Restaurant Botanic garden Botanic Gardens Adelaide
Well where to begin… after an gentle 3 min walk in through the beautiful Morton bay fig lined botanic gardens…we arrived at Restaurant Botanic
What followed was nothing short of exceptional!
Chef Justin James is a gastronomic genius - from beginning to end, the next 4 hours and an incredible 13 courses was to put simply, extraordinary and the temperance drink pairing (non alcoholic) was just on a whole other level.
The entire experience was just mind blowing.
The deliberate thought process that has gone into every ingredient, every dish, every drink is sheer brilliance. Everything is made, cooked and brewed on-site with such a huge amount of love. I could give you a run down of every single mouthful but the review would be a novel by the time I got finished. All of it was extraordinary but that Marron…. Oh good lord!
I love the amalgamation of the all staff, everyone chips in. The waitress and waiters pulled tweezers out of their pockets to finish and refine dishes along side the chef which I don’t think you would see in too many restaurants. Each and every staff member was passionate and devoted to the cause.

We feel that Chef Justin, Restaurant Botanic and his amazing team deserve 2nd place on our list of favourites…just pushing Peter Gilmore (Quay Sydney) out of 2nd spot.
Congratulations on an Extraordinary restaurant. Do yourself a favour and put this restaurant on your bucket list!

I wrote this back in January when we visited and never got around to getting the review up…we’ve just been again today (24th July) and all we can say is this restaurant, under the meticulous hand of Chef James, is well on its way to being one of the top restaurant in Australia…bring on the world! DELICIOUS again!

Simply put: the best meal I've had in my life. The phenomenal presentation, fantastic atmosphere, absolutely outstanding service, DELICIOUS food - everything about this place is a home run. 10/10 dining perfection, felt like I was floating off a cloud in a dream as I left here. Every single dish that came out was amazing and presented with such care to detail, the hardest part was trying to figure out what I liked best - each course stood out uniquely on it's own, each bite was bliss. What they charge pales in comparison to what you get back, if you're in Adelaide - make reservations and GO. I will come back anytime I'm ever near Adelaide again.

Adelaide's new restaurant has definitely made its mark. I was beyond blown away by the quality of the food, the devotion of the staff to making every little detail perfect, and the uniqueness of their approach.
This is most definitely an experience & not just your regular dinner. Yes, the price is high end however you get what you pay for which is First Class Quality.

Food was really well thought out. Service was great however it took 30 mins to get our first drink despite being asked as soon as we sat down. We were there for 3.5hrs which was ok, anything over this time would have felt unnecessary. A great experience and I can see this only getting better.

What an amazing dining experience- food was out of this world and the service just perfect- made the 4 hour sit feel like only minutes! Fine dining done right and price totally justified - will be back again soon.

What a wonderful experience!

Credit to Justin James and the team at Restaurant Botanic.

A beautiful meal that was highly technique driven, matched with superb service!

It’s easy to see why Gourmet Traveller gave Restaurant Botanic the no. 1 title in SA.

Our experience was approximately 4 hours.

Do yourself a favour. Book. Spend money. Enjoy!

Found a chunk of bone in the supposedly de-boned quail.

Chef: Quail is animal and animal has bones. It’s unlike what you got from Coles shelf where breast is just breast and thigh is just thigh. We take pride for what we do and if you don’t want to pay your bill you can stand up and leave as you would like to.

It was in the middle of the meal. Manager offered us $100 off the total bill or free upgrade to a 7-course menu. We had to end our meal there because of the chef.

The incident happened a year ago and the chef’s response was still right in front of my eyes.

Thoroughly deserving of all five stars as the Long Trail was the best degustation I've ever experienced. Food and service were both amazing. I also highly recommend the 'Temperance' non-alcoholic beverage pairing.

This was our first visit since the rebranding/renovation and it didn't disappoint. It has a much more modern feel both in the decor and the dishes. It still uses the local produce but the flavours and presentation were very innovative.

Blown away with everything. Been fine dining all over the world and Australia hasn't impressed me for 15 years, was waiting for something like this!
Every dish is a suprise and the follow through in flavours is delicious. The interaction with the head chef Justin James and his staff felt so warm and intimate. We felt privileged to be present in this restaurant. Impressed with every dish. The staff vibe is very positive.

On a different level to ever other fine dining restaurant in SA, easily surpasses Penfolds, only Sol comes close. Easily the best experience, service, food, wine, and atmosphere of any restaurant in the state, bar none.

Another foodie gem for Adelaide. This is a top tier experience of flavours and textures. Orana and the Cube may be gone, and I would place this in the same company. Let's hope this stays for a while.
