Fountain Valley Medical Centre

The low star rating is for a reason. Do not go here unless you want to deal with a rude admin team especially the old lady at the front desk who thinks she owns the place. You just have to read the numerous reviews to know how bad it actually is. I have been refused doctors appointments and bookings numerous times by the admin staff. I am being refused medical treatment at this clinic. I am being refused a conversation or the contact details of the practice manager. They do not listen. They are not understanding. They are not sympathetic. I don't know who shoved a stick so far up that old ladys arse but now everyone is suffering for it. The doctors are lovely but it honestly is not worth it unless they change the staff in admin to kind and compassionate people. Absolute bunch of donuts.

I've been going to fountain valley for years now, and I've seen a few doctors here and I've never had a problem, they are all kind and caring and I have always had nice service from the reception staff! Yeah you might wait a little, but just be patient.

Dr Garg is honestly the best doctor I've ever been to. She is so professional and friendly, nothing is ever too much and I've never felt like I've been rushed out of an appointment. Everyone I've recommended her to has also said the same.

Dr Pillai is the most caring Doctor I have ever encountered. He often runs late but that is because he cares about his patients! Highly recommend.

Worst clinic, They never saved my details and very rude staff in reception, OVHC - I won’t recommend anyone to go there, coz they will make you pay even if your insurance can cover it.

I have been attending this clinic for 8 years & have always found everyone to be excellent. I always try to attend with a smile & always receive one in return - even if I'm feeling yuk! I highly recomment this clinic & its wonderful staff. Remember, keep on smiling!

Can easily take 30 minutes just to answer the phone! I wound up driving there to make the appointment. Really poorly run.

Highly recommend Dr Garg and Dr Pillai! They are both very attentive and friendly. You feel that your issues are being listened to and they genuinely want to give the best medical advice/opinion possible. Clearly very knowledgeable in their specialities.

Just rang the surgery to query about some paperwork that wasn’t emailed to me. Because the call wasn’t answered after waiting for 20 minutes, the call was diverted to their booking line. The receptionist couldn’t help, diverted the call back to fountain valley medical center. When they finally answered they want to get rid of you ASAP. This practice is getting as slow as Centrelink. How about employing more reception staff. I am busy too & haven’t got endless amounts of time waiting on hold. LIFT YOUR GAME PEOPLES

I was a bit sceptical at first about the clinic because of the low rating here. However, Dr Castro has completely put my mind at ease with her exceptional patience and professionalism. She is the best doctor i ever seen. The receptionist is good everything is fine. Highly recommended!

Most of the doctors are fine, but usually run late. I have been here many many times and half the staff are nice, some are miserable and rude.
They bulk bill so I keep coming back. In this case you get what you pay for

Doctors are attentive but always having to wait more than 30 minutes after my appointment time. Had to wait 55 minutes for my turn which only lasted 5 minutes for a referral. I understand that Doctors may take more time for patient but if that's the case, then stop overbooking.

I see a good Dr at this practice but some of the reception staff are obnoxious - I'm a long-term client & I'm surprised they haven't worked out here that you won't have a viable practice if you speak to people like dirt - I've been a medical receptionist myself & frankly a bit of pride in your work would take little effort - people are not well, that's why they are here & snapping, snarling at them is disgusting & unprofessional. Maybe a bit of basic training or re-training is necessary if you want to improve your ratings. It must be really disappointing for the few good & caring Drs there to know that their patients are being treated like this, if they are wondering why patients won't come back - it's not rocket science it's basic humanity & kindness that's required.

Phones are working but you can face delays. The phone app will redirect you to web page for booking purposes. Phone consults are still active. By phoning the office face to face consults can be organised though. Seems to be working much better than a few months ago with Covid issues.

I'll give a 5 star just for Dr. Anurag Pillai at this clinic. Had so-so experiences with other docs. If you have an issue, highly recommend you contact Dr. Pillai for giving sane advice and treatment.

The doctors here have no care what so ever for their patients. I was basically able to prescribe myself with which ever birth control I wanted on two occasions with no research into my family history or having my blood pressure taken etc. My most recent telephone appointment was appalling with Dr Simon. I was attempting to get a sick certificate and was told no because it was too long after (5 days) the day I was sick and that I could call any other dr and they would also refuse. Had no intention of helping me or guiding me through any other options I could look at, instead he resulted to yelling at me and told me that I was insulting him by calling him “rude”. That was the last straw, I will never return to this centre.

Never go to this clinic if you have a serious condition. I have come back to edit this review after reading others and have to agree with what I read. I basically told the Dr I wanted a referral due to pain, and I wasn't even examined or questioned.

Have been going to this practice since around 2010, most doctors are really friendly and helpful and the receptionists are very polite and professional. Dr Christina Bolaton and Dr Camila Castro are my favourites due to their kindness and how thorough they are in their cases. You don’t feel like a number, but a human being here. Most of the doctors here won’t treat you like you’re crazy if you are in pain etc that has been occurring over a long period of time like other clinics would. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Due the arrogance of Dr. S, I want to let you know that my last Telehealth will become my last booking with Fountain Valley Medical Center. I am your loyal client since 2017

Wonderful Doctors, great skill mix so all care needs are met. We have always felt comfortable. You are never rushed which sometimes means appointment times run over into the next appointment of there is a problem. Better to sometimes have appointments later than expected and wait and know these drs will always take everything seriously than rush you out the door and on top the next person.
