Gepetto's Hahndorf

Hilarious experience almost of Monty Pythonesque levels. Capped off by being driven out by a smoking pizza oven and fire alarms. I'm sure this is a great place which we hit on a bad night.

Poorly made aperol spritz in small wine glass. Another table had one in a much larger cocktail glass with mint garnish as promised. Pizza was great but special linguine carbonara was extremely salty and not edible. We advised waitress and nothing. We went to pay and advised another waitress and nothing. Restaurant was barely half full so no excuses about being busy. They do not care, no continuity and we were disappointed with our $90 meal.

Gepettos is found at 94 Mt Barker (Main St) Rd, Hahndorf. It is a traditional Italian Restruant offering pizza as well. The building is a German cottage with thick walls. So cool in summer. Table service can be indoor or outdoor. It is friendly clean and neat. Rear parking available.

Wow what a pleasure to find Gepettos. Can't believe we have never been before. Food, wine and service all fabulous. Can't wait to go again.

This place was amazing, friendly staff, I had the mussels in a wonderful broth, and baked mozzarella wrapped in proccuto, it was covid safe, and staff was very attentive and accommodating.
Definitely will come back probably today.

Wrost service waited 1 hour and a half for our mains.that never came. Owner didnt even apologise for our wait. Horrible.wouldn't recommend this place. 1 star is too much.
