This place is a gem the food was amazing, the staff so friendly and even we didn't have a reservation they pulled a table for us. Amazing place

A nice hidden gem located in Wolli Creek.
Came here after hearing good reviews from friends, and it didn't disappoint.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of an apartment building, tucked away in the corner. You are immediately greeted by friendly staff. The food was on point! Especially if you like a smokey taste and highly recommend the smoked mackerel, beef short rib, chicken katsu, and coconut ice cream for dessert.

The coconut ice cream is big! Can be shared between 2-4 people as inside the coconut you have jelly which goes well with the ice cream.

Will definitely come back again and thank you to the staff for this pleasant dinner experience

Amazing food. Flavours are good. The squid and lamb were my favourites. Of course can't miss the coconut ice cream.

What a hidden gem! The food was divine and the service was exceptional. Everything we ordered was just downright delicious and exceeded all our expectations. Still salivating over the smoked pork cutlet. Also highly recommend the coconut ice cream, which is made fresh to order.

One of my favourite restaurants in sydney! Food was incredible and for such a good price too. Each dish was bursting with flavour and something that I've never tasted before. The set menu allows you to choose your sides and mains so the choices I ordered aren't your only options! Im also a big fan of the presentation and the staff was so friendly too. I'll definitely be revisiting!

We came here for the food, not the ambience. The lighting, decor, bathroom & location are quite average so wouldn't really recommend for a date, but great for a casual dining option if you're keen for a nice banquet that doesn't cost the earth. We loved the starters - the fried tofu, wintermelon and squid were divine. The chicken katsu however was average, and the pork cutlet main dish wasn't a great texture and was paired with an overly sweet sauce. Broccolini was good. Olive rice very overrated. Small but very nice wine selection. We unfortunately didn't have room for the coconut ice cream which did look amazing - the banquet is definitely enough food for two!

Everything here is tasty! The prawns in the spicy sauce and smoked chicken katsu were stand out.

I've been here quite a few times over the last year, and it's a true hidden gem! Worth booking ahead if you're a few diners or if you want to sit inside, but if you're a couple and happy to sit outside with a heater, you can walk in.

2nd time dining here been almost two years but the quality is consistent. And only reason it took us so long to return is the location so really hopping it opens in a more convenient location! This hidden gem is worth more people enjoying. Well done surviving the COVID winter it’s so good to revisit! Ps: $60 pp banquet is perfect!

First time dining here and it was for a friend’s birthday! The 4 of us spent a total of $252 (includes 5 non-alcoholic beverages) and these were our thoughts on the food

Snapper Ceviche $24
Tangy, fresh, light, all tied together with a light smokiness from the pineapple. Amazing way to start off our night.

Sautéed Prawns $24
Tasted better than they look prawns were cooked perfectly and had a nice bite to it. Not sure what they put in their “house made chilli sauce” but it tasted like crack. I’d liken it to a shrimp sambal paste. Salty, spicy, stanky

Smoked Beef Short Rib $45
Our preferred meat dish of the night. Beautifully cooked, juicy and tender. The sauce sitting at the bottom of the dish was just ‍ I really enjoyed running the kale through it. No complaints from any of us.

Coconut Ice Cream $25
I saw people just come in and order this, and I can see why. It’s really refreshing and not too sweet, making it the ideal summer dessert.

Sides were nice but nothing special. Olive rice was really fragrant and cooked perfectly. We were just expecting a stronger olive taste. I personally liked the potato dish ‍️ Broccolini and baos are as you’d imagine - could’ve definitely gone without the baos.

Lamb was tender, smoky, and skin was perfectly crispy - just liked the beef more. The eggplant was so good, only complaint was that there wasn’t enough of it.

Tiramisu was too bitter for our liking. Donuts were warm and tasty af but nothing unique so not marking it as a highlight

THE OTHER STUFF:
Definitely recommend booking. Inside seating is nice if you like open kitchens BUT if you book into their 1st seating time, there is a time limit. Outside seating is not so vibey but you can take your time.
Time between dishes was quite long. Great if you’ve got a lot of catching up to do, not so great if you’re hangry.

Very creative dishes. The fusion of cusines and extraordinary flavours was an absolute delight for our taste buds.

We did the banquet menu, but I believe this is the type of restaurant where every dish would be amazing.

The combination and pairing of some flavours was very unique, exciting and impressive.

The staff were very professional and knowledgeable.

Highly recommended.

Food quality is good in general. Besides the ingredients, can always surprise you with how they make their sauces

Fantastic food the beef just melted in your mouth the chicken was superb and if you like Brussel Sprouts the side dish of them is a must they're sort of char grilled and so tasty. My daughter and son in law took me as they live in Walli Creek and I was over from England on holiday, what a treat. Wish we had somewhere this good to eat where I live in Lincolnshire. Staff friendly. Not cheap but you get what you pay for and well worth it, no complaints from us.

Great Asian smokehouse in the middle of Wolli Creek. All the dishes were fantastic and had wonderful unique flavours and texture. The desserts were also great! Recommend booking before you come because it is always full. Highly recommended.
