Otto's Bakery

A 'must visit' every time I'm in Handorf. Having a hot pie and a coffee in this old-style establishment is always comforting.

I had a cheese kransky for $7.25. It comes wrapped in pastry, which is a combo I've never had before. It was excellent and I'd love to return to try the chilli kransky next. Service was quick. There are a lot of different baked goods and pastries available.

We had the Chunky meat pie and it was exquisite! Otto's should hold your head high as this was voted best pie ever by my biker buddy from Queensland. And I strongly agree

I was honestly so dissapointed today! We have been coming here for years to get a salad roll on the way to the city and they "were the best but today we didn't get what we ordered, forgot the butter, gherkins and cheese. When I called to complain I was told the lady didn't read the order properly far too busy to turn around but I'm pretty sure we were overcharged for the items that were forgotten.
We are just so honestly dissapointed that the staff cannot pay attention to their job, it's just a salad roll it's not that hard.

We love this bakery. There are lots of options for people with different dietary requirements.
Personally one of my favourites is the vanilla slice.
If you are visiting Hahndorf put this bakery / Cafe on your list of places to go to.

We bought a whole carrot cake - it was absolutely delicious! Will definitely return when in area

Came here after reading the reviews. But it’s almost closing time thus not many choices of pies left. Had the sausage roll, blueberry cheesecake, GF orange cake and peanut butter cup with lattes. Coffee was great though the barista was under pressure as a crowd came gushing in.
Orange cake was great but the peanut butter cup was more coconutty than peanut butter. Still quite happy there are GF choices.
Probably be early if you want a good pie.

Stopped on our way home. The times shown aren’t correct as they were open when we stopped at 8: 30. Kids enjoyed the sausage roll, pie, and a slice of chocolate cake. Good service and clean establishment

Certainly the best baker in Hahndorf, remembered the 1st time I was there and went back soon this time! Also bought a lovely pie for tonights diner.wow, so good!

Delish pies, chicken & corn & chunky pepper steak, they are a meal in itself very filling. You have to try for yrself

Got there late in the day so lots of stuff sold but we still managed to get something tasty fd all the kids a gingerbread me yum

Vegetarian pastie with cheese was hot, cheesy and the pastry was buttery and the right amount of flakiness.
Fingerbun was as soft as a cloud.
Service was fast and friendly.
Can't wait to go back.

What a great place. Absolutely delicious food here, from pies, cakes, sandwiches, bread, various types of coffees for take away or dine in. Check it out.

We bought an fabulous family shepherd's pie as well as a selection of tasty sweet treats. The custard tart and vanilla slice were just ridiculously delicious.

Otto's Bakery in Hahndorf has wonderful range of pastries, soft drinks, sandwiches, and A large area, where you can sit inside especially if it's raining, and have a cup of coffee, hot chocolate and have something to eat. There is also an area out the front, a veranda with seats and tables which is absolutely wonderful to eat and drink under cover with fresh air. I do recommend visiting Otto's, you want be disappointed, also the prices are good, and there is good parking.a

Family Pie was great, nice flavour. Honey Log didn't taste like it was fresh and the girl serving us, was chewing gum with her mouth open while bagging our stuff

Hot food, coffee and sweets are delicious, staff do a great job as they often are quite busy but never a moment without a smile. The Bakers do a great job and unfortunately often looked past. Keep up the great work guys we will be visiting again real soon.

One of the best bakeries I've ever visited. The quality and taste was absolutely excellent. It was so good we went every morning during our stay in Hahndorf. The vanila slice is superb. Everything we tried was delicious. Great and friendly service. Highly recommended
