Started the night at another venue for dinner, partner and I left early due to the disappointing meal. Headed home, saw that 1918 B&G was open. Went in, made to feel welcome. We were too late for dinner but finished the night with 2 desserts and 2 cocktails: Chocolate Decadence and Creme Brulie and a Vodka Martini and a Cheese Cake Cocktail. AWESOME. A great finish to a disappointing start to the night.

Great service! Great atmosphere! Amazing. A huge shout out to Amber! The best customer service I have had in a long time. We have a lot of kids and were understandably hesitant in bringing them a long to a fancy restaurant. But the staff (Amber) was fantastic an asset to 1918. They were very accommodating of a young family with a lot of kids. The food was devine, I had a medium rare Sirloin steak which was cook to perfection and my wife had the Kangaroo loin which was again cooked to percection. My children had fish and chips and spaghetti. The kids meals are reasonably priced at $14 each. The prices are high, but the service, atmosphere and food is definitely worth it! If you have a large family don't be deterred buy the elagent look, which is amazing and also serves for a good night out and date night option. Looking forward to going back again soon!

Very welcoming hospitality. The food was well presented and very delicious. We were drawn to the restaurant due to Bombe Alaska being on the dessert menu and it didn’t disappoint.

Very friendly staff and service. A very welcoming and relaxing place. Unfortunately the quality of food did not match. The thai green curry was under seasoned. The ocean trout was over cooked and dry as paper. The paella was like stir fried basmati or rice with green peas, dry and without sauce. And be warned of the whooping 15% surcharge, which no one told you about until it was pay time. Overall a disappointing food experience

Had lunch on the weekend of the Gourmet festival, and was looking forward to it, but sadly disappointed, my steak came rare, a family with young children placed at the table behind me with a pusher at the back of my seat. It was very hard to have a conversation as the noise level, thought I was at Mc Donald's. Guess what, won't be back!

Fantastic atmosphere and brilliant food. Try the Blind mystery wine and explore something new. Deserves its great reputation.

Had the tasting menu (degustation) 1st course came out and then they completely forgot about us, eventually realising and bringing us the next 3 courses after an hour and a half 10 minutes apart, place was busy so im willing to forgive this, mistakes happen but the food will need to be perfect, the star dish (pork chop) was served on a bed of cold mash and beans. Absolutely let down by our experience here tbh

We ordered 1kg Tomahawk steak for two and we enjoyed a lot. It was juicy and tender, went well with horseradish. The restaurant was cozy and staff was nice and friendly. We are so happy that we chose the restaurant for the first dinner in Barossa Valley.

Excellent outdoor environment, friendly knowledgeable staff who displayed an excitement and passion. Had the tomahawk and beans as a side. One of the best steaks and the beans were a highlight as well. Would return and highly recommend to anyone who enjoys good food.

Excellent venue. Food wonderful. Super open fire.
Congenial atmosphere. Great service. Only complaint was the delay in taking orders after being seated.
Dined there many years ago. Won't wait so long to return.

Everything we ordered was amazing. Highly recommend the lamb for two. The staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was warm and cozy with an open fire. They even have a kids menu. Very happy we chose 1918 for dinner.

Great ambience, great service, great food. While the menu is not huge, it's still for everyone, I say it's a case of quality not quantity. Has to be on the top of the go to restaurants in the Barossa.

Great location and ambiance inside. Meal portion size was generous, well presented however wasn't memorable with regards to taste. If ordering an aged wine, would be nice to be asked if you'd like it decanted. Staff were otherwise friendly and efficient. May go back if the menu was different.

A must for celiacs in Barossa. Beautiful meal and staff. Great fresh food and chefs obviously trying to serve a great meal. Worth the price and large servings.

OVER PRICED SMALL SERVES OUT OF PLACE FOR THE BARROSSA AREA.
Today I took my wife out for a belated Valentines day date at 1918 food was very good way overpriced the drinks a long wait for food.
The waiter kept on coming to our table trying upsell drinks coffee and sweets very annoying for an up market restaurant when we were trying to have quiet time together.
To quote Gordon Ramsey remember why people come your restaurant because they are hungry they want a feed.
If they walk out after spending over $120 for a lunch hungry they won't be back and will tell everyone.
It a nice place but serving very small high costs deceiving menu sweet potato is not a water mess on the plate and 3 fries covered with some leaves isn't a serve of polenta fries.

Quality dining and great service but it is reflected in the price. I do think being in a fantastic wine area the prices for some of the local wines could be cheaper.

Beautiful house come restaurant. Our group had a semi private room. Our waiter was professional and efficient. Orders were taken smoothly and delivered with precision. The food was amazing. Tastes from every angle! Freshness galore and beautifully presented. Prices complimented the dishes and our group of 15 left happy. Thank you for another fine barossa dining experience.
