79 Such a frustrating place to visit. There’s always long waits, the last two times I had to leave after waiting 2 hours plus without seeing a doctor because I had to be somewhere.
I appreciate that as the medical center is a walk in my there’s a wait but the problem is with some reception staff who are openly rude and insulting. They don’t have any realisations that we are still the customer and we go there and through choice. They don’t care if patients leave because of their rudeness. I’ve been told off by a receptionist because I asked how long would it take to see someone and been told to sit and wait there’s a 2 to 3 hour wait. After waiting for over 2 hours on one occasion I asked the receptionist politely how much longer was the wait as I had to pick up my son and rudely responded to me that their busy and I should sit and wait or she would put me to the end of the list.
Today I was greeted by the same receptionist who spoke down to me. Didn’t make any eye contact with me, demanded responses to the mandatory Covid questions and then told me to sit down and wait. No smile or friendly greeting as per usual. I asked her how long was the wait as I had to let my wife know when I could pick her up and received the usual unfriendly reply ‘I don’t know 2 to 3 hours’ she said.
I told her that I’d prefer not to go ahead with the wait and would go somewhere else and she just responded ‘fine’ and ignored me from that point.
I made an appointment with a different medical center at the North East Family Practice just 5 minutes away where I was greeted by their very friendly and professional reception staff and within 5 minutes of entering the center was seen by a very thorough and professional doctor. I highly recommend the North Eastern Family Practice.
I did however, return to the North East Modbury Medical & Dental Clinic pharmacy to fill my prescription that I’ve had such a long and hard wait to renew. The staff of the Pharmacy are obviously not a part of the clinic and are always friendly and professional.
Will now be taking my family of 7 to the new medical center where we will be treated with respect.
I have waited for 25 mins over the phone, receptionist even didn't ask me about my query and put me on hold for that long. She kept putting me on hold after intervals without even talking to me. I disconnected the call after that long time on a call. Poor customer service and always short of Doctors.
Horrible. I walked in to your walk in clinic at 2pm on Saturday 20th of November with my 6 year old son who had a bleeding split lip. There was NO ONE waiting in the waiting room. It was completely empty. The receptionist turned us away because there was no available appointments? ! She wouldn't even call a nurse! I had to drive to the Modbury Hospital and wait 4 hours in the busy hospital for something that wasn't an emergency. Don't bother coming here. And don't forget your mask. They'll make you purchase one from the chemist. Can't even supply a paper mask!
The covid jab side
was very unprofessional had a nurse
I didn’t physically see her put hand sanitizer on
She did not wear gloves
not swab the skin
and opened my bandaid and stuck it on her bare skin then tried to place on my open jab wound
Not in my life have I ever seen such poorly medical training
When I spoke to her she claims she’s allowed to practice like that and when I was waiting the 15 minutes she handed me a piece of paper proving she didn’t need to swab … to my reply where’s the gloves and sanitizer part?
I was disappointed and disgusted in her manners and total disrespect for me
Especially when I asked for a print out of my medical record to which she said as she was manually writting that I just waisted her time writting on my card
And when I spoke to front desk about this it was just brushed off like I was a joke
We’re suppose to be looked after and made to feel comfortable and safe
I did not in this case and feel she should be pulled up on this ….
Absolutely disgusted I won’t be bringing my children there I’ll find another place
Always a pleasant experience attending the medical centre although my appointment times haven't been honoured yet. Good that most needs are catered for at the centre, with no need to go elsewhere.
Rule of thumb: if you can get a next day appointment with a doctor, or they have lots of available appointments sooner than other doctors, make sure they don't privately bill.
During the bookings process there is information (amongst the 100s of other bits of information) that will tell you if a particular doctor doesn't bulk bill. The clinic clearly advertises that they charge on Sat/Sun/PH, but the info about which doctors privately bill isn't easy to find. The receptionist was kind enough to mention it to me before my appointment, and when I said I hadn't realised I was offered a change of doctor, which was great.
Staff very friendly and attentive to my needs. Happy with the wait time. Natalie, Phoenix and Dr Ahmad were so knowledgeable with the excellent answers they gave me, and I felt very comfortable.
My first visit to a podiatrist at North East Medical centre was amazing. My feet feel so much better after today’s visit. Great start to my busy day off. Thank you ️
Rudest receptionists I have ever met. They don't care at all about the patients they are rude, cold and careless. Look absolutely miserable and can tell they hate their job. Wouldn't hurt to smile occasionally ladies!
I attended the medical centre tonight with burns to my neck, from the moment I walked in the receptionist was very nice and caring and took me straight to the triage room, three I was greeted and cared for by the nurse, who rang doctor to come and see me straight away, the service I received tonight was impeccable, thankyou again to all the staff that looked after me
Amazing centre with fantastic staff. Reception and nurses are very considerate and understanding. I have been seen to on two occasions and both doctors ensured to properly discuss my issues and ensure I understood what to do going forward.
Saw a "dental surgeon" as Ive got a cavity and tooth pain. Paid $150 just for them to say I have a cavity and refer me to 2 different dentists minimum 40 minutes away to either have removed or root canal. What a waste of time when I already knew that.
I was seeing Dr. Tang for years, he was an awesome, caring and understanding doctor. I am devastated that he's not coming back. The doctors that I have dealt with since have me thinking that I should go elsewhere.
The receptionist and radiographers in xray are always helpful and friendly.
I attend the North East Modbury Medical & Dental Centre when I don’t have time to make an appointment with my GP. I can see a doctor and have never had to wait for more than an hour. I especially like that the Centre opens at 7: 00 a.m. And the chemist is also open at that time so prescriptions can be filled at the time of consultation. The staff have always been friendly and professional. I recommend this medical centre.
Absolutely rip off for a dependent parent with a pension card and children.i paid 68 bucks for 2mins and didn't care.
Have been very well looked after with my ailments. Kind, friendly staff from front desk, to the nurses in the Treatment Room, to the Doctors themselves. Highly recommended.
Absolutely disgusting rude rejected a 4 month old in a emergency absolutely poor they should loose there job especially the receptionist who rejected the baby who was only 4 months old they should be sacked and a bad name so they never can work or get a job again
Receptionist were very rude over the phone and in person and pharmacy never gave the information about the medicine purchased.
THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT OPERATE WHEN THERE IS ONLY ONE DOCTOR CALLING A PATIENT EVERY 45MINUTES! What is the doctor doing for the whole 45mins when the patient has already left. This is for every patient! Get more staff! Also quoted one hour time and now been waiting 2 and a half hours! Absolutely CRAZY! Do not support this centre!
Doctors are great. ONCE you manage to get in. Constant 2/3 hr wait. 2 Doctors only and a wait time of 3hrs with over 30 people waiting. Doctors spend 10mins with 1 patient then take a further 15mins BEFORE they get the next patient. What a joke
