PLAYTIME Chermside

Not being made of money, PLAYTIME definitely isn't the place for me. It's primarily marketed towards children, with games such as Crossy Road and Rabids VR being present. It offers small variety for regular players such as a plethora of fair claw machines, 4 Wangan machines and one DDR A machine running A20.
I noticed that the DDR machine is much more difficult than others, with getting in the danger zone resulting to your overall score go to a 0. It's much easier to fail and has probably not been touched with by the employees to make this more marketable to younger players.
Employees are fine, but feel disconnected from the industry they're working in. Thanks to the amount of work they have to handle I wouldn't blame their stresses and tiredness getting to them.
Overall, PLAYTIME and Kingpin are great for families, friends and parties. They have everything from bowling to escape rooms. If you're looking to have a fun afternoon or night out, and don't mind paying for it, PLAYTIME is for you.

It's such a great place to take the kids & I don't need any convincing to go either. Awesome atmosphere, selection of games & I know my daughter loves the concept of playing games to actually be able to get rewards for the points she earns from playing the games. Highly recommend.

Staff are really friendly, games are expensive and the claws are rigged, especially the big ticket grabber, if you grab more than 1 ticket circle it drops them all, played the same machine in Melbourne crown casino playtime and it was much stronger and had a higher ticket value, all the high ticket values are down the bottom and mainly hundreds on top. The wizard of Oz coin pusher they open it up and empty it out so there is not much on top to win. The E claws are weak and just drop all the toys even if you get a perfect grip.

Great place to be a child again. The games are fun and easy to win points. Just be careful there are some games that are addictive You can spend hours playing the games, bowling or even the escape rooms. Let yourself go and have fun like a child.

Awesome place for any occasion! Loads of cool new games with a handful of 'retro' games thrown into the mix.
The escape rooms are an awesome experience as well! Have tried two different themes, they change occasionally to offer more variety.
Staff are always friendly and helpful.

The girl manager or girl in charge is definitely NOT friendly.like she is intimidated by other women. I won’t be booking a party here anytime soon.

Great venue for children's parties. Laser tag and karaoke avalible aswell. Friendly staff and high tech bowling facilities.

Lots of fun! Great chance to go bowling and even duck downstairs to the arcade after. Definitely one of the better bowling alleys in Brisbane. Great for kids, couples or a bunch of friends! And since it is brand new it is fresh and modern with its design. Definitely insta worthy.

My son just attended a party there and due to the time the staff took to set up, the bowling started late. Near the end the staff said they had to stop after nine frames due to having another party booked. Thought that was very poor service from Kingpin.

An excellent place to go bowling or do lots of other activities. Massive arcade game centre, private function rooms, good food and drink. Well worth a visit. Easiest to get into from the top parking level of Chermside shops.

Good staff, classy environment and fun atmosphere. Only downside is at times there are drunk 17/18 year olds there acting like morons

Bowling was great loved how you could download an app to control the music that played. The food was massive I ordered a child's meal and struggled to eat it. I loved how you could also order drinks and food at The lane too.

Staff were wonderful and playful and made us feel welcome. Minor hickup with a food order but when advised they bent over backwards to fix it.

So much time wasted waiting for the 2 of 5 card machines that were working. Wifi kept dropping out and games didn't work. Allows you to tap on then goes red and takes your money. Really disappointing. Won't be in a hurry to go back

I love Kingpin. With bowling, pool tables, lazer tag, karoake, a bar and food. This is an all round winner for any night out, especially with the arcade downstairs. The food is fantastic and so is the service. Parking is right outside as well so no need to walk very far either!

Excellent place for a night out for bowling. With a huge selection of arcade machines and escape rooms downstairs and a cinema in the center. It's hard to find a better place to take friends or go on a fun date night

The kids had an excellent time and ruled at Laser Tag. Plenty of options for other activities as well

Everything is great about this place; food and drinks, the bowling, the atmosphere. Everything. But it is a bit pricey.

What a great place, a nice easy way to ease some tension and frustration on the games, they have 3 pool tables upstairs; they aren't perfect, but they are pretty good for the establishment. The majority of games downstairs is quite diverse for all members of the family. And the food on site albeit some things might be a little pricey, they are of fantastic quality!
