Federal Hotel Restaurant

Just spent a night at Night Night Cap in the heart of Mount Gambier. Christine and Sean were very nice and welcoming. The cosy atmosphere made for a delightful stay. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and comfortable night!

Beautiful accomodation however would recommend eating elsewhere as we waited over an hour to receive any of our meals. Not even the kids meals came out.

The meals where very nice and service great Zoe looked after that nicely! Great place too eat and have a drink

Spent Valentines Day with my wife at the Federal Hotel. Staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the meals are incredible. We ate in the bistro three nights in a row and not a bad thing to say about the food. The seafood is fresh and perfectly cooked. If you visit Mount Gambier make sure to visit the Federal Hotel.

Visiting the Mount popped into the Federal Hotel and enjoyed our meal great job by Joel and Connor we will be back.

This pub had amazing food, we ate here tonight & ordered an entree a parmi & snitzel, everything came out super fast and was piping hot, the blonde lady (I didn’t get her name) was incredible, her service was above and beyond, super friendly, when I went to order our meals, we had another lady serve us with blue hair, we ordered the 2 snitzels (on snitzel night) which she didn’t make aware that the offer for snitzel night was only through the app. When I questioned the price difference after ordering and paying, she was not particularly helpful. The only reason we ordered snitzels was because it was snitzel night, it just would have been nice for her to let me know and I would have ordered through the app. Overall a really good food, I would 100% eat there again.

Excellent staff made our stay just that little bit more enjoyable. The hotel is on the main road but not at all noisy, the bed was super comfortable.

The food was amazing, staff were able to seat 13 of us in little notice.kids loved the playground.

Standard pub food.
Their kitchen closes early as it's in a smaller town compared to Adelaide.

Staff are excellent and very accommodating. Replaced orders without any fuss

I'm being held at gunpoint to give The Federal a 5 star review - but even this is a pleasure because Manuia is holding the gun. Thoroughly recommended.

Been coming to the Feddy for a couple of weeks now for the Quizzame competition that they run and it’s always good food and friendly staff. Zoe always is a bright and bubbly face when serving our food and drinks even when we are loud. Manu always makes sure our table is booked and ready for us every Thursday.

Have had Salt n Pepper Squid at many places both here interstate and overseas TODAYS was Comparible if not better Highly Recommend

Great food, especially ‘The Pretender burger’ (vegetarian). Highly recommend the DJ bingo on Thursday nights. Free to play, no knowledge of music required and heaps of prizes. Also some of the nicest bar staff you could find.

The beds were like sleeping in a big puffy beautifully scented cloud, best bed ever! The bathroom was extremely clean with good hairdryer. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would happily stay here again. Close to The Blue Lake and very easy location.

Service and food was great, and the beds very comfortable.
Poor television reception in room and wi-fi was very poor.

Great place to stay and centrally located. Meals very good and well priced. Staff very helpful and friendly. Well worth 5 stars.

Good and affordable place to stay. Close to all amenities. All necessary things provided. It will be good to have a microwave. It's was bit too open for any stranger to enter the rooms alleyway. The morning breakfast was not served on the day we wanted to eat. Bit disappointed. We were given discount coupons for the dining but can not use it as well.
