Territory Manor Motel & Caravan Park

I’m sure as a motel this place is great. However we stayed in a powered campsite and the place was practically empty. Reception wasn’t open and had to call to get information. Didn’t see one staff member the whole stay. Sent a text asking for WiFi password and got no response. Toilet facilities for the campground are big metal trailers with no air flow, if it was 35 degrees outside you can imagine how hot it got inside those things! They were absolutely crawling with spiders and mosquitoes inside. Restaurant and bar were closed for a private function. I don’t feel I got value for money with this campground, however as a motel with air conditioned rooms and en-suite I’m sure it would’ve been a different story.

Wonderful place to stay. They say it's the home of the barramundi feeding. They should change it to the home of the roosting peacocks. Every evening the peacocks gather on the lawns in front of the bar and you can watch them all go into one tree to roost for the night. Should make it the home of peacock feeding. Comfy rooms. Good bar and restaurant. Well priced.

The perfect way to break up our drive from Darwin to Alice springs. This place does three stars really well. Comfy bed. Clean cool rooms. Smart tv. Easy food and drinks at the bar. And the birds! It’s a great place to stay!

Beautiful surroundings with lovely trees, peacocks and Brolgas wandering around, and a terrific beer garden. It's just a shame that with a little additional maintenance, this could be a very nice place to stay. In general, the motel rooms and facilities (e.g. Camp kitchen) are dirty and run down, with minimum effort paid to maintenance. If you're ok with putting up with roughing it a little more than normal, this is a good place to stay.

Rustic touch in rooms so they stay cool in hot temperature. Peacocks and nice old trees connects you with your roots fast.

This is a fabulous caravan park with great ammenities & a very relaxed atmosphere. We make a point of staying here.

Fabulous place to stay. Their "rammed earth" motel style rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, as well as being quite cool. The restaurant and bar is great, and they have some really great live music during the season, which we really enjoyed. Conveniently located just off the highway and just a few minutes drive down to Bitter Springs.

Dusty and run down. Reception opens 11am. (September) No dump point if you are in a caravan. As well the Roper Council has shut down the only dump point within 32km. Best to move on.

Great park to stay at, highly recommend it.
It's a short trip to the thermal pools for a swim which is good.
When we were there, they had an awesome band playing at night and the food was beautiful as well.
They've also got a nice Bacon and Egg Muffin for breakfast which is a better version of a Macca's McMuffin.

Great place to stay. Good value for money very clean park. Close to everything you need in the area

Superb caravan park. Shady, lovely sites, good ablutions, fantastic managers/owners.
Bonus of being able to book and be assured a site, unlike the opposition down the road. Very difficult when travelling long distances.
Real bonus when unable to book elsewhere

I went with a group of students and parents from Sydney and had such a great time. The food, rooms and pool were great and the staff was very kind. I highly recommend going to the Territory Manor Motel and Caravan Park.

Room very basic, but the warmth and effort by the lady in charge and her staff made it one of the best stays of our trip.

Staff (lady) are extremely nice which is a plus, but don't have high expectations if you want a nice meal. We ordered - Rump steak, Lamb shank, Wings, Lamb cutlets - All the meat was way over cooked.some parts were like we had beef/lamb bubblegum, the "cook" has trouble cooking more than 1 meal at a time.can't even cook a steak so basic *face palms*. The sauces were so watered down and runny they had no flavour, food was definitely not worth the price that they are charging for it. Beds were not great but didn't expect anything good as it was not our first time.

Great atmosphere, very quiet, stylish rammed earth room with all the basics we needed for an overnight stay. The food at the cafe was tasty, staff were friendly and the garden surrounds were lush and beautiful.

People talk about the desert oasis.

Territory Manor is a desert paradise. The owners are fantastic to chat to extremely friendly and just so welcoming. The food is second to none. We came through form VIC and stayed one night with the intention to stay in Katherine. Got to Katherine the next day and almost immediately decided to go back to Mataranka to stay st Territory Manor again.

Absolutely gorgeous and by far a highlight of our holiday.

We booked a dog friendly room and to be honest didn't even want our dog to stay in it. The owner was rude when we made comment regarding how dirty it was he said that if we were just going to slate him on the internet then we can leave now! After having spent a long day driving on the Central Arnhem road we were extremely tired and couldn't go anywhere else because they were all booked up or wouldn't take a dog. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Helpful and kind owners and staff. I forgot my charger and they found it and got it back to me. Exceptionally clean rooms that are really well supplied with milo, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Only had dinner here but wished we camped here, lots more grass and entertainment. Chicken wings were awesome. Not far to the springs either.

We stayed her for 2/3 nights in the ‘motel’. Facilities okay, bathroom out of date and very dirty. Woman at front desk wearing the headphones rude and dismissive, on not one but multiple occasions. More reviews on wikicamps. Love country music was really good and great atmosphere otherwise.
