Literally the best Hot Chips in Adelaide, if not the Country. Don't bother anywhere else if you're in the area, you will not find better!

$24.90 for a So called Extra Large Chicken. Over Priced and No Taste. Wont be going back. Chips wernt fresh either. Seemed they had been cooked and warmed up. Over rated Take away. Thanks Cosi South Aussie. NOT. We spent $ 50 and reckon KFC would of been better Value. Husta La Vista Chicken Chef. Wont be back.

Went to chicken chef from a friend's recommendation and can honestly say the chips were some of the worst I have ever had it was like they cooked them in oil that wasn't hot enough plus were pre cooked the day before and re fried them in the same cold oil. The chicken was over priced for what you got I could argue that a simple wollies chook is better the only thing that was ok were the mayo drenched salads.

Once again absolutely perfect it always is I come from the other side of town to get chicken and chips hopefully one day you will open one closer by me I live near Melrose Park

Came just because they were voted number 1 chips in Adelaide. Very disappointed. I’m not sure if I was unlucky and got all the chips off the bottom of the tray, as you can see most look like off cuts to discard. The few bigger chips were soggy, as you can see from the video. I ate them straight away so it’s not that they became soggy in the bag or something. I ended up throwing in the bin more than half of the bag.

I have to say, customer service was very good. Served by a 20 something male, he was very friendly.

Quite possibly the best hot chips in Adelaide, they are cut from fresh potatoes & you can taste the difference. They also have excellent fresh home made salads, plus hot chickens which are very good too. This is not a place that has fresh fish, as their focus is chicken, so if you do want fish and chips, your only real option is a fish cake. They have crumbed sausages, Chiko rolls, crumbed chicken wings, pineapple fritters and other options to go with your chips. There are a very limited number of tables and chairs if you want to eat in. This shop is also on Uber, etc if you prefer that. 5 stars.

Couldnt go past without calling in as the chips are the best. The chicken burgers are phenomenaland always hot.

I used to come to this place a few years back. Service and food has gone downhill on this place. 35mins wait on soggy chips and servers just coughing no mask on the food.

Staff were fantastic, service good, food not worth the money, chips nice and crunchy, but every chip left a taste of oil in your mouth, could not taste the salt, the chicken burger with the lot, I've had better at a church/ school fate, the only positive was the 600ml coke no sugar, if you love good friendly service this place is for you, if you love good food, then go elsewhere.

The best chips in SA. Not some frozen bought in chips, real home made style. No more needs to be said.

Quite disappointed in tonight’s food. Chips were soggy, oily and over salted. The pineapple fritter had an aftertaste of fish and the chicken was dry:/

Best chips in Adelaide. Ask for it well done if you like the extra crunch, takes a tad longer to cook but well with the wait. We prefer to ask for less salt coz regular salted calls for plenty of water later on. Seriously have cravings for the chips all the time and will drive 30min just to get them!

Wow Tasted their cooked chips and definitely Australia's best. Cannot fault the chips and will percent be back for more. Keep up your good reputation.

These guys have always had amazing quality every time! They were pretty busy since they were awarded the best chips in Australia but you should have seen how quickly and efficiently they hammer out orders

So we are in a pandemic and the state rules say to wear a mask so these guys just rock around wearing nothing serving food and business owners are the first to have a whinge when there's a lockdown

Disgusting service, called my order in, they told me it would be 10 minutes. Waited over half an hour, when I asked for my order, they hadn't even put it on!

They are dining out on their success and forgetting how they got their.
$13.90 for Jumbo chips is WAY more expensive than they used to be and no where near as many chips. (They used to always fill the white bag and add a few more in the outside brown bag. Not now). That overflowing bag was $9.90 not that long ago.
Been there 100's of times. Told everyone I know how good their chips are.
Really dissappointed.

I have been going to chicken chef for years they have outstanding food and the salads are to die for always fresh and yummie would highly recommend and staff always go out of there way to make you the customer are always happy and most of all the staff always have a smile on there face
