Bakery on O'Connell reviews
76Absolutely satisfied after that visit! The satay pie was amazing, the Vienna Hot Chocolate was like velvet and the Van Gogh cupcake tasted as good as it looks. No wonder why they won best bakery in SA!
Large range of savoury item including pies, pasties, sausage rolls, kranskies and more. Some interesting special flavours in the pies and pasties. Large range of sweets, everything from finger buns through vanilla slice, New York cheese cake etc. Cold drinks plus coffee available. Extensive indoor and outdoor seating.
It was super busy, but they had enough staff to mooching everyone quickly. My salami foccachia was really good.
Good vegan options but I guarantee you would get a boat load more customers with a few more options! Great friendly service and always stocked up
Service was fast and friendly, but my kransky pastry was RAW! Biscoff donuts were nice, but closer attention needs to be paid to the hot foods: (
Huge variety to satisfy you sweet cravings.beautiful cakes n brownies.and the coffee was good tooo)
Very good products but marked it down bc there was no insistence on patrons using the Covid Tracing qr code. It's not hard to ask to see the check in.
Delicious vegan pies and baked goods.
Friendly staff, good prices.
Highly recommended.
Coffee is never the best, cakes are ok but so extreme.have to go back for savories because it's been a while but it's all pretty standard.
This bakery is by far one of the best things about Adelaide. It has been a staple of the drunken nights out as well as a great place to chill out with some friends.
They now even have a vegan menu for those of you who are vegan.
Always so busy, and for good reason! Coffee prepared perfectly, this time I had a lemon tart which was not as delicious as other ones I've had (Swedish Tarts or Bourke St. Bakery in Sydney for example). But the last time here I had a custard tart and it was incredible, likewise for the vanilla slice. Must return to try another sweet option.
Best pies ever. Been a lot of places and this has great friendly service. Coffee is always consistently awesome. Did i mention chicken mushroom and white wine pie is to die for.
Wow, what an amazing place! Open all the time and containing brilliant variety, from soup of the day to delicious smoothies to cakes and pies and all manner of other treats.
Been coming here for years, always great service and one of the most reliable bakeries in SA. Might not be my personal favourite, but I always know I’ll get great service, food and experience
I really like here! Staffs are really friendly and the breads are delicious;) I would like to go there as much as I can!
The best pie crusts we've possibly had in years. Nostalgic traditional bakery sweets that left us taking a box of treats to drive home to Melbourne. Staff are wonderful, patient and helpful. Service and food was too notch at both 10am and 1am.
Really like their cake selection. Unfortunately their coffee is a whole different story - one of the worst coffees I’ve had here in Adelaide. Stick to the cakes, if you don’t want it to go wrong:)
Just drove off from the bakery. Thumbs up for great and friendly service everytime. However, the Ferrero Rocher slice i just bought was dissapointing! Very salty and no sweetness at all. Maybe my expectations was too high. Keep up the good service guys.
Insane bakery! 24/7, fair prices, big donuts, stack of vegan stuff, promote vegan menu out front, have a huge selection of pastries, deserts and drinks. The owner is a nice dude, pop in at anytime for smoko break or a 3am bender. I've even have for breakfast and dinner.
My wife & I are regulars at this great bakery, we drive 15km to eat here. Never had a bad meal yet but was taken aback by their 10% public holiday surcharge on the Queens Birthday Monday. Why does this type of surcharge only exist in the food industry? If a book store in Norwood or clothes shop at Glenelg open on the same day their goods don't suddenly go up 10%. Thought the management of this great store was better than this considering its location on a major tourist strip.
