Always helpful staff, great selection of savoury and sweet treats. Definitely worth a visit Still my favorite Bakery in Adelaide. Totally delicious food every day!

Chicken parmi pie $6.50
10 bites and it was gone!
pastry wasn't too bad, a little on the dry side, well cooked though.had a pretty nice parmi sauce not too overpowering, something you'd get at the pub.got to the chicken with the second half of the pie.first half parmi sauce/second half chicken.could have been a bit more evenly spread throughout the pie.serving temp was good.not the worst parmi pie out there.

Delicious pies and sweets. I came here 3yrs ago as this bakery was listed as one of the best to serve a pie floater.i came back again today! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the food, the staff and the location.

This was my first time visiting here. Never knew bout it until today Tuesday. I thought it was well presented and staff were friendly and the atmosphere was just amazing and tidy place too sit out side and eat on a nice day. I'll be back again soon. Yes I'll give you 5 stars oh plus the food was amazing.

Service and food was great as usual, plenty of vegan options, coffee is usually great as well but due to the warm weather I thought I'd get an iced latte instead. What a mistake, came in a small latte glass, asked for a double shot and it tasted so watery I couldn't even finish it. I'll stick to hot coffees from now on.

A 24/7 bakery in Adelaide - can you believe it? We drop in to this amazing spot every time we're in town. The food and coffee are always excellent. Love it!

I have been there over 15 times in that 7 days! Almost tried all of their pies and each of these pie tasted absolutely delicious and so flavourful.
This is definitely a must try bakery for pie lovers.

Such a wide variety of baked goodies to choose from. From savory to sweet stuff, you will never go wrong and open 24 hours. My fave go to are the vegan chickpea pie, egg tart and cream puff.

We stayed for 3 nights at Adelaide Inn March 2021 and called in every morning for breakfast, coffee and cakes. Toastie’s amazing, always very busy and so much too chose from.

Consistently good bakery with lots of varieties of sweet and savoury items plus good take-home packs. Also open 24 hours which means it’s an excellent option if you’re looking for something late at night.

Reducing by one star because I find their system of serving to be a bit disorganised when its busy. It can get a bit overwhelming trying to work out what you want and then how to order.

Lots of options however taste was just ok. Coffee weak for my liking even with the extra shot.

O'Connell's Bakery has the best pastries in Adelaide & its open 24hrs so perfect for a midnight snack or early morning brekky. We are regulars to O'Connell's & the staff are friendly & will go the extra mile to make sure you get what you want. Can't fault this place!

Great place, great tucker, great for shift workers. BUT - one massive grizzle … has it ever occurred to those in charge to put the apple / apricot turnovers on separate trays & label them in big letters? Tired of getting “to go” turnovers & when we get home I have apple instead of apricot. Tonight we even asked the person behind the counter to make sure. What do I have? NOT apricot. Yes, I know, buy a kitchener bun, can’t confuse that one!

I am going all in and saying this is probably my favourite bakery. Not only is the choice excellent, but the staff are fantastic. They place is always busy, but there are plenty of staff and they are quick to serve.
Enjoyed my first ever O'Connell St breakfast there so much, went back that night for Soup and Crusty Toast for dinner.

I've never had a takeaway pie floater for dinner, but thanks to the open 24hours O'Connell bakery that dream became a reality. The pie floaters are great but the apple and custards tarts are not to be missed, make sure you leave room for one of these!
