PLAYTIME Chermside

Had a lovely time here today, only one or two games weren't working, the staff were all lovely, and there was a good variety.

We wish they were checking for vaccinations at the entrances though, as it's such a high touch environment we worry that it was too much risk.

This is the best kingpin we've been to! Such an amazing array of games so you can easily be there for an hour. Awesome deals for the more money you pay. Just buy in bulk and you get extra games! Staff are all friendly and fun as well! Go early in the morning and there's less people?

The atmosphere at kingpin is fantastic. Lots of room to move never feel cramped. Unfortunately, the time it takes to get food and drink it not good previously we went to just have a drink before going to dinner and it took 45 minutes for a beer and a cocktail. This week, 4 of bowling, we ordered a cocktail when we started and didn't get it until frame 8.

We went for a mid morning bowl. The system faulted several times messing up our scores. We weren't playing for sheep stations but they probably could have restarted that game or offered a refund. The music was also blaring which made it hard to even talk to each other.

Was able to organize a last minute 16th year old birthday party under general booking with bowling and laser tag games for 8 teenagers. Came with a free 30 minute game of table tennis. No outside food allowed but the Ferrero Roche pizza nicely substituted for a birthday cake. Booked online then sent out invites via text. All came together with no hitches and kids had a great time. Also loved the $10 arcade voucher for every food purchase over $30 in a single transaction which made the price of food and drinks easier to swallow.

Had my son's birthday here and the staff were great, took care of everything and were very professional. Thanks kingpin.

The Halloween event was amazing! The cocktails were amazing. I loved the service and costume from Zac!

From my kingpin Chermside experience, I've found this place to be endless hours of fun!
It's not just the arcade games, bowling or laser tag, it's also the amazing staff. I met a manger named Franco who felt more like a friend then some staff member. The vibes of the people and atmosphere is incomparable and I recommend it to anybody!

Booked karaoke but was disappointed. You could only have the lyrics on screen with the background track of the original song, no originals vocals therefore, all you could hear was your own voice (not great if you do karaoke for fun not because you have a good voice). There was a jukebox setting that played the original song with vocals but this option didn’t give you any lyrics on screen to sing to. This was different to other karaoke venues we have been to in the past. We thought the option to order food and drink via an app sounded good and there was a great range but it was annoying having someone coming in and out of the room, much prefer karaoke places that are BYO and their prices are also expensive. Also the whole front entrance to the room is glass so people can see into the room. We did express to staff it wasn’t what we expected and wanted to do 2 hours instead of 3 and they let use the money towards food and drink.

Nathan, Bronte and Indi were all absolutely amazing! So attentive, nothing was too difficult. We had 2 seperate parties on the same day and honestly all the kids had the best time ever!

First time there, it was ok, I didn't like the idea that you have to order your drinks through the app, and the female toilets were disgusting.

Love this place. Reviewed this place before and it hasn't changed in how great it is. Always improving the layout of the place however sometimes get lost. One of the games didn't my prize so found a staff member and helped me out and got me the prize. Always love coming here.

Spent $50 at the affiliated company TimeZone on a card, which loaded the card with $70.we were told it’s no issue to use it at KingPin.so we left the Gold Coast with $60 on our TimeZone card because we were too tired to spend the rest of the money.knowing there was a KingPin closer to where we were staying on our vacation.we arrived at the KingPin arcade to find out our card in fact did NOT work here.management claimed there was nothing they could do to fix the issue.we fly home from holidays tomorrow back to Tasmania where neither of these arcades exist and the only solution provided to us was to “use them next time you visit” - 12M expiry.considering the way travel is at the moment we may not be able to make it back here within the next 12M.completely unacceptable and a complete waste of $50.never felt so ripped off before. 0/10 won’t be going back EVER again.

Did bowling on my birthday, was served by wonderful staff on the night of Oct 4 2021. Amazing staff and amazing service! Was a bit nervous about the prices as they are higher then the average bowling Alley but with the outstanding service and state of facilities it is more then worth it! Will definitely be returning!

Also side note they have the best salted caramel espresso Martini I have ever had!

The food was of high quality and for those with small stomachs you can doggies bag and take home your unfinished meal home!

My son had a get together with friends today and whilst we couldn’t book a “birthday party” for him, he could still a game of bowling, laser tag, followed by lunch at our reserved table. From when I made these bookings, a few weeks prior, to today, I couldn’t fault the staff, especially Dan. He was attentive, accommodating and very helpful. As with all the staff, nothing seemed to be a problem. This was also noted when staff interacted with other patrons. Thank- you Dan and the rest of the team for making our son’s birthday an enjoyable one.

The lovely man Dan was so wonderful, kind and very sweet. He showed us what to do with grace, we really appreciate his lovely attitude even with all of the people around being loud. Very much appreciated, all of the staff are all so lovely and high energy, so much love for you all ️

I didn't actually spend any time in PLAYTIME Chermside so I can't comment on the facilities or prices. I did however catch a glimpse of a beautiful moment between this man and these two young girls who I sincerely hope are his daughters. Joyful moments of human connectedness such as these are exactly what our beloved shopping malls are all about.

Next time I'm in Brisbane I will absolutely be visiting PLAYTIME Chermside, and after reading their website, I'll be sure to, "taste the lunacy at the Café, we have freakshakes, ice creams, hot dogs etc, all the guilty pleasures to complete a perfect arcade sesh. "
