We don't visit Darwin without stopping by the Cavenagh Hotel for a meal. Great food and service every time!

Food was disgusting over cooked over priced couldn't finish it as it was the worst food i've had for awhile.

The local lady from the reception (joyjoy) is rather unfriendly and harsh in her communication.the others are lovely and helpful. NO RECYCELING BINS AVAILABLE - can be improved.stained carpets in the room.very nice live music every evening - great atmosphere!

Comfy spacious rooms fairly clean at a great price.located in the city with lots of ways to explore the city. 2H parking was intense and there are no lifts to top floors.best to stay out exploring all day then to come home parking is free after 5 or next door at a daily price.great food and atmosphere deep in the city of Darwin

Good value steaks. Busy for a weeknight. Families, singles and groups. Parking a bit harder than usual, easy by Sydney standards.

Stayed in a 4 bed dorm/room (2 bunk beds) and it was very dated, rooms need a bit of upgrading and a good clean! I also found several bugs in the room! The bathroom is decent, shower curtain doesn't reach the whole way though so the floor ends up soaking!
The internal rooms only have a sky light but it doesn't give much light to the room at all. I enjoyed the pool a lot, the bar area & the atmosphere. Rooms have a fridge, iron, hairdryer & airer which is helpful. There is also a laundry & communal kitchen.
The location is good as its very central but not noisy. I would stay here again but only if I booked a private room.

The best staff in the world, cater to their guests, been all over the world and these staff are 5*. Just make you feel welcome

Central location. Budget prices. Clean linen and good mattress. Full size fridge. Only about 5 guest car parks. Stained carpet. Too short shower curtain means water goes everywhere. Small bugs in bathroom and on desk.

Clean and tidy, services it purpose. The pool is in viewing distance from outside bar area. The meals are good, excellent variety a little pricey.

Pretty busy pub, good selection of beers on tap, had steaks and a fish, steaks were food for pub grub, fish was crumbed, didn't understand why you wouldn't do a grilled fish when you are on the ocean

Every time we go to Darwin we always eat here. Food is great, good wine selection available, prices very realistic.

My place of choice when I fly in for work good simple rooms that are affordable and the best food in Darwin will always come back

Great location great food great pool.all in all great spot.and accommodation price is great for value.

Great staff, good rooms, great food, always full of people, and we cant forget the pool parties.

4 star cause we just missed out on happy hour. Nice beer garden and $10 taco Tuesday was good value

Friendly, helpful staff. Fabulous food. Lovely pool. Location was great. Pricing was excellent. Rooms were clean. Live music each night. Noisy at night due to the outdoor bar, however if you find it a problem take ear plugs. I am in my late 50s and my husband early 60s and we will definitely stay again when back in ghe NT

Great beer and entertainment, steaks a a speciality. Good friendly service and a great outdoor area.

What a happening place entertainment the best, music one or 2 singers acoustic great vibe, food the best.rooms are around pool standard, big fridge air con staff are all mainly backpackers doing a great job, joy joy at reception is impeccable and the best restaurant guy is a ledgend as well, singing noise till about 10 pm but when on holidays that’s great will stay anytime thanks cav!

Recently had to cancel booking due to the short notice Covid lockdown. Thought that the payment was gone as the terms were quite clear. Asked the question of The Cav. They were friendly and quick with their communication and supportive of the current position faced by stuck travellers. Thanks Ziggy. 5 Stars for The Cav and their team for their great customer service and the kind support given in these times. Sorry can't rate any of the property as can only dream of being in the wonderful Territory.
