Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel reviews
73After breaking down on a stinking hot week visiting the area and waiting over night for a spare tyres we treated ourselves to a couple of nights here. We walked in coverd in dust and dirt and the staff treated us amazingly they even gave us a room near the tail end so we could wash our gear with a hose. It was a blissful stay even if the old croc is getting a bit old in the tooth. Thanks again to the kind staff.
Just really disappointed as soon as i walked in. My first time visit and hopefully never again. Put the request for an early check in and now waiting till 2 pm to have my room ready.
My friends have already checked in although they did not put theough any request.
Not professional at all.
A tale of two halves. Staff were generally polite and helpful and the food was good. The communal areas are generally clean and modern.
On the other hand the rooms were worn, dated and grubby. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, damaged sockets, stained furniture and spider webs in the windows.
Accomodation satisfactory, buffet style meals all very nice, pool welcome in the tropic heat, no rubber mat for overhead shower in bathtub, sprinkler system came on at 10.30pm at night as about to go to sleep, close to doors.
Nice place. Accommodation was included in the trip package. We had a room at the back near the tennis court. It was away from the central action and the noisy people so I got to sit for ages listening to all the birds in the surrounding trees and gardens. Wonderful!
Amazing ambience!
The aussie Kakadu experience enhanced by wonderful staff, food and
Iloved the themed billabong pool and surrounds.
Room so clean and freshly themed bedding service.
It was very expensive for an old fashion dump. They could've spent the immense profit in updating the facilities. The fridge couldn't cool properly. The kettle didn't work. The room was dirty and dusty. No sofa. Could've died in the shower. There's so many things wrong. Including no cutlery. PATHETIC. I can't believe I gave it one star. Better off sleeping with the crocs.
Good sized room, comfy beds, bathroom was tired and needs some investment to update. Chef's Special was delicious. Gateway to many Kakadu attractions.
Very Kind Staff Easy To Like Rooms Clean ANd Inviting. Even A Piano In The Foyer 1st Floor Where I could Practice To The Delight Of The Manager Who Invited Us To Have Dinner As A Gift for Entertaining The Hotel - That Was A Blessing In Disguise!
Nice place I would say. Crew are nice. Food are nice on our stay. Tho the pond is not much paid attention. The plants are grown too much. The pool is nice, its just a normal size place so you won't get lost. And its a shape of a crocodile. I wish I brought my drone to get a proper look, birds eye view. My partner had a feast on buffet breakfast haha. Love it when he eats a lot.
Unique design of building, nice but facilities are a bit old, eg shower over bath with separate hot cold taps and pull up button to divert water to shower. Good location within Kakadu National Park, which is a must see.
Awesome to breathe in fresh air.no polution! Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Friendly, helpul staff. Comfortable, peaceful solitude. So nice to be able to sit and soak up the serenity and sunshine.
We had a very comfortable room in the iconic Crocodile Mercure.
The buffet meals were great and the special price for Accor members on the wine was much appreciated. Although it was our first visit to this hotel we were made to feel like old friends.
