Barossa Chateau reviews
67Excellent service, friendly staff & very interesting, worthwhile place to visit for a fabulous High tea. Enormous grounds & stunning collection of Antiques with Amazing Histories.
Went for a Scoupon experience of a yummy Devonshire Tea tour of the priceless antiques on display then an enjoyable platter lunch with wine great friendly service and were treated to 2 gifts each on leaving.
Such a shame the location was beautiful unfortunately food was awful very very small portions And pretty tasteless We were not served what had been presented at the tasting steak was very grisly venue was dirty accommodation had cockroaches in the rooms And had to have the Beds changed there was nobody on reception on Saturday night or Sunday morning to bring up our concerns too It was definitely not worth the money we feel we have been ripped off absolutely never going back
My wife and I went for a high tea in a quite spectacular area amongst glass cases of vintage crockery and ornaments that I have only seen in movies, the service was good and the Canapés were very nice. The tour was informative and interesting but the rose gardens won our day for sure.
My partner organised my surprise proposal with the owner and it was nothing short of amazing! The team went above and beyond to help him with the event and we are incredibly grateful for their hospitality and the kindness they showed. So happy to have such a beautiful place form part of an incredible life long memory!
I was taking by friend for high tea, I am afraid to say that the service was not good for high tea at table.
The tour was very good. Never be there before. Gardens beautiful roses. Beautiful drive way up to house. Gift shop wonderful so many things to buy. So all South Australia, s get up there before the Roses disappear.
What a wonderful, beautiful, place.
Excellent Devonshire tea, lightest scones ever.wine tasting, platter lunch, lovely staff and owner, huge gift shop, most beautiful rose garden, thousands of bushes, and on top of all that, the friendliest, quietest dogs.
Horrible food in small portions, not as advertised. In the middle of gift shop? No option for outdoor seating. Really disappointed. Not worth the money at all.
Absolutely lovely. Very nice guided tour, excellent Hi Tea. Friendly staff. Was a very pleasant experience. Would recommend.
Very elegant, delicious Devonshire coffee & scones & besides. 2 of our beautiful granddaughters work here!
.
4 of us for high tea and tour of the antiques. High tea was awesome and the staff were lovely. Thoroughly recommend it.
Absolutely superb. This was a gift from our daughter and we were blown away. We had the Devonshire tea and lunch platter. Everything was delicious and local produce. Can't recommend highly enough.
Really nice grounds, we had a nice coffee and scones to start. Nice to walk around after and look around. Then a wine tasting which there was a few really nice wines, but not all to my taste but that is just me. A lot of older aged wines including 1990's clean skins. About to sit down to a glass of wine and a nice looking platter. Well worth a look
What a lovely experience having High Tea and Tour. The best apricot jam we've ever tasted thanks to Dot's Recipe - they should sell the recipe. The Tour was very interesting as well. Served by 3 very caring ladies. Highly recommend.
Horrible service, food and atmosphere, situated in the middle of a gift shop?
This is the barossa it should be with a beautiful view or in a garden, not hidden away in a dusty cob Web riddled gift shop.
Please stay clear of this hell hole.
Very very overpriced. Do not recommend it.
Tea and coffee were okay, but high tea savouries and sweets were disappointing. Venue was nice on the outside, but not good the inside - we had tea on a entrance hall.
Gift in the end was absolutely not worth it, probably just old stock.
For 45$ this was extremely overpriced. Do not recommend it at all
It was a pity it was 42' and the roses were a bit ordinary. Could be nice if a professional team had the place.lunch meals ordinary, order scones
A total of 54 different varieties of roses from different countries are grown here, which is very beautiful.
Loved the high tea experience, even though I had coffee. Great gift shop and a walk back in time strolling through antique display
A beautifully presented, and tasty high tea and art gallery opening today for Di Mitchell. Will absolutely be back! - 10/11/19
