Two Men and a Truck

Very disappointed in my experience with Two Men and a Truck, overpriced, lazy, and poor customer service.

Moving from a small one-bedroom, into a storage unit in the next suburb took three and a half hours with two men and myself loading and unloading. $700 in total, with the removalists intentionally slow in loading and securing the truck. One of them even sat on a phone call for 20 minutes, dealing with another clearly disgruntled client who he had stuffed around.

The very next week, the contents of the same storage unit were loaded into my new apartment, up three flights of stairs, in a touch over one and a half hours, less than half the time it took Two Men and a Truck, and at only $250 in total.

Quality of handling my possessions, also poor. Chairs were dropped onto the road, marked and scuffed, boxes bent and damaged, as well as two glasses broken. No such issues with the next providers.

On speaking with a customer service rep, they said their manager would call me to rectify, and guess what. I've never heard a thing.

Really poor experience, I'd recommend people don't engage with them, and if they do, be cautious.

Was told on the phone that the arrival time would be 3pm. Then got a email saying between 3-5. Then they turned up at 6pm. They then proceed to spread out the last 30 minutes to bring the total cost up to $590 for a few items. They damaged my fish tank and washing machine. When brought to the attention of the drivers they responded that it was wrapped in a cloth and it wasn't there fault. Called customer support they sided with the drivers even tho we took photos and basically told us that we should of got insurance. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. TLDR Late, Damage Items, Slow.

Fast, Efficient, Careful, Friendly, Professional.

I've seen the name Two Men & A Truck around Sydney as long as I can remember and never used the service. I've just had a truckload of tubs and furniture moved from under my house to nearby storage by Felipe and Augusto. They were a couple of the best workers I've encountered. They kept me posted on their ETA and arrived in the pre-booked 2 hour window, parking right out front in the spot I reserved for them with my trusty witches hats. They had a look at everything before starting the clock and worked efficiently and carefully to get every last item on the ute so we could do just one trip, saving me time and money.
They strapped everything on tight and I met them at my local Kennards. They unloaded just as quickly and carefully, always mindful of not wasting time and taking care with my goods.
The whole job was over in 75 minutes and they even carried a couple of heavy items up to the street for me that were not being moved, but to heavy for me to lift by myself.
I expect to use the service again, can absolutely recommended using Two Men & A Truck and I hope you get these two fellows as they did a brilliant job.

Their website says "we charge flat hourly rates and call out fees, so there are no unexpected surprises at the end of your move". Well, my quote of "a minimum" $320 turned into a total cost of $590 to move out of my small studio apartment into another, all within the same postcode. From my prior move in experience I expected a maximum 90 mins labour at a cost of about $440.

Their staff were pleasant enough but very slow, despite everything being well packaged and ready to go (their start and end times are inaccurate too - they started charging me before they even arrived).

Their quotes are deceptive - shop around.

I had terrible service with this company during my recent move. The 2 men started at 7.30, however charged me from 7.15.

One man was carrying items to the truck while the second man was packing things away nicely, which is fine. However with some larger items, including an antique dining room table, the gentleman tried lifting this by himself and scratched one side of it as it fell on the steps. Also, he always had a chat when he got to the truck for a few minutes instead of coming straight back to carry more items out which was a waste of time, to such a point we started helping carrying things out as well.

They inputted the incorrect address for the destination, so it took me 20minutes to reach there and it took them 1 hour and 40minutes, however they didn’t answer their phone to inform me of this until they were 20mins away. The invoice still charged me for this wasted time (note: 1 hour of this was refunded back after a complaint was lodged).

One of the men took a phone call, had a drink and went to the bathroom at the end which took 15mins and I got charged for that time too!

Considering I was willing to pay quite a premium to ensure items were moved efficiently and safely I was truly disappointed at the damage, the 110mins extra that was charged and the inefficiency.

I was later informed these men were contracted and not usual employees of two men and a truck.like that justified the incompetence.

Read some decent reviews about this company, but our experience was quite disappointing. The men helping us were nice dudes, but very slow – and we were only getting their help with some of our house, not all of it (e.g. Just the bulkier items like fridge, mattresses etc.) We were quoted at $440 and I was aware that it could end up being more which we were fine with – however it took them four hours to move less than two bedrooms worth of furniture, 5-10 minutes down the road – the price blew out to $768. Considering that was moving less than HALF our unit, it really wasn't good enough. We also caught the men multiple times on their phones, and moving items one by one that could have been bulk carried (e.g. One dining chair at a time, instead of stacking them on and carrying multiple ones – I'm 5ft tall and could carry 3-4 if necessary). They started at 7: 30am, and we didn't even see the second guy until after 8am. Really disappointed and not worth the cost – even if they were friendly guys, there's much cheaper places out there for your moving needs.

The whole reason for using removalists is to take the worry out of moving but can't say that about Two men and a truck. They understated the amount of furniture we had even though we queried them and suggested a bigger truck was needed they said it was fine. Well a 4-5hr move turned into a 10hr job with the wife acting as the 3rd removalist! Guys we're good and worked hard all day but will never use this company again.

Excellent professional service, the driver rang me right on the delivery window to let me know he was 45 minutes away.the work was completed in a quick and professional manner, I would have no problems using Two men and a truck again or recommending them to a friend.the Best Sydney Removalists

Two men and a truck are probably the best sydney removalists I have encountered. The two men that came to help me move apartments were absolutely lovely. They took great care in moving my furniture, were extremely speedy and friendly. Once they arrived at my new place they took the time to make sure all the furniture was placed in the right spots, which no other removalist has ever done for me. You definitely get more than what you pay for here, couldn't recommend them more.

We just had your guys deliver four very large and heavy storage units. The guys were fantastic. The most professional removalists we have experienced. They were amazing in figuring out how to get our storage units through very tight spacing and low ceiling heights. Others would have given up. We plan to use your service again, and if possible Victor and Flávio, for a future move. We will recommend you to anyone looking for Brisbane Removalists. I booked these people to assist my mother with a move. They were 2 hours late and then disputed each item that needs moving. They were rude, hostile and intentionally took twice as long as they should have. They also took 2 hours to drive a 40 minute journey and decided to make stops on the way without informing my mother. Completely disappointed.

The 4 men who helped on the day.were fantastic. They worked hard with a smile on their face. The job was done quickly and with a bit of laughter. It made a very stressful day much better. Highly recommend their service.

The two men that came to move my stuff were excellent! Not only did they turn up on time, they were also very very careful with not damaging my stuff as well as the walls in my house. They were also efficient and courteous at all times. Excellent Sydney Removalists and I will certainly use them again as well as recommending them to friends and family.
