Great relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, picturesque grounds... We will come back and stay longer

This little place is a hidden gem that we came across unexpectedly and had wished we had more time to stay on for an extra few nights. It had lush grounds, and tall trees providing shady lots, very quaint and clean amenities, plus a little farm vibe with horses, chooks and sheep roaming the grounds. The reception, cafe and bar area had a great vibe and we were lucky enough to enjoy some live entertainment on night we stayed. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend as a great spot to set up camp for a few nights while being able to exploring the wonders of Litchfield National Park.

Stayed in a cabin for two nights. Very clean comfortable relaxing. Limited menu for dinner but everything very tasty. Wonderful place for happy hour. A great place to use as a base camp when exploring Litchfield. Recommended.

Could have been 5 star as The park is beautiful - lovely shady spots and great welcome when you arrive.
BUT Just make sure you don't visit the bar outside of happy hour - I've never paid $10 for a 4x gold stubby even at a 5 star hotel. Was unfortunate as we would have had a couple and come back for happy hour - but on principal we left the next day and didn't spend another cent.

This is a disgusting pub. They have photos of topless woman behind the kitchen door. Got asked if i would like to show my puppies. Absolutely disgusting.

Filthy rude attitude, abusive and happy to keep your $$$ when you CAN'T get interstate due to COVID RESTRICTIONS! ! !
Without providing a service and refuses to rebook.
Took 4 calls and left messages to finally ring us back for absolutely no help and hangs up.
Will NEVER stay or recommend this joint.
For the clients who are yet to be reimbursed don't worry we will be retrieving everyone's $$$ outstanding.
This will be most pleasant.
Stay tuned! ! ! !

For the non camping set, who have no option but to rough it to a degree, this is a more than acceptable compromise when attempting to establish a reasonably comfortable base camp, for day outings to the many fascinating points of interest in Kakadu. With roomy, hard floor tents, 2 swimming pools, and a bar with eatery, and clean amenity blocks, this outback camping establishment has most of the creature comforts we city dwellers will accept as minimum requirements

Rude staff abused me and my partner. Told to “get out” within 10 minutes for our dog being off lead, no opportunity to even get the lead. Threatened and abused quote “it’s not like Melbourne here mate”. Your experience probably largely depends on whether the caretaker has been using or not.common courtesy of course.

I would like to reiterate the comments of numerous other reviewers about this resort's shameful refund/credit policy for bookings that had to be cancelled because of Covid-19 travel restrictions. I advised booking.com and the resort more than two weeks before our scheduled stay that we would have to cancel because of the Sydney lockdown. They have not replied to my emails and messages through booking.com. No-one picks up the phone.

Great time- live music, happy hour and great pizza were the highlight. Beautiful views at sunset. Only downfall was the amenities but otherwise loved my time here and will be back again!

Don’t stay here very rude people! We cancelled a month before our stay due to being in COVID lockdown in Sydney, they refused to offer a refund or credit and didn’t want to know about it, We had booked about 12 other places on our road trip and all of them have refunded in full no problem. Sad that there’s such greedy nasty people in the world.

This park was one of the highlights of our trip to the Top End. Beautiful trees, green grass and good amenities. Live music and a great happy hour at the bar under the Banyan Tree.
All this is a short drive to the beautiful Litchfiels National Park and all the sights there.

While I understand and appreciate the difficult circumstances the hospitality industry is facing due to Covid-19, I think a credit option must be offered to those who can no longer travel due to Covid-19 (as it is out of our control).

Banyan Tree Resort refused to give me a credit for our three-night stay. We could not travel to the NT as were stuck in lockdown in Victoria. I wasn’t expecting a refund, I was asking for a credit to use when we are able to travel. We lost $705.

We will get up to the NT (hopefully soon!) and travel around. We will definitely not stay at Banyan Tree Resort and will tell our family and friends not to stay there either.

A green oasis with beautiful grounds, with awesome hosts who care. Great food and cold beer. We were lucky to witness some live music too. The Banyan Tree is spectacular. Thanks for having us.

Amazing caravan park. Great sites. Wonderful friendly helpful staff. Had the time of our life here. Used this caravan park as our base as we explored Lichfield National Park. You would be silly to stay anywhere else if your in the area.

They have a beautiful farm with many animals such as cows or horses. Beautiful grass and special decorated bathrooms are impressive. If the staff could give us more smile and warm, I will give them 5 stars

SHAMEFUL BEHAVIOUR – Banyan Tree take your payment in full, in advance, and under NO circumstances do they refund, make a change, or credit you - HOWEVER they only advise this for 'online' bookings and NOT when you phone them direct - Due to COVID I cannot go to NT as planned. I did not book my stay through any website, I booked directly with ‘Leenly’ (?) at Banyan Tree by phone and was not made aware of any non cancellation policy that they had in place at the time they took my booking and my money, so legally I am entitled to have my money refunded. Leenly advised me that they are fully booked out with reservations for the entire holiday season and so refuse to even credit me – they are a disgrace to the Nation – they are rude and verbally abusive on the phone, they do not give you a booking reference and they are taking advantage of COVID to the maximum! I will be following this up If I could give a ZERO star I would. This was our one trip since Covid began.

Great spot for a few nights close to Litchfield. Good size sites. Great value. Pool and restaurant both good. We’ll be back. Well done Jono!

My experience. My opinion There are no barbeques here so you must have your own. Camp kitchen basic. They do have a Pub service food and drink. I found.my Corona and Barossa cider cost $20.00. Poor WiFi and Data connection unless you are situated at the Pub. Mango smoothy at about $7.00 was of a low standard. There are some new showers at the back end of the park Toilets at the Pub are very ancient. PS they do have a pool.
