Kingdom / Star House Chinese Restaurant reviews
83 Was fabulous
Lobster, beef, fried rice, champagne, pinot, grigio
Won't be disappointed
Native Cantonese. All I can say is
-This restaurant is outrageously overpriced
-The foods are no where authentic and are of lowest quality I have ever seen in Australia
凤爪系臭既,牛仔骨15刀好似风干牛肉咁,而且就得个骨,肠粉又散又难吃,真系不如用d钱过对面subway食个三文治
RUN
掉头走啦
Had Yam Cha here today. Food's fresh and tasted great. Staff are well presented (Also, wearing masks properly). Place looks very clean (bathroom and kitchen included). Will definitely recommend.
The food was tasty, but the customer service from the staff was disappointing, racist to non-white customers. My friend and I are both Asian, was treated with impatience and shortness. While the neighboring table with two white customers were treated by the same waiter with full hospitality. Are Asians not worthy of your hospitality in this restaurant?
The worst takeaway I’ve ever had! Ordered at 7pm, delivered at 8: 45. Taste different between dine-in. Chicken even not fully cooked!
Food was good however staff’s behaviour is different towards non-caucasian people. Kind of ironic and amusing to see their desperation to please a certain race. Disappointed
Youtiao rice noodle roll
baked custard bun
baked bbq pork pie
fried ice cream
fried taro stuffed w/ pig prawn
egg tarts
shumai
pumpkin w/ red bean
chicken feet

: Best yumcha I’ve had in a long time. A wide selection of Cantonese style yumcha that you won’t find as easily. The restaurant is huge so even when it’s busy, you won’t need to wait for too long.
️: I was so excited to see the Fried Taro with Pork & Prawn Filling as well as the 炸两 Fried Chinese Donuts Wrapped in Rice Noodle. Two of my most favorite yumcha dishes ever! The Baked BBQ Pastry was to die for, the pastry so flakey and the filling so flavorful. And can’t finish up a meal without something sweet like Fried Ice Cream and? Egg Tart.
Yum yum yum.seriously the best lobster noodles I’ve had for a long time. Place was packed with numerous sitting right up to about 09: 30pm! Delicious & would go back again ASAP
The best Chinese restaurant in Adelaide, food and service is all excellent, only disappointment is waiting time may be bit long coz they are really too busy.
Fabulous with recent upgrades this restaurant has lifted the bar yet again with very tasteful styling, private function area new entrance way and fine wine display truly welcomes you in the door! Staff are excellent and the food is spot on. Price point is on the mark and if you want to step it up that can be accommodated with their live seafood range.yum!
As the best restaurant in Adelaide as other people said. It is much worse than Me hua in Hobart and Northbridge Chinese Restaurant in Perth where they are in remote areas. Just normal taste. Under expectations
After living in Sydney for 6 years an Brisbane for a year, is it just me or this is how expensive yum cha in Adl is? Cost us $50 for two person! We came on a Sunday and just by sitting down not ordering food, a pot of tea to share, that's $7 per head. We overheard the table next to us complaining about the same. Sunday surcharge is ridiculous.
Having said that the food was decent, but not sure it's worth the price.
Nice place.some dishes are much better than others but overall it's something to expect from a large menu
The worst, don’t want to give even a star. We went there at 12 pm and they gave us two selections of having outside or waiting one hour for inside. We decided wait. However, when we went there again at 1pm, they gave the seat to other customers instead of us.
The staff are were so unprofessional and, disinterested in serving me and my friend. We waited for a long time before our food was brought to the table. When it got to the table it was cold. They served there own Chinese people first and gave them better service than us. They need to reconsider their service and realise that this is not China, and that everyone should be able to dine in any restaurant they wish to in Australia. Customers should be treated as equal as every customer that walks through the doors.
It was great food, I highly recommended to all my friends and relatives this restaurant is absolutely perfect in any occasions.
Terrible service from the manager. Messed up a simple booking where we had to wait an hour and insisted that we chose the wrong time even though another waiter confirmed the correct booking.
One of the only times I left food behind. To start, bowls were dirty. Among the orders was crispy beef and for the most part, the dish had more fried batter than it did beef. Our whole party was fishing for actual beef pieces and could barely find any. Patches of Singapore noodles were burnt, but the dish itself was not really warm so it definitely wasn't fresh. And overall the food just didn't taste great. Everything was too sweet. A friend didn't notice he was eating paper with the bun.the buns taste as good as steamed paper. Disaster of a place.
Food is on average good.
Rice pastry is not that tasty, I'm a bit disappointed with it. Other food are all good.
请不要尝试肠粉,如果你不想失望的话。
Was lovely many thanks, perhaps a bit slow and not watching their clients enough for prompt service, but great food.
