I was admitted to the Hills Clinic a little over a year ago & still wake up with nightmares from my experience.

Was told my quality of life was tarnished by their psychiatrists. Nurses cared more about phones then our mental health.

10/10 do not recommend. Not lit.

I have recently discharged from this great place. I really want to thank all the kind and caring staff who have helped me through my journey. Everyone of the staff are amazing and really need to be acknowledged for the great job they do. I am planning to return as a day patient so hopefully I will see you all again.even if it's just to say Hi
Thanks so much again

My son just completed a 3 week inpatient program at your clinic the young adult program, he has left the clinic with a better understanding of his mental health issues, the staff and his treating doctor were caring and kind, the following up care is very much appreciated,

If you spent 12 years on your psychiatric degree and work here, then i feel bad for your parents. The only good thing about this place is their exit. Don't bother coming here because I'm pretty sure they purposely diagnose you as insane to keep you there and milk you for all your cash. If your psychiatrist works here, then rest assured they were last in their class and could care less about your mental well-being. The place also smells like Scott Morrison's pants after visiting a maccas. Save your money and time by visiting any other psychiatrist or psychiatric facility.

I discharged from The Hills just last week. All the nursing staff were kind, caring and always there to listen to me when I was experiencing stress or flashbacks. The Psychologists and counsellors ran the groups in a non confronting manner.plus the food was amazing, I am a vegetarian and there was always a nice variety to choose from. Congratulations to the management of this clinic your team has done you proud.
A big thank you from my family and myself.

Came here seeking treatment of my ADHD, while the psychiatrist did prescribe medication, the reception lost it and didn't mail it within a week of it being prescribed, eventually they found it and asked me to come get it.

The Psychiatrist I see also doesn't respond to any emails, when both he and the reception encouraged me to send emails for any problems, etc.

Psychiatrist also wouldn't release authorisation to my GP for me to be able to get repeats of my medication without going through him directly (paying $400 each time for it). He also tried to upsell me to an inpatient service for treatment, which I found was very unprofessional.

Don't waste your time here.

Absolutely appalling customer service and rudeness from frontline staff.
The way their staff goes about treating the clients within the clinic is disgusting and shameful.
Receptions are unable to properly book people in and then blame/gaslight you even though they made the mistake.
I wish I could give a 0 star review.

Posting a third party review as what I heard was without a doubt the most unprofessional reception staff I have ever heard.

Not only do they not introduce themselves correctly ensuring you have called the correct clinic, They answer in a manner befitting a teenager at school, and offer no help further than "No".

I warn anyone who may have to call this cesspool to prepare yourself to never receive a call back, the fax machine being broken, and completely incompotent staff.

Truly disgusting behvaiour.

AMAZING PLACE, some of the reviews here are quite Baffling. The Hills Clinic is absolutely amazing. I was a patient there in the additions unit this year (2021) and found the Nursing Staff to be professional, caring and incredibly supportive in my recovery.

The Addictions Groups are informative and facilitated by experienced engaged facilitators and or psychologist.

I felt welcomed instantly being greeted on my arrival from the lovely reception girls. The rooms all with ensuites are 5 Star, just like hotel accommodation, just beautiful. The Kitchen Staff are amazing and serve delicious food 5 times a day!

Everyone that I encountered at The Hills Clinic from Nurses, Doctors, Kate the Num, Administration, Kitchen & Cleaning Staff to CEO Jacki were all very friendly and approachable.

The Hills Clinic has changed my life for the better and I would recommend it to anyone that wants the best care in their Addictions Recovery.

I do not normally write positive reviews, like most, I would only write of bad experiences, this time however I feel the need to write a review describing the amazing treatment my relative received at The Hills Clinic! Unfortunately due to the stigma of “mental health” she did not want to be named on an open platform. I write (with her permission) on her behalf, she described the facility as her “saving grace” To the nursing staff, doctors and management I thank you!

I had my first appointment today, I was very nervous but the reception staff and my doctor made me feel very at ease. The experience was very positive. I'm glad I was referred here.

The way their staff goes about treating the clients within the clinic is disgusting and shameful.

It seems to be the culture within a few of their locations. They’re in the wrong industry to be treating people the way they do.

I’ve had nothing, but good experiences with Dr Terrance Lim although.

He’s very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s a shame the reception possess such awful attitudes.

My first time reaching out and seeking help.
The doctors and staff in person are great! I really enjoy how caring everyone is regarding everyone’s mental, and physical health!
The medical centre side of things is a little lack lustre regarding patient/centre communication, it can take days of chasing things up before any real action; however, that doesn’t detract from the great care provided!
Keep it up!:)

Horrible hospital to be admitted to. Left after only a day. Was asked to do a urine sample, I asked if it was for a drug test and they said no. Two weeks later, I am billed for a drug test by their pathology. Was promised I would be in a double room but alone only to have another person be put in my room later that night. They throw Valium out as if it is candy instead of treating the actual problem. I would give zero stars if I could.

Received a referral from my doctor for a psych at the hills clinic. Rang to make an appointment, was told the doctor needed to see the referral before making the appointment and that she wasn’t taking new patients till October. I stated I was happy to wait and I emailed through the referral.
1 week later no contact so followed up, was told someone would contact me shortly.
Another week later no contact so I followed up again and was told the Dr was no longer taking any new patients at all. I asked if there was another psych I could see and was told that they would get back to me.
Another 4 days have passed, called to follow up this morning and was told that something would be sorted by today and they are extremely sorry.
Well it’s now reached close of business for another day and nothing has been resolved. Still no return contact, still no appointment. Since getting my referral it’s been almost 3 weeks of trying to just make an appointment. I was happy to wait for an appointment once it was booked in.but what kind of hope does The Hills clinic give to people who are obviously struggling with something mentally. The hills clinic should be ashamed of its service given the area of work they are involved in.

It's been over five years since I completed my outpatient DBT group at the Hills Clinic. I was studying abroad in Haymarket and would take two bus lines and walk a mile in the blazing summer heat to get here. Those 12 weeks changed my life. I am so fortunate to have had that experience, and I still think about it often. I have yet to find a DBT program of comparable quality in the US where I live.

Only one decent psychiatrist available which is Dr Tanveer Ahmed.
Dr Lim is highly incompetent and will be on his phone during your appointment. He will then forget to write down your script correctly or omit to write your script.
He will falsify statements to preserve his reputation, as do many of the other staff. There is zero consistency nor accountability.
Only one decent nurse called Allen.
Horrible Nursing Unit Managers. Especially Mars who has an ego complex of a tyrant.
Undereducated facilitators that lack basic literacy skills.
Handover process between nurses is subpar. Management requires urgent review. Allied
Health Manager Sara is quite adept.
Nurse GERDA is clearly mentally unstable and will abuse patients.
I would not recommend this facility for inpatient services.
Outpatient services are adequate but of "band-aid" standard.
I would recommend that you make enquiries at other facilities prior to admission at this clinic as you will find that many patients here have common concerns with staff and management.
The facility is not what it used to be when it was founded by Ted Cassidy as it is now run for profit after being sold off to a Chinese company.
Not a safe or nurturing environment and your needs will be ignored.

I've been seeing a doctor at this clinic over a year now for ADHD. Last week I ran out of medication for an ongoing condition, I had an appointment scheduled for today. When I turned up to the appointment they told me that I had turned up late for the appointment and that the next time they could fit me in to see a doctor (For a script) was 13 days from now on the 28th.

I have been taking medication everyday now for over a year, and communicated that to the staff at the front desk. I have been in a rush attempting to submit all my assignments for Uni as well as applying for jobs since losing mine due to COVID.

I have finally been selected for a job and I am in the 'on-boarding 'stage of employment. I communicated to the staff at the desk that I needed to refill my prescription ASAP; and that I could not wait 13 days.
The manager just smirked at me and brought up the fact that I was late.

FYI there are side-effects for sudden withdrawal of my medication including:

irritability
anxiety
depression

Symptoms can include feeling irritable, anxious, or tired. More often than not, people with ADHD will notice a return of their symptoms (as there is not enough drug in their system to manage the symptoms).

I am so dissapointed with the Hills clinic staff for disregarding my well being, and will immediately change clinics.

The Hills gave me my life, my family, my dignity and my hope back. Thank you to the in-patient and out-patient facilitators, the nurses, admin staff, catering staff and the lovely couple that keep The Hills Hospital so clean.
I had no expectations when I arrived but I knew I needed a lot of help. Dr Nishant Wankhede supported me through my journey at The Hills with gentleness, knowledge and compassion and I felt I was always encouraged to take an active role in my diagnosis and treatment.
The Hills won’t “fix” you or make your problems go away. They will give you the space and the care to be heard, to be still, to reflect, to learn and to be treated. What you do with all they offer and whether you are able to start life on a new path is up to you. Change is not easy and without a lot of personal work on your inner self and acceptance of the role your own actions have taken in your life, assistance from others will only act as a bandaid.

Dr Nadir Hafiz is not at all clever in diagnosing the patient and giving the correct medication. Diagnoses me with generalised anxiety disorder and autism spectrum disorder, later I find out I am not on the autism spectrum. Completely neglected another important aspect of my condition. Refused to prescribe enough medication to control my anxiety and depression, despite being on a very small dose. Resulted me getting much worse, multiple suicide attempts and hospital admissions later, still refused to prescribe medication. After another doctor took over, found out I had a much more sinister and serious psychiatric condition that required much more medication which I was prescribed and have now recovered. Had I stayed with this doctor, I would have probably succeeded in killing myself! I would advise anyone to choose another doctor, he simply does not prescribe enough medication and often gives a wrong diagnosis!
