Gepetto's Hahndorf

Gepettos is my home-from-home favourite place. They have an diverse & excellent menu which probably offers the best food available in the Adelaide Hills (the quality of their meat, for which they have a special local source, is fantastic. Their rare beef is a personal favourite.) So although they do offer pastas and pizzas, they mainly have a high-level and delicious à la carte offering. And then there is Mo and the rest of the team! Always make you feel like part of their family! Love it!

Got I got charged $9.99 for still water…. I spent $138 or so on lunch and still go charged for still water…. Is this a joke?

Pleasant experience, the lady who served us made no fuss and was happy to change the incorrect order placed by us. Friendly staff and classy interior. Had a fantastic birthday dinner.

For me, the taste of the food is most important and Gepetto's failed quite miserably. We had the seafood linguine, the lamb shanks and the eggplant parmigiana. Only the eggplant was any good, the lamb was gamy and flavourless and the seafood in the linguine was not fresh.

Service was nice and attentive, but we won't be coming back.

Absolutely stunning! Great atmosphere, fabulous staff and glorious food. Would highly recommend. Could not have dreamed of better service. We will be back!

From the moment you walk in, you know you are going to have a great time. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is warming and the food is absolutely sensational. Fresh - light - quality. We will be back!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. My meal arrived 10 minutes after the rest of the tables, after I enquired, without an apology. We couldn't get anyone to take a secondary drinks order. Eventually flagged down a waiter who took our order but then forgot. We had to chase up the drinks when they never arrived. Waitress gave us a dessert menu when drinks were delivered finally. We were ready to order dessert and coffees but no one returned to take our order. Quiet restaurant with many waiting staff. Some waiting staff appeared to be sitting with other customers rather than waiting tables. We were clearly not the priority.
Made complaint about the service when we had given up waiting and went to service counter to pay. Waitress told us our table was "so busy talking" she didn't want to interrupt. Essentially she blamed the customer for her poor customer service. We were dumbfounded. This resturant in my home town but I will not return.

A very welcoming atmosphere. Relaxed, friendly and attentive staff. Food was fantastic and creatively presented.

We thought the food was a bit bland and ordinary you pay top prices and you expect the best but this was far from it. That was across the table with different dishes, not just one person being fussy.

2 out of 4 meals we're very sub-standard. The oysters were very well below par, as a result were sent back. In fairness they were refunded. The pork belly was dry, the vegetables uncooked The overall dish lacked seasoning in particular salt, It was quite disappointing given the the first dish was a flop.
I don't mind paying good prices for food, but it must be on point, otherwise u may as well go to the pub across the road.
Having said that the waitress staff were very good, pleasant, friendly and very welcoming

From the time we arrived we thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the delightful restaurant. The service was courteous and friendly. The food was a treat for our tastebuds. The live music by Alex helped make the wonderful ambience of the night. Highly recommend anyone who is looking for a beaut experience eating out.

5 stars all round! Best pizza I've ever had in my life. Very accommodating staff. The live music by the singer/pianist takes the dining experience to another level.

We are very pleased with everything the place presented from food to atmosphere and everything in-between. We loved the live music it was very nostalgic, and Alex is very talented.

Fantastic meal and service Wed evening couldn't have been better. Calamari entree and 1/2mtr seafood platter.

Pizza was ok but nothing special. Il Mulino Pizzeria (located in the same street) is 10.000 times better.

Wow, wow and Wow - what an amazing restaurant.
From the atmosphere and ambiance, to the live music and friendly staff, the excellent service, and the incredible food - everything was so fresh and tasty. The meter long seafood platter is a must!
Thank you to Jack and all the staff for making our evening celebrations so memorable.
Can’t wait to return again from WA.

Great ambience and food! The entree was simply amazing and appealing but the mains were a bit off with seasoning!
Overall still a great place to dine in and enjoy!

Fantastic customer service! All the staff were incredibly caring. Tastiest drinks we have ever experienced. Naim in particular was so lovely and we cannot wait to come back again! We were blown away. 10/10. Charlie & Sam
