Rooms are dated, first room aircon not working. Staff helpful and moved us rooms, luckily not very heavily booked. Rates are ridiculous for the standard of room, $259/night and are not worth that.

Stayed for 7 nights on my own and they put me in room next to Laundry and opposite Cleaners room. Very noisy with both above issues till late at night and then again early morning. Very basic and not resort-like, plus it was a disabled room and I’m able-bodied, had cracks in toilet seat and hideous shower curtains and water went everywhere. The restaurant meal was very poor standard and we were left disappointed with the? Lobster Bisque Soup and they forgot the chicken in my Cheeky Chicken Caesar Salad and when reminded came out with dry and cold pieces of white breast of chicken. To top it off, paid for the 7 nights before departure to then fly out back home and found out they slugged my credit card with an extra $181.33 “surcharge for using Bookings.com”. Woeful experience and this really spoilt my weeks holiday in Darwin and will not ever stay there again.

The room was next to the Laundry room which was noisy until late night and noisy again next morning with cleaners.
This was recommended by the manager on duty strangely.
Have just read a similar complaint last week?

We stayed on the first day of lockdown in Darwin and paid $429 for a cabin. The room is very outdated and over priced.
I called to say how unhappy we were as clearly we had to stay in the cabin and couldn't use any of the facilities that were included in the price.
The manager arranged for us the have a free meal that night, when it arrived we were very disappointed. The food was from the pool side bar and was awful.

We really appreciated being able to get a pet friendly bungalow. We were there 2 weeks with our dog on arrival in Darwin. The staff were most welcoming of us and our dog. Highly recommended if you need per friendly accommodation in Darwin.

Stayed here 1 night 18/6/21. Only room available was room 556, far away from reception where I had to walk outside in the dark without lights or aircon. I asked could I leave a bag of jumpers there as it is v hot in Darwin & I came from winter in QLD. They assured me they would look after my bag. I even phoned the next day to double- check my bag was safe. When I came back on 24/6/21 to collect my bag I was informed my bag had been deposed of. They could not find it. I would not have left my belongings there had I known they would be so careless.

First time in Darwin and would highly recommend this place.

Staff were friendly and patient and the rooms were old but clean and adequate.

Are at the resort a few times and had a positive experience every time, compliments to the chef and the kitchen hands

Already booked in for next year

We are staying here for one night at the tail of a 17day trip to NT before we fly home to SA. We intended having a quiet and relaxing day around the pool. Unfortunately there was a kids pool party with a group of maybe 15 loud, screeching kids, who completely took over the entire pool area. Jumping off rocks, splashing, and more screeching. No consideration for other guests sitting around the pool, by either parents or kids. No staff monitoring the activities going on. The hotel should not allow this, have some consideration for your other guests who are staying here! Food also delivered was not what the menu said. Very lacklustre crab and pork salads. No peanuts and no coriander, as stated on the menu. Disappointed Accor members.

Good rooms. Great pool and outside bar area serving food. Sadly, One staff member on reception was unhelpful and a bit snappy when we asked questions

The food was bad. The bacon I ordered was raw and the “big fella breakfast” is not worth $25. The rooms are poor and the breakfast is terrible. The scrambled eggs were cold, and there was barely any food on the plate. Please don’t eat here if you want a good, filling breakfast

The staff at check inn where lovely, helpful and friendly, the gardens and pool area lovely and well kept.
My partner and I stayed in a Superior Spa Room. The bed was (no nicer way to say other then S*#T.) hard no give, so uncomfortable old and cheap. The lounge is the same over used, the room is large and a good size and air-condition is great BUT all the furniture in the room NEEDS replacing.its chipboard and most of it broken or rundown. If they replace all the furniture and get a new mattress I would be happy to stay again. (the spa was great too) but the hand basin has lots of water damage and needs replacement.

Our air con wasn’t working when we checked in the first night so we were upgraded free of charge by the Mercure to the Novotel! Very happy!

Great place, we've spent the day prior or flight to Singapore at the Darwin mercure and it's been worth every cent.
The swimming pool is gorgeous, breakfast is good and well assorted.
Room is fine, only the bathroom seems a bit old, still I would confirm the five stars all in all.
Friendly staff and clean rooms.

I was visiting friends who stayed there. I had access only to the pool and bar. The pool was fabulous with different points of interest. The bar was fabulous and prices were as expected for an international venue.

Very ordinary! When you arrive at 1.30am & your fridge is turned off, you ask for a late checkout of 12pm to get some sleep & the water will be turned off at 10.30am for maintenance? Room is very old & just a room, bathroom old with mould on the ceiling & hot water tap falling off.would be ok if you didn't have to pay top dollar for it for a few hrs. Price over rated for quality of the room.

We checked in late on Wednesday 17 April and were offered an "Upgrade" from the room we had booked to a bungalow. Great we thought, but actually not so great. There was mould in the bathroom, the carpet was threadbare in places and there was no cold water or milk for a cup of tea. The whole bungalow was quite shabby inside and out. The breakfast buffet did not impress either. The scrambled eggs were dried out the bacon was soggy and the rest did not inspire an appetite. The whole facility seems tired and out of date. We did complain when we checked out and were told the bungalow we were placed in was not one of the better ones - really! If they know that why hasn't it been upgraded or closed. We found a fabulous hotel on Darwin Waterfront for the same price which was 200% better and catching a the taxi to the airport instead of a free ride the short distance to the airport was well worth it. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone nor will we ever stay there again. Not worth any stars at all but I had to tick one in order to write the review. Ann & Rob
