Matcha House reviews
65 I will give 5 stars for this place as it was an amazing nite for me and my friends. The dessert was awesome. Am not gonna lie, its yummy, the matcha creeme brulle, the lava cake and the queen durian 10/10, i finish it all. Also the drink was really good.
I know most of the review said bad service, for me it was 4/5 yes they need to be more friendly to their customer when servce or when talk, its just need little smile to welcome the customer but anyway the food was really good so we will be back again.
And yes you can either sit on the floor or on the table, they have 2 option for the sitting
Amazing place, I need to get back coz there are too many thing to taste! The lava cake matcha was incredible
Went here with friends. I got the yuzu tea and the matcha crème brûlée and I enjoyed both! We were there in the first hour of opening so it was a pretty nice and calm atmosphere.
Servers were polite and helpful too!
Decided to meet up with friends who have already ordered and finished some of their food. Was notified that we had to order two more desserts due to the one order per person rule or we would not be able to join them. I was fine with leaving (as they asked us to), but my friend who was already dining asked them what was the problem with us staying as it was not busy. They agreed to let us stay and I thought everything was all good. After the same friend left early, the staff came by again and asked us to leave even though the restaurant was closing soon with all other customers staying. Therefore, there was really no need to kick us out especially after you let us stay! This obviously was a turn off at how desperate they were to kick us out. The desserts (I tried my friend’s drinks) were actually decent, so was just disappointed at the customer service. I am aware of your policy, but just shocked at the lack of customer service so please don’t give us a rude response like you did to all the other reviewers who rated you low!
The matcha lava cake was absolutely to die for. All the desserts and drinks that I saw on other tables also looked amazing and servers were extremely polite and happy. I also love that you have a choice to sit in a traditional area or on tables. Definitely will be going back, I want to try everything on their menu!
Best Japanese dessert in Adelaide! I came here with my family and they have everything for older people and younger people. Perfect for family gathering. I will definitely come back here before I go back to Korea. I'm gonna miss this when I go back: (
The atmosphere was amazing. We got to choose where we want to sit. We sat at the traditional area. The staff were all very friendly. We also very enjoyed the dessert. We ordered matcha crème brûlée and matcha sundae.
An Asian style dessert house you can go at night.
The dessert here is alright for me, nothing special but nothing disappointing either way. They close at 10: 15pm which is a bit earlier than before if my memory is correct. Not many Asian desserts shops in Adelaide can open till late. So I rated it 4 stars as it provides a place I can go with my friends after dinner without drinking wine or beer.
Best dessert place for matcha and tea lovers! I love their ice cream parfait (houjicha and matcha flavour are the best) and they have various types of tea. Only get 1 time for free refill of hot water, extra charge will be applied for the second refills. Still a good place to go tho.
They have too many unreasonable rules, and the one-order-per-person- policy is absurd. They even charge you to use their cutlery / plates. The rules are something that i've never seen before in Adelaide, and is too much that customers cant even enjoy themselves
Lovely dessert Asian Matcha place with nice decoration even costy ice-cream. I like matcha ice-cream and matcha parfait
Charged 50 cents for requesting cutleries even though we meet the minimum Order requirement. Very restrictive and not enjoyable. Food is okay and can be considered good only because Adelaide does not have many options to offer.
My friend Brittany and i decided to sit traditional style which was a new experience for the both of us
Great matcha dessert place that opens till late. Has a wide variety of teas and variations of matcha desserts.
Has a Japanese vibe with both normal and traditional seating where you sit on tatami mats.

I like the traditional seating and the ice cream was good. The hojicuia ice cream was too icy and the matcha latte needed more zing. A great dessert place overall
Food is just sooo goood
Like the matcha flavour here
Ordered matcha lava cake and houjicha
They were sooo good
Definitely a go to dessert place for matcha loverrr
Wide variety of matcha items, as well as other teas and desserts.
1 item per person with no discretion for variation depending on circumstances is a bit ridiculous, especially considering how steep the prices are.
Most expensive tea I’ve ever purchased in my life. It was nice, but not worth that much. Particularly also giving the attitude received from staff.
As a group we ended up spending more here than on our dinner out… based on the prices alone we wouldn’t come back here.
Fantastic dessert, though a little pricey. Love their matcha lava cake and ice cream daifuku. Highly recommend.
They were extremely busy when we arrived, manged to get a sit with in minutes.
Good dessert, friendly staff, quick service.
The whole store and atmosphere is so beautiful and soothing to be in. The servers are very kind and friendly. The food was amazing! The wait time was a little while but was to be expected seeming as they were completely packed. We got a matcha lava cake and matcha soft serve. They both had perfect matcha flavour and were too sweet aswell. The matcha latte was so smooth and rich in flavour. The traditional Japanese style serting was very comfortable and made a unique experience. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone, especially matcha lovers. We will be coming back again.
