Barossa Chateau makes the best sparkling white wine I have ever tasted. I would take this over Mumm or Möet any day. And their Rosé is light and fresh and very refreshing. The high tea is beautiful and the gardens are beautiful with that fresh country air I miss. Highly recommend.

What a delightful place to share a birthday high tea. Lovely surroundings, beautiful food and amazing ambience. The people serving were just lovely. Gift shop amazing and classy.
It was just a day trip for us, but would be a great place to stay.

Highly recommend this experience for a special occasion! Thank you

The high tea was great and the building, art and antiques are really great. If you are visiting the Barossa make sure you stop in and have a look.

Visited Barossa Chateau for High Tea. The elegance of tableware was excellent. The savoury serve was good, I'm a bit picky eater but most of the selection I did enjoy. The sweet serve was very good, I would say excellent if the scones were not so tough and dry. I really can't complain tho. There was a choice of 2 non alcoholic beverages if the wine/champagne was not an option. Others enjoyed the choice of champagne/wine. Beautiful setting, building. The gift shop is wonderful, expensive though but good quality of goods sold. Highly recommend.

One of the first places we visited in the Barossa Valley. We hoped for a wine tasting, given its a winery.
We were greeted by a miserable soul, who's first words he uttered were 'do you have a booking'?
We actually thought he was joking as there wasn't anyone else there. We asked if it was possible to do a wine tasting, and he kept asking us to look at the art in the back rooms, and that there was a sale on for gift shop items.
We asked again, how we go about arranging a wine tasting. Again with the please look at our artworks.
Almost felt creepy!
We walked out and told everybody we met during the week, how bad the service was. Actually there was no service!

Good time had by all but when you go for hightea I really want to drink a cup of tea in bone China and brewed in a teapot on the table. But that's just me.

Lovely location, very friendly and helpful staff. Had high tea there. Lovely food and desserts. Glass of wine to start, water and lovely pot of earl grey tea.
Savoury food sandwiches with egg, chicken, cheese, and chutney. Quiche, arancini ball and something else in pastry case, cucumber with truffle oil. All very nice. Dessert was macaroon salted caramel, scone, lamington, chocolate coated profiterole, lemon sponge cake not quite sure, but it was all very delicious and filling.
Had a look around in the shop, beautiful gift ideas, paintings, cards, clothes, handbags, wine and the list goes on. Definitely worth the drive to have a look and something to eat.

Terrible customer service with little information on the wines we were tasting aside from a laminated sheet of paper.
We arrived for a wine tasting with high hopes having been to many in the barossa valley and having a wonderful time but unfortunately we were greeted with an air of annoyance at the fact that we were there at all!
We had to ask for a seat even though there was only one other couple in the whole place. After having wine slopped in our glass (same glass for red and white btw) and finding pieces of cork in the wine with no explanation on what we were drinking, we were served the last tasting and before we could even take a sip, the server was there with the eftpos machine. When enquiring about their wine tasting cost ($10pp) going towards buying a bottle of wine, I was told this is not the case. When checking with another server, we found out in fact this is the case but by then it was too late. We were done.
Very disappointed.

We were all very very saddened by the state of the rose garden it has just been let go, can see how magnificent it once was. The Chateau was closed as was a Tuesday as would have loved to have seen inside the museum and grabbed a coffee. Really hope that it can be brought back to it's original beauty.

Had a lovely day here. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend people to go and see the antiques before they are all sold. Special mention to Mark for his knowledge and passion for the collection.

Went for a Scoopon voucher Devonshire tea and platter lunch. Had a pleasant afternoon. The first shop gives us ladies something to have a look round after eating. There is also a large rose garden to wander around afterwards

The Barossa Chateau is a beautiful hidden gem of the Barossa. Its art collection is extremely unique so a tour of the Chateau is highly recommended. The staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable and the garden is stunning. The Chateau should really be considered an Art Museum and treated as such. It's a shame that not many people know about it. It deserves a lot more care and attention that it currently has.

Brilliant day out. Great from start to finish. Devonshire tea was very tasty, scones, dried apricot jam, whipped cream. Delicious The talk and tour by Mark was very informative. He certainly knows his stuff. The porcelain collection is world class. We can only hope it stays as a collection. All staff were friendly and efficient. The lunch platter was very tasty and plentiful. Thanks Mandy. We will return.
