Discovery Parks - Streaky Bay Foreshore reviews
75Completely useless wifi that they know is rubbish but obviously don't care. Overpriced for very basic accommodation.
Loved this place, amenities awesome. Even a pizza oven to use at the camp kitchen. Awesome wifi provided. Great location, easy to get to everywhere and beach frontage as well. Nice walk to the jetty and back and to town centre as well.
Awful customer Service staff rude and unhelpful park average the only thing going for it is the beach. If you are up for great customer experience don’t go there!
We were there for 2 weeks in the off season so not so many people. It’s a G’day group park with great facilities, friendly staff and the foreshore villas are 30m from the shore. Beds were great and the villas quite well designed as far as this type of accommodation goes. There was little to criticise…. So we would recommend this highly!
Under construction for the games room and the pillow, but this was off season so should be awesome for kids on the on season book it.
Large park, friendly and helpful staff.
Good size blocks for caravanners.
One side of the park has mostly Caravans. The amenities are old but clean. The newer section of the Park has units with a few caravan spots. New amenities.
The location is right on the water front. The positioning of thispark is excellent. It is approx 1 km from the shops.
Once the older amenities are upgraded the rating will be 5 stars
Another great park in a little fishing village lot's to see and do in the area. Good amenities once again we had a drive through site and right next to very good clean amenities. Great xamp kitchen and lovely area with walks along the foreshore and into town.
Love staying here the location is beautiful. This place offers so many price options from budget cabins to deluxe cabins. Cleanliness 5/5 stars. Staff are all very kind and welcoming. Theres also a Takeaway shop on the premises. All the food there is pretty good. Theres also are a list of beautiful things to see and do there nearby. Great place for anyone who enjoys surfing.
Great park plenty of camp spots and lots of different cabins really appreciate the pet friendly cabins very comfortable right near the beach, staff were great and the food from the kiosk was fantastic really impressed would recommend
Family has been visiting Streaky for over fifty years and the place never ceases to amaze. Just love it. Once again we stayed in one of the "newish" foreshore cabins which was perfect. Well kept and clean. However the only small criticism we had was the shower in cabin 11 had a yellow mold buildup in the corner. Bit yucky! Needs to be cleaned. Otherwise all good.
Beautiful place but has a serious mouse plague going on here. Kitchen is full of mice actually disgusting, I could see a dead mouse banging around in the fan vent above the stove. I understand that its difficult to get rid of mice, but you's should at least let people know not to leave food unattended for any moment in the kitchen. I seen a mouse nibbling on a ladys plate of food she left on the counter next to me. I shooed it away but then I had to tell her about it, she was pretty upset as you could imagine.
Stayed 7 Nites after 2 complaind about lack of hot water in male amenities did not change for the remainder of our stay. Had to walk150 metres to other amenities. Bought fish and chips at kiosk was very ordinary.we were planninig to stay longer but decided not to.
Very disappointing at this park, travelling Eyre Peninsula, dearer than other parks for a powered site and that was with Gday rewards card
Dated amenities, staff not friendly at all
And the boom gate doesn't open for you if you havnt left by 10am.
Streaky Bay Foreshore is perfect for people with children because of the massive playground and the availability of game rooms. It also has a take away shop so you do not have to cook but if you do, they have a kitchen available for everyone to use. For people who love fishing, this is a great starting point because it is near some great spots and it also has quite a few gutting stations that are well-maintained. Kudos to the staff!
Took us in on Easter Sunday and made room for us when another local caravan park wouldn't. Proud to be a south Australian
On arrival there were about 20 flies inside the rooms. The room was also not very clean so we had to clean it ourselves. For $179 per night, it was not worth it. A good cleaner will see people come back, but not this time.
We stayed 2 nights on a waterfront site, beautiful sunrises & sunsets, lots of birdlife which annoys some people but we enjoyed handy to the gorgeous town of streaky bay
Right on the beach. Level site with easy access. Clean amenities. Restaurant on site. 20 min walk to centre of town. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend
Manage to keep a large park with high turnover in very good nick. Easy to deal with re changing booking considering they are just about fully booked through April. Direct access to the beach is gold
Great location. Easy walk to town.
Beach out front and good jetty fishing in town.
Kayak launching is easy but can be awkward at low tide.
It's a heart pumping drag back up the sand.
Would be great if they had a path to the high water mark.
The sites on the water can be a tiny bit sloping but I'd prefer to be there. You may need long service hoses, cables and pipe.
Our site was large enough for van, annexe, car and a boat.
I caught 2 large squid from the canoe and lots of nearly legal fish.
If you're anywhere nearby, put this place on your trip planner.
