Hilton Adelaide reviews
71I was expecting a bit more from Hilton. I was not satisfied with my stay at the hotel. They need to update the interiors and other facilities.: (
I have been to the Hilton twice now for dinner at the main restaurant and for an event.
I have both times called up to explain I am Vegan in which I have received the response “yes we cater for vegans”
At the restaurant I was not allowed to choose my meal as there was no options on the menu
As for the 10 course event, I was able to eat a cold roll the size of my finger (no sauce because even that wasn’t vegan) and a falafel no bigger than a 50¢ coin. When I asked for more food I was turned down, and when I asked for a meal to be adjusted (fish and chips without the fish) I was also told no to.
$80 for not even 2 mouthfuls of food.
I recommend for vegans to not to waste their money here or for the Hilton to review their menus and service to different dietary requirements.
The Staff are extremely Polite? Friendly Professional and we're very helpful in awnsering any questions the room was clean and well presented the pool and gym facilities were nice the food quality is amazing the buffet breakfast is very good and enough to keep you filled for the whole day
Excellent place to stay. Very clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Staff were fantastic. There was 10 of us in our family with small kids and the staff were fantastic. The kids loved the pool, and the in-room breakfast service. It was a great novelty for them. Rooms were great size and plenty of room to move about even with a portable cot in the room. Great work Hilton Adelaide, we will be back.
Never even imagined, had to spend sleepless night in a five start hotel - because of the clogged air conditioning! Felt like din even bother about my suffering! Won’t recommend.
The staff were friendly. However, the room was super dated and you are really paying for the Hilton name. Our room only had one bathrobe which was odd for a couples room. The gym facilities are really good. Overall, better places to stay for the money.
Just went for a drink.
Guy behind the bar was a little rude. Didn't like 1st glass, think it was dirty? Broke the 2nd! 3rd seemed to satisfy.
$11 for a small glass of wine.
Service and people supernice.
Overpriced a bit room king superior was small and old not bath tub not fan in the toilette. Good for one night.
Price to high
Breakfast very expensive
Swimmingpool very cold heated at 25 they said there is not spa
Gym supergood nice are outside
Overall nice
Location good in the centre of Adelaide cbd noisy a bit ti be honest.
3 star for me price should be 100 /120 I believe not more than that.nice location
Pretty average for a 'known' Hotel. No WiFi in rooms! That's behind times. No fan for shower steam in bathroom?
The Hilton is always a good place to stay, central and convienent. It's a shame on this occasion the shower head was buggered and made more or a squirt rather than a spray.
Normally a full 5 stars.
This place has turned REAL BAD.
Ended up walking out after paying $225 was so disappointed.
- TV didn't work
- 24hr menu was only a $24 toasted sandwich after 10pm; get two each and there's half the value of your room
- Advertised dressing gown and slippers, was no where too be seen
- Advertised a bath is the delux room but got a tiny shower.
- Mini bar was empty besides 2 mini milks in the door.
- $50 deposit has still not even been refunded after 6 days, this was only meant to be a hold not removal ️
- Rooms are tiny and very out-dated.
Will never stay here again, have stayed in nicer for half the price in Adelaide.
- Turning the heater up does not even affect the temperature they have obvisously preset it too, was freezing.
Oh and breakfast just for 2 is $65 which is only what they are serving that morning, not free choice.
This Hotel uses covid as an excuse for alot including not providing necessities due to apparent restrictions but restaurants have been unaffected for awhile now but apparently only supplying a toasted sandwich on a 24hr menu is due to this & not having a free choice breakfast or having anything available in the bar fridge, no physical menu, pens, tissues or slippers Guests touch handles, switches, taps, knobs, control pads etc etc but you can't even supply things you advertise as included.
Hotel Rooms are meant to be cleaned thoroughly between all guests so I'm pretty sure offering a packet of chips and drink that go into the bin anyway wouldn't be included in any restrictions since your restaurant and bar were open for service earlier. Excuses; no accountability or resolutions! Money hungry.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The desk staff were efficient and friendly. Our room was quiet, comfortable and had a lovely view over Victoria Square.
We appreciated the late check out, so we could explore the Central Market.
Not to bad. Breakfast was a little let down. Check in was interesting. The bed was very comfy and I had a great view.
Very poor experience.room smelled mouldy
paid for a king delux, OMG no where near it.all bars closed at 11: 30 in a saturday night!
the TV's were not working in the whole hotel!
way too expensive for our one night syay $225
My family of 3 stayed at the Hilton for 5 nights - we had a room with double bed overlooking Victoria Street. The hotel is very strategically located and just 5 minutes walk or less to Coles supermarket, Central Market and China Town. The tram is just in front the hotel and if you like walking like us, the hotel is in a very convenient spot.
The hotel was clean. I understand many reviews may have said it needs a facelift and I don't deny that considering it is a 5* chain hotel and most chain hotels look newer and have modern interiors. That said, I would say the hotel is very well maintained, our room was clean and had all the basics that a hotel would provide.
Hotel staff are very efficient and helpful; customer service including room service was fantastic. We didn't want room service for two days as our rooms were clean and there was no need to get new towels everyday (save water and environment). We received a call from staff to check if we needed extra supplies and if there is anything we needed.
The hotel provides free Chrome cast facility and you can project your Netflix/Amazon Prime to the TV. Ours for some reason was not working one night and we were given 24 hours free access to their movie channels (which is otherwise charged)
Only downside is there isn't a complimentary parking for guests. That said the hotel has an agreement with UPark that's just 5 minutes to the hotel for 24 hours parking (in/out only once) at a $25 flat rate.
When we initially called to enquire on the facilities at the hotel, we were told the heated pool and spa facilities were available, which was what we wanted.
We arrived to be told it's operational and would be heated. It wasn't and every time we went to use it, it was cold, despite mentioning to staff and the duty manager.
The staff at the hotel were great, but the information we were told was incorrect and the money we spent was a waste, as the heated spa was our reason we chose to stay here. Also the room was cold, even with the heater on.
We experienced wonderful service at the Hilton hotel. Although we booked last minute, staff were very kind and helpful, even upgrading our room. The room was modern, comfortable and spacious. All you can eat breakfast was icing on the cake.
A great central location and lovely view.
I typically don’t write reviews unless it’s either extremely bad or great; this one was the latter. Before arriving I read a lot of posts complaining about the hotel/service so I wanted to add some comments because my experience was the complete opposite (people before seem extremely knit picky). I am staying at the Hilton Adelaide for 20 days total. Although I was not able to get upgraded to a suite (being a Diamond member), I have had an amazing stay.
CONs:
- No parking on site
- Almost everything was shut down (not the hotel’s fault - COVID-19)
PROs:
- Prime location - everything within walking distance
- Steak house/room service on-site was excellent
- Chill bar/lounge area in the lobby
- Extremely helpful staff
I saw dated rooms in pictures by mine was quite nice. The hotel is in a prime location in the Victoria Square which makes everything walkable. There is a bit of a walk to the parking garage but it is not bad since everything you may need is nearby.
Love this hotel. Plush rooms.
The lobby and bar is stunning and the proximity to the Central Markets and Victoria Square is perfect.
At the moment, there is a stunning Emma Hack exhibition going on as well. Awesomely gorgeous works of art well worth seeing.
