The Big Rig reviews
68We were shown the Big Rig & explained how it work. We were then taken in to the light show which was manly a video with different things happening with the various items in front of the the screen. It was well done
Very Good Will be Fantastic when when Construction work on Rig and Tree top walk is Completed
We did the Night show. It was extremely well presented and informative. The taste test of the 'Fkg Good Port' ($20) was a bonus. Grab your bottle from the info centre at Roma. Fabulous time, very interesting, fantastic special effects and presentation. Put this place on your to do list!
Lady was very helpful with the information we needed to see what tourist attractions were available in and around Roma
Not the most scintillating place I've been. Lots of information but tied with lots of mining company propaganda.most of the touristy rubbish in the shop is made in China.
It was interesting to learn about the oil and gas exploration in the area. The Big Rig information was well set out, although we did find the overlapping recorded information a little annoying.
And interesting hour tour learning about gas and oil extraction. Tour guide was informative and entertaining.
We did 2 tours; afternoon and evening. Both were well presented and enjoyable. An interesting piece of Australian history and a glimpse of possible future energy options.
Great insight into the discovery of oil around Roma while drilling for water for the hospital.
Excellent audio visual points of the history and development of oil and gas discovery along with the myriad of equipment used to do so.
The night show is extremely expensive for what it is. It's just a 40 minute YouTube video. I do not recommend at all.
We missed the night tour as they are only certain nights during the week but the activities for the kids was fun.
Very friendly staff members. Unguided tour anytime within opening hours. But guided tour at 2pm everyday. We were too early and had plan so missed guided tour which we eventually thought would be best rather than unguided one.
A lot hisotry talk about oil mining and many things related to it.
A must see if you're travelling through Roma, a bit of history and culture, they're always planning and hosting fun events for families and Bec's Chopping block makes it a great place to stop and get a coffee and breakfast/lunch
A nice self guided tour to learn about the discovery of gas in the Roma area. There are a number of information boards, which were educational. Not knowing about the troubles and set backs faced by those early geologists and drillers we sure learned a lot.
This is a not to be missed experience when visiting Roma. Thankyou Thallon for the very informative tour and sharing so many special memories during our Big Rig tour.
Was a great pit stop on our journey from sunny coast to carnavon gorge. Free bbqs and picnic tables for use, car parking was easy, lots of room for those who are towing.toilets nearby and lots of birdlife to look out for. Information centre was extremely helpful
Helpful, friendly staff at the visitor centre. Lovely cafe attached. A nice park and BBQ area. Plenty of parking for big rigs.
Very informative tourism venue, very clean and well organised. Staff were very helpful and is a credit to Roma
Great place to stop in and get some information on Roma & surrounds. Beautiful park with a playground and a lagoon nearby makes it a great place to take the kids. Night show is a great source of information on the history of Roma via a colourful display & video.
