Gepetto's Hahndorf

I have been to Gepettos in Hahndorf a few times now. The food is amazing and the staff can't do enough for. They are so welcoming and the owners are amazing such beautiful people. They make you feel very special. And then there's Jordan what a special man he is. He makes everyone smile he's a treasure. Gee if I was 15 years younger I would make a play for him. He's such a special person. And the music is great. Can't wait to go back real soon. If you haven't been there you must go you will come smiling. Keep the good work up you all are Amazing.

The best Italian restaurant in SA, hands down. Genuine and impeccable service. Shout out to Jack, and Jim Carey.

Go there for my birthday. Service is spectacular. Food is prefect, highly recommend the tiramisu.

Fabulous Italian in Hahndorf. Staff are very attentive and make you feel special.
The menu is classic italian and done beautifully.

Food was phenomenal. Staff extremely fun and welcoming. Service, otherworldly. Atmosphere was fun with live music and dancing. Even got a selfie with the staff.

Expensive and small dishes. Didn’t taste that delicious to match its price. Sorry but Wouldn’t come the second time.

Fantastic food, new management is excellent - hopefully it stays that way. Lovely, warm and authentic experience, which is difficult to find at many restaurants these days.

As with all great restaurants, Gepetto’s must keep their portion sizes generous and prices affordable to attract regular customers. The prices are slightly too high for regular dining for most people, but the food and services makes it worth it.

The food was very tasty but not exceptional. Music was a bit noisy and the heater wasn't working. Service was friendly but a bit odd. A great place if you just want Italian and the rest doesn't matter.

Simply put, a must-dine experience if you’re visiting Hahndorf. The service was impeccable and the food to die for. Loved the menu items, but the chef whipped up a ricotta gnocchi off the specials list that we’ll be talking about for years. Clearly some very talented souls in the kitchen!

Food was delicious. Sat outside but was warm thanks to the gas heaters. Was a nice experience and they were very accomadating for our dogs. Thankyou for a great evening

When we booked a table here for my Birthday I immediately got a good feeling as Jordan very kindly said he would not only reserve a table for 2 indoors but also outdoors as the weather was meant to be nice. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and I have to say, they made my evening a very enjoyable one. A truly memorable experience! Thank you.

I don't often write reviews but this place really deserves one. I was here this evening for dinner & the food & atmosphere were absolutely amazing. We sat outside at the front of the restaurant they had someone playing the piano & singing. People danced & the vibe was very much like what i have experienced in Italy. The waitstaff were brilliant, positive & really looked like they enjoyed their job. The food was delicious & very authentic tasting. I highly recommend this place & will definitely be back. A special shout out to Jordan who really created a fantastic atmosphere tonight.

Customer service 6/5. Been dining here twice so far. Definetly some of the best italian food I have had in my life. 100% worth the drive from the city. Restaurant and town super beautiful. Defo will come back!

We had such an amazing experience at Gepetto's!

The live music on a Saturday night was fantastic. The service was exceptional and the stand out dish of the evening was the Gnocchi Sorrentina.

I highly recommend Gepetto's if you have the opportunity.

Place is a peaceful spot in glorious Adelide Hahndorf, BUT food was amazing, had one of the best pizzas on par with my experience in Sicily. Ingredients were fresh and tasty and dough was fresh as well. Staff were very polite and friendly as well as great hospitality and good live music. Great waiters including Jack who was able to select the best Italian style beer.
So overall had a very good experience. An awesome place dine here and then definitely worth it. If you are in Handorf you should definitely check this place out.

Had the most amazing experience, celebrated my 21st birthday here with the family and the staff made the day so extra special, I have never experienced such a warm, friendly and fun environment in a restaurant before, not to mention the food was incredible, would recommend Gepetto’s 1000 times over to anyone, for all occasions! Will be heading here for all future family gatherings!

Place has changed hands and what a wonderful transformation!
The owner is warm, accommodating and knows her stuff. Jordan is delightful and they all create a terrific atmosphere. The young chef is very talented and very open in respect of feedback. Food is authentically Italian. A wonderful and needed addition to Hahndorf.

I supposed to drink a couple of beers there, however, I ended up dancing and enjoying an unique time with wonderful people. On Friday the 18th of March I went to Hahndorf to know more about the town with a group of friends. Walking through the town we hear Alex, the singer, and we decided to get in and enjoy the music having a chat and a couple of beers. One hour later we start dancing (as we only know because we are Colombians), and suddenly most of geppetto´s customers were on the same page. The owner Sven is a great man, his wife and Jordan (an amazing and unique man) are gonna give you the best of the restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff Jack & Naim were nice, giving us an excellent service. All the place looked spotless and the toilets were shiny and clean. If you go to Hahndorf this place is a must!
