Algester Medical Centre - Bulk Billing Doctors Brisbane Southside

ALGESTER MEDICAL (and it's sister clinic ACADIA RIDGE FAMILY CENTRE) is the truly the MOST EFFICIENT, ORGANISED AND PROFESSIONAL bulkbilling medical clinic I ever been to across two States (NSW and QLD)!

I am especially satisfied with thr work of its receptionist DIANE, who has never missed a beat with regards to my paperwork, appointments and other related issues. Her help together with the expert help of its practice manager Jessica makes an illness better by reducing even eliminating undue frustration that might occur over paperwork and reports whatnot.

Its a great bulk billing practice but waiting time is terrible- average waiting time is 45 minutes.

First appointment waited over half an hour before hearing anything. Would have changed doctors after the first appointment but I had referals. Dr Rashika did not seem to care about what I had to say, saying my condition wont stop me from doing particular things. Seemed rushed.

Arrived 10 minutes early after travelling 1.5 hrs to visit. Told to wait outside on a 34 degree Brisbane day. Waited 25 minutes till after appointment and still waiting without any cause or concerns from staff. Left without seeing doctor. Off to find a practice that cares for patients.

Terrible. Arrived to my appointment on time and I had to wait 30 min to be seen. I had my little girl with me and we were never told the appointment would take this long to wait. Lack of respect.

Although I have a great doctor, I am very displeased with the Asian receptionist on duty during October 27,2020 at around 1PM!
This person is by far the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered!
Apart from her lack of people skills, she seems to have double standard in treating patrons. She appears to be more well mannered with Australian locals. Where the patron is non-local, her manner is beyond reprehensible!
The fact that receptionists are the face of a medical practice such as this one, I feel that she should treat all patrons with respect!
My comments are based entirely on my opinion of how this person treated me during my appointment.
I have great experience with other receptionists of this clinic. The majority of the negative comments on this clinic directly relates to this person. The clinic’s management should do something about this!

Highly stupid and mannerless staff at reception they don’t know how to behave patiently with patients. Poor performance

Need good doctors who can even examine and worth payable
Dr Laila abbasy checked nothing as if everything was normal in my body and did not close the door while consult
Very bad experience paid to just see the doctor

They open at 7: 30am but I can't call to make an appointment at 7: 45am because they "are now closed"? Why is their after hours message still on at 7: 45am?

All our family members are fans of this Medical Center. It has been an entirely 5 star services provided from booking throughout seeing doctor and getting vaccines from the nurse. Mrs. Diane is the most helpful and kind receptionist I've ever met. Dr. Laila Abbassy is looking after my whole family for many years and she is so professional and reliable. Lin, the most beautiful nurse girl is my kids' favorite! She is so talented and incredibly gets vaccines done just in a sec! She always reminds us and provides the related information about what vaccines each of us needs. She cares about every patient and look after them genuinely. I highly recommend Algester Medical Center to all of you! You will be looked after very well. ️

Great bulk billing practice. I used to be a local and now have moved to another suburb but I still travel here for appointments!

My family and I have been going to this practice since I was pregnant with my first child (who is now 7).
I can not recommended this practice highly enough! All the staff are amazing! And we dont just have 'one' doctor as i trust every doctor in this practice and they are all just amazing!

Very poor service, go elsewhere, anywhere but there. Rude, not understanding of your medical history, situation or condition.
You will get better service from a vet!

Just called to make an appointment for my father and his wife and Diana the receptionist was so helpful and kind.

Communication from front desk to doctors is very poor, they just want to fill up as many appointments as possible and get you out the door.

Yesterday I was rung to ask to come in early for my appointment with Dr Ho at 4.50 pm. I said I was unable to due to being at work. I arrived for my appointment at 4.53 pm. Dr Ho immediately got angry with me for being late. He then said I should of booked a double appointment due to my complicated health issues and that I was going to make him even more late now. I told him I was only here to follow up my MRI results. He told me that they are not back from the hospital yet. He went on treating me in a very rude manner (I had to hold back my tears). In the end he said “I will mark your file not to see Dr Ho again”. I said that is fine by me. Then he had the audacity to say it has been a pleasure on my way out. It was definitely not my pleasure! I will never, even if I am dying, set foot in a room with him again: (

Dr Badrul is by far the best doctor I've ever had. He takes the time to listen and is respectful and caring to problems. I have done and will continue to recommend this surgery and Dr Badrul.

I have been a patient of Dr Coven Ho since 2003. In the sixteen years since then, I have been treated with care and respect at all times.
Dr Ho knows my medical history so well and has always advised and treated me in the way I expect to be treated. He is a knowledgeable, caring, effective and thorough doctor, with a wicked sense of humour. Someone I feel I can talk to with ease. I hope he can remain my general practitioner for many years to come. Thank you Dr Ho.

Been reading the reviews on here and I don’t know. I honestly didn’t have any of the issues like, bad receptionist, bad doctors experience. Came in about 3 weeks ago. I pre-read the reviews because, when you’re looking for a GP you ought to read reviews right? Well wait time I thought it was better then the other surgery In Sunnybank on Turton st, where I’d waited like 1 hour +. Got what I needed, can’t complain.

This morning I was disappointed in the lack of compassion I received from the receptionist. I have been a long-time patient so shocked by the lack of service this morning.

My one-year-old fell and hit his head I rushed him to the clinic due to the size of the welt on his head and was told no doctor in until 9 but could wait an hour until he started. No offer to see the nurse or help she was very rude and had an attitude because it wasn't "her problem" I guess.

Went to the clinic down the road and they were lovely and understanding and we were seen straight away by the nurse until the doctor was done with his consult (3minute wait). Good to know there are still good people in this world.

Very disappointed, maybe there should have some staff training and process to implement around these types of situations especially when it comes to babies and children.
