Hampstead Health Family Practice Medical Centre

Extremely horrible receptionist staff. My son was crying and unwell. They treated me and my son absolutely rude way possible! I only go here because of doctors. The staff and reception is just unprofessional!

Dr N Joshi has been my main G. P.for years now and I have found her to be consistently approachable, thorough and professional, even with the time pressure of short consults.

We visited the centre today for a doctor appointment that was scheduled for 13.20pm. We reached the centre around 13.10pm and we were told that as the earlier patient had not come, we would be next attended to.
At around 13.30pm we approached the reception and asked to how much more time it would take before we are seen by the doctor and was to that our file is open by the doctor and we would be called in a couple of minutes.
Till 13.45pm there was no update and when we approached the reception again, we were told that the doctor is/was having lunch.
We did get a bit frustrated and questioned as to why appointments are taken during doctor lunch hours and people are being to wait and false information is given. We were told that "its a medical centre and delays do happen. " We completely understand that, but not after being told that you are next, your file is open etc.and not to be seen by the doctor.
Eventually we did see the doctor, but for reasons best known to the centre, we were seen by another doctor (no issues with doctors at all).
We had some urgent tasks at 14.00pm and had we been told that its going to take time, we would have planned accordingly.
Request the reception staff to be more transparent in the future. We too have tasks that might be impossible to miss.

Reception and answering time is awful. Waited for 10 minutes to update a GP who referred a patient to me, and then the call was disconnected without anyone responding

Waited for an hour with my 18 month old daughter as they decided after waiting 20 minutes that the doctor didn’t want to see us due to my daughter having a fever which I already mentioned when booking the appointment. Was not rushed in with another doctor had to wait for them to be avaliable for a 2 minute appointment. Disgusting service.

What a great facility. We are in Adelaide on holiday and were able to get a same day appointment to see a doctor. Only waited 15 minutes after appointment time, saw doctor and nurse, got prescription and out within 30 minutes. All at no cost.

Dr Manoj George is the best GP we ever had. Dr Manoj is extremely knowledgeable and caring for his patients. He is very friendly and approachable. The entire Hampstead Clinic Team have always been helpful and supportive.

Waited 45 Minutes after booked time + 20 minutes before booking time. Still my Doctor couldn't be able to see me. CANCELED the appointment and came home with more PAIN.

Always found staff and the Doctors to be dedicated in their treatment of patients.
The Hampstead Health Family Practice has a list of Doctors who can speak different languages to cater for new Australians.
Sadly when dr's run late it's the patients that have to sit around and wait.
New hotdoc app is good, but, unfortunately it shows you as been attended when you are still waiting to go in to see the doctor.

They are professionals in their fields, Hampstead is really organised from the moment you make an appointment, All under the one roof you are looked after, Love you guys.

I waited over an hour past my appointment time.would have been courteous to let patients know that appointment times are running over an hr late! I have work too and a life! Please treat patients with more courtesy in future or discount my price. Thankyou. The specialist was really nice and thorough

I didnt want to write a bad review but after 5 times and counting they kept getting my name wrong each time round. Not sure what is so hard to get my name right on the system.

And had to wait 45 mins over allotted time. Absolutely appaling especially when you are not well

Appointment went for 2 mins. Dr didnt even ask for any of my past symptoms etc. I work in the medical field so I know this wasnt the full process.

Prefer my original dr but she only works at night which is an issue getting an appointment in

Had my appointment at 3pm, checked in at the reception at 2: 55pm, when I re enquire about my appointment at 3: 35pm, the receptionist told me that I didn't check in by the other receptionist.
This is not the first time. It happened to my son earlier too.
The persons working in the reception need to show more professionalism.

3 Receptionists are talking each other and left me waiting. After checked in waited to see doctor for more than 30 mins. Not happy at all.

I went for a specific reason and was told not enough time, make another appointment. Left dissatisfied.

Very covid conscious. Dr was pleasant and efficient. No nonsense approach. Short waiting time. I would recommend.

Pros:
- appointment can be scheduled on the same day within several hours
- long working hours including weekends
- very professional nurses, especially when giving jabs for babies and kids
Cons:
- waiting time is usually 20-40 min
- service quality is highly dependent on the doctor
- can prescribe antibiotics without proper investigation
- for non-routine procedures admin staff referred to a wrong doctor three times
If you do not raise your expectation too high, this clinic is a very good choice

Even though the place is usually busy reception and nursing staff cope well. Dr George is a legend. Very caring and thorough
