Horrible customer service. Very rude to customers. Pointed at me then told me to get out of the way instead of asking nicely.

No wonder the chips are rated as the best in Adelaide. Was very busy but didn't have to wait long for my order

We bought a jumbo sized chips today and when we got home, we were given the ugly side of it as you can see on the photo. The old woman as well was not accomodating at all. Sadly, it was our first time going there because we heard it has the best chips in SA but definetly it would be our last. Not the best service and chips at all. Disappointing.

If they are cutting that potato with a machine, then they need a new machine, I don’t know how can they manage to get all that crispy end bits，and it’s greasy, tastes like they cooked them in butter.

Checked it out due to the hype of allegedly being the "best" chips. The chips were honestly some of the worst ive had. Oily, over salted.so disappointing.

Good food. Reasonably quick despite the amount of people. Incredibly busy, I’ve never seen so many people in a take away shop before. They have been awarded the best chips in SA but personally, I prefer the chips at my local chicken shop.

It's always good wish I didn't have to travel so far to get chips from use always been getting chips from use been getting them since I was a kid

One of the last 2 remaining in Adelaide been here many times and always loved there chips never been disappointed prices are fair for serving size highly recommended for anyone who goes nearby or if you want good quality chips they also have chicken packs and salad packs plus other hot and cold food

Saw online today that these were dated Australia’s best chips. Had to go down to try them and was disappointed. The chips were very oily, fatty and wasn’t a fan of the flavour of the seasoning

Made worse by the staff who served me was very rude for no reason at all. Went to Hungry Hen on the way home and was greeted with a smile and very friendly service

The only place for top chickens and Adelaide's best chips as well as the gravy. If you haven't been there you don't know what you are missing out on.

Been meaning to visit this shop for years. I've heard a lot of good comments that the food was good. Today I was passing so thought I'd grab a hot pack. There was about 8 people in the store so I checked out the menu.hot pack had a choice of roast spuds, chips or mash potato along with carrots, peas and gravy. I ordered a hot pack with roast potatoes and the lady said there would be a wait for the roast potatoes and I said no worries. More people arrived and others in the shop got their orders and left. I watched the staff member start preparing my hot pack. The wrong container must have been used because the peas and carrots were scrapped into another container and the chicken was added and the container then placed alongside the deep flyer. Several serves of chicken and chips were collected and my order was next in line. After waiting about 11 minutes for the roast spuds a scoop of chips was added to my orders along with a dollop of gravy and I was called. I asked if there was roast spuds or chips in the hot pack and was told chips. I explained that I had ordered spuds and was told if I wanted spuds I would have to wait until they were cooked. I explained I had been waiting as I had been told I would have to wait and I wasn't waiting any longer for the spuds to be cooked. I paid for the hot pack as it was with chips. 2 hrs20 minutes and 160km later I opened the hot pack. The chips had turned into mash potato due to the gravy on top. Roast spuds would have held their shape and made the meal enjoyable. Not overly impressed with the service or the food but my interest in the place is cured.

Went there yesterday for the first time in years cos we're not local, but wow I wish I was. The food was absolutely amazing the chips and chicken salt like I remember as a kid but more then that was the lovely people that served us and asked if we we're eating in or taking away. We had decided to stay there and eat and that's what made this place so good. They we're so friendly so helpful and brought our food out on plates, even asked if I wanted a cup for our soft drink. It was truly special and had that real make you feel welcome feel. Will go out of my way to get back there asap! Made my day.

What can I say, the best cooked chickens by far, moist, juicy never dry and the chips are just incredible, how? , I have eaten them for over 25 years, take a bow, other chicken shops should take notice, don't change

The only place to get your hot Chips from, that's if you want the freshest, bestest, potato cut chips in town?

Great food and u dont have to wait long for your meal its always hot and have easy access to car parking does get a little busy sometimes

Best chips I've ever had.
Some of the people who work there can be pretty rude though.
I asked about their website and they said "oh we have literally nothing to do with that". Ok why are you on the site then? At least they gave the information, but did it have to come with such a nasty attitude?

The best chips, absolutely love them. Staff are very friendly and items are priced well. I find ordering over the phone before hand helps so i dont have to wait in the queue for long when it is busy. We have been visiting them regularly. Keep it up.

This place has the BEST! THE VERY BEST chips EVER! Dare i say WORLD! Great place for a great feed! Oh the chicken is pretty damn good also:)
