pancakes in it were one of the best that I have ever had. It was about 18 dollars, which I thought was standard
Good service. The pancakes came out very fast
For starters the location is great with the excellent view out on the water.
We had eggs Benedict was a bit different having it on pancakes but not I'm a bad way. I'm sure it's possible they would put it on toast if requested. Having said that the eggs were cooked well and the hollandaise sauce was very nice.
Only negative was the ham pieces, I think bacon rashers would of been better.
Contactless ordering made things easy just scan the QR code and pick from the menu on your phone straight from your table.
Service was quick and the cappuccinos were very good. Great breakfast experience with a view.
Had some lovely pancakes here, Such a good selection of pancakes and other items as well to choose from.
Quick and efficient service made the experience nice and I liked how you could order and pay on your phone at your table so you didn’t even have to get up out of your chair to do anything.
I liked this place. Food was up to scratch and fast. Seemed to be a little out of the way, but the view across the port is worthwhile. Prices were reasonable and they even managed to get the drinks out before the short wait for the food.
Went to the pancakes at the port with a group of friends. Excellent service and food. A great place to relax with friends and enjoy the dolphins.
As advertised on their online ordering system, there are vegan options including sweets. Taking my vegan son there for his birthday lunch we were disappointed that these were not available and only a savoury breakfast meal was offered (with foods he would not eat like hash browns, tomatoes and mushrooms). Although they had vegan pancakes (available for the breakfast meal) they were unable to adjust the meal and just give him pancakes with jam - no customer service. A very disappointed birthday boy.
Severely over priced for a $30 breakfast tiny bit of eggs on the side of the pancakes asked for scrambled eggs they were definately not scrambled more like steamed, $7.50 for orange juice is also a joke very pricey for what it is. Dissapointed
Been here quite a few times now and it just gets better. Can get quite popular on a Sunday morning. Dog friendly for outside patrons
Sign at entrance says to wait to be seated so we do so, only to be told we can sit where we like? Presented with two options for ordering, at the counter or on a phone app, resteraunt pushes to use the app as is the only way to change the meal items (for example use almond milk for a coffee) and provides a 10% discount compared to ordering via speaking to a human while in the resteraunt for dine in.
Drinks came in take away cups despite dining in but neither were made with almond milk as requested. When we asked for them to be remade we were advised we would be charged for them. Staff eventually agreed to remake the almond iced coffee with almond milk, they came back with almond milk + icecream in a takeaway cup, no coffee whatsoever.
Maple syrup + marshmallow for a babycino also came in takeaway containers and bags?
The actual food itself was reasonable and at a good standard for quality and quantity but by the time we received we were already quite soured by the customer service.
All in all, paid 60 dollars (after 10% discount) to not get the drinks we asked for the first time OR second time, an alienating ordering experience with no customer service and merely agreeable food
Great service by very friendly and attentive staff. Food was very nice and arrived piping hot. Using the app to order was a simple process with the drinks and food arriving promptly once the order had been placed. We will be back for sure.
Meals were nice there with the grandies not being able to eat all of their generous kid's meal. Food ordering could be a little daunting for a non-smsrt phone user especially if you want to deviate from their set menu to personalise your food order.
Lovely food, great setting!
I'll be back there again. SOON!
New feature to me was using QR code to access online ordering (saving 10% on the bill) as a COVIDSAFE measure!
Worked great and gave access to more choices than the standard menu!
Good one!
Overpriced! Not much customer service, u have to order online if I want to change something on your order & staff too busy to help you through the online order! What happened to good old fashion service! Food ok! Served my food with no cutlery so had to ask for it! Then had to ask again for salt & pepper! Should be on the tables. Orange juice served in a plastic cup what happened to glass? For the price they charge for it! Won’t be coming here again no customer service & too expensive! Rather go to Maccas! Cheaper & better!
Staff remembered us service above par wait time minimal food absolutely yummy and plentiful view is perfect watched the One and All ship leave dock and go under the bridge which raised up for other vessels to come and go A definite must go to place
Very poor. Meal was nice in theory.better with enough syrup or cream.how can one enjoy pancakes with half the requirement of condiments. Staff were ok, not overly enthused but smiles even if they were less than sincere. Sadly very disappointed for the amount paid and meal received.
Amazing staff, fast food and excellent service. The app for ordering was easy and quick. Large meal sizes but not large enough to be uncomfortable.
Absolutely beautiful little restaurant over looking the river. And the staff are absolutely gorgeous and love going that extra mile to make everyone’s dinner one to remember. Thank you for making our princess feel extra special for her birthday?
Pancakes not cooked probley, eggs tasted like they had been put in microwave, the other only good thing was the ice coffee. Everything served in take away containers I wouldn't even complain about that the food was way worse
Have been there more than 50 times and cannot hate there amazing German feast that gas been always delicious for up to 2 people. Fantastic customer service and a huge variety of foods to choose from breakfast to lunch.
Pancakes were undercooked, very dense and the centre turned back into batter when I ran my knife over it. Was told to order it extra cooked next time.every single other restaurant I've been to has cooked their pancakes to the right consistency without me asking.there won't be a next time. All I could hear in the background was the microwave going flat out which explained the rubbery eggs and the microwave tasting bacon. Very disappointing considering all the praise I've heard for it over the years. 10/10 would not recommend, wait till the original pancake kitchen opens in the new Port Canal, they cook their pancakes there.
