Mercure Darwin Airport Resort reviews
75When I moved to darwin some months back I had to get a room for the first night and decided to go with mercure and glad I did reasonable rate, the room I had was very clean and inviting with my own personal balcony, very sound proof room so u can get some piece and nice hot showers, friendly staff so all round pretty nice experience
Lovely reception and pool area. Rooms very average but nice bed. Not the quality I expected from Mercure.
Pet friendly rooms available! Beautiful place and clean through out. Meals are not the best disappointed with my lunch today. Staff are very helpful. Pool is great.
We only stayed half a day. Our place was very late night. It was a lovely place to spend an afternoon. The unit we were in had an enormous bathroom being for disabled people. Bathroom as big as the room. You wouldn’t be able to use wheelchair in bedroom I wouldn’t have thought. Very small.
Fabulous pool. Great location near airport for first it last nights.
Booked here for 2 separate stays during my 2 week trip around the NT for work. Would not stay again. Reception staff seemed confused by everything I said and requested a credit card from me despite my workplace having made the booking. Was also promised that i could leave luggage with them while I flew to Groote eyelandt but they acted completely baffled when I asked for it back afterwards. Restaurant staff did not offer to bill to my room. Was not told about free unlimited wifi for members (which I am).
Room and ensuite were very dated and when I dropped something under the bed, i moved it to find that it had clearly never been vacuumed. Gross.
The food at the restaurant was the only saving grace but don't bother with breakfast unless you at happy paying through the nose. Close to airport but not worth it!
Great service, clean rooms great pool, excellent garden. No airport noise. Shuttle bus to mall and airport. Limited public buses access. Great food terrible coffee.
Very comfortable and extremely convenient place to stay for an overnight stop over in Darwin. The free shuttle bus is available on call.
This a nice hotel/resort, walking distance from the Darwin Airport. The pool is definitely the high-light and accordingly I spent any down time in it. The rooms are basic, but clean and air-conditioned. Highly recommended for short or lengthy stays.
Such an amazing experience at mecure hotel. Ned has exceptional customer service going above and beyond. Will definitely be staying here again.
Restaurant service at breakfast was slack and rude. Tiles in restaurant are chipped. Breakfast cereal strewn all over. Big chunks of watermelon and just not nicely cut. No apple juice in container. Felt like its going downhill as i stay there often.
Room cleaning also slack. Only make bed but not much else.
Very good hotel in the north near the airport, great pool and good sized rooms. Bar menu is lacking in variety so if you have a longer stay could be a problem.
Fantastic! The staff was great. The room was great.the food was delicious and the pool was a godsend. Will definitely stay there again.
Loved this place very clean nice room staff friendly brekkie nice, pool is awsome and also the joint facilities next door great thing. And the friendly possum outside.one small compliant is needs a fan on the balcony will be back
One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I stayed for an extended period of time for work. We were treated like an inconvenience, the food was practically inedible for most of the meals and the rooms were covered in timber sap leakage and black mold on the roof and walls. Would highly recommend seeking alternate acccomodation despite proximity to the airport
EDIT: All issues were reported to the hotel immediately and no action was taken. The chef, Bastian, made the best effort with the food but if he was not actually working it was quite poor. As for the rooms, an example is i had to complain 4 times in 8 days that my room was covered in mould and only on complaint 5 was it looked at and cleaned so poorly the room was still highly unsanitary. All issues were reported numerous times by all guests but we could not get the staff to act on our complaints.
