Be aware of staying at the Banyan Tree Bachelor. I booked these guys through B.com & have been trying to resolve my problem with them. My booking was from 18/7 - 21/7 $665 They have refused to compromise at all. No full or partial refund or credit voucher. I live in Victoria & I am in total lockdown. I cannot physically leave my state. When I first rang them, I spoke to the patronising ‘Johno’ who kept calling me ‘darling’ through out the conversation. I explained my situation & he very quickly turned very nasty, swearing at me & then hung up on me. Any further attempts to contact them were totally ignored. B.com were supposedly trying to contact them too but Banyan Tree were refusing their calls too. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are many reviews on TripAdvisor with similar issues. Johno swearing & physically threatening people. Apparently the music from the bar is super loud. A guy asked them to turn it off at 3am & Johno told him where to go He crashed some guests’ gathering, drank their beer then abused them. He’s going to ban people from Sydney & Melbourne because they’re ‘stuck up’ no refund/no credit voucher. Avoid this place at all costs Their lack of empathy for people in lockdown is disgraceful. Shame on you

Possibly the greatest place I have ever stayed. The vibe was hectic (amazing), there was live music, the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and just down right legends. And quite frankly, I cannot wait to back an dance around the Banyan tree!
Facilities were clean & well maintained, great space for any kids to run around, and a bar for the over 18's. Thanks for having us:)

An official at the Litchfield National Park camping ground gave us a brochure for this place and told us it was really good. I wondered why they didn't mention any of the other caravan parks in the area and whether they got a commission for the referral.
We found the owners in the pub/restaurant. They announced happy hour was in progress and we should park our vans and immediately come up to enjoy it. When I checked the menu in their bar, I noticed a $50 steak and $26 pizza. There weren't too many other choices. These are extremely high prices, even by NT standards.
Obviously if we started drinking, we would not have been able to cook as the day was quickly transitioning to night.
We searched for a camp kitchen but there was none. Just an open air area right away from everything with no lighting and what looked like a wood bbq.
I came to the conclusion that this paddock was converted to a camp ground to attract extra people to their overpriced bar.
The grounds were not well kept, our powered site was the rough and basic.
The pool was small and compared to the picture in their brochure.
There was no lighting and the shower facilities were poorly lit.
I felt we had been duped into staying there.

Great park. Super shady and quiet, owner was friendly and helpful. Few schooners at happy hour 5-6pm and entertainment too! Dog loved it, the kids loved the pool and the free range cow and goats etc. Dad liked the pub and we all loved the 24hr shady site which meant the little kids slept late each morning. WINNING!

Banyan Tree is a top spot, book ahead for this one to make sure you get amongst the shade, happy hour 5 till 6. If you want to know am or pm, you have a problem. $35/site $25 seniors, close to Litchfield NP. Layed back atmosphere, great hosts.

The real deal! Great experience with Johnno and the whole fabulous team, miles from anywhere.so don’t expect Melbourne as some seem to.but that’s the real charm - wildlife, horses and hens - this is a real Territory holiday! Thanks loved it!

The sraff were so rude. The boss was fully drunk and he couldn't control himself to treat or talk to people nicely. Not recommended to families with kids.

Locals were very welcoming, had advice on what to do in the area. Later offered live music and an amazing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend staying here for at least a night when passing through!

Stayed at their cabin for 1 night while visiting Litchfield Park. The stay was absolutely lovely. The employees are super friendly and make you feel very welcome. The accommodation was clean and cosy. The area was well maintained and there were cute chicken, horses and goats wandering around. The bar served the best pizza I've had in NT, the burger was nice as well and beer was ice cold. You can eat under the huge banyan tree, which makes the experience pretty magical and picturesque. Nothing but good words to say about this place, would definitely recommend!

Beautiful shady large caravan sites, clean amenities, the office includes a licensed bar with draught beer and great food and very friendly down to earth staff. Currently renovating the food and bar area and when it is finished this place will be a knockout. Maybe the price of 25 bucks a night will change but at that current price you have to go there and its only minutes drive fron Litchfield National Park. Ripper.
