It saddens me that people could be put off by the reviews left here.

I can honestly say that I can’t even find the words to express the gratitude I have to Dr Wankhede and The Hills Clinic. I have been attending the clinic for nearly 12 months and from the very FIRST appointment Dr Wankhede identified my real issues and we were able to commence the journey toward a positively functioning life and mind.
I also attend their weekly DBT group therapy which is truly fantastic.

No doctor can “fix” everything for you. YOU have to do the hard work. However when you have the expertise and support from this type of Psychiatrist it makes it so much easier.

Eternally grateful.

I captured video of the horrible treatment i was receiving from a nurse including grabbing, snatching and yelling, it was my first day and i was highly agitated.the nurses stormed in my room and started pulling everything apart because i had been crying.once they realised i had captured video they called the security guards to take my phone and delete the video, he grabbed and pushed me out the front of the hospital at 12am for recording this video, i will not arrive home until 6am.luckily he wasn’t aware of the recently deleted photos.my family will be pursuing legal action.if you’re looking for a good facility, go to public hospital before you come here.there are pet resorts with more competent staff.

I called this facility to see if they could help me. I started having an anxiety attack whilst trying to explain myself, and was told “you sound too escalated for our program, our clients like peace”
As if making the first contact wasn’t hard enough, I had the person on the phone making me feel unworthy of help. Imagine actually being there! I got off the phone and cried like a baby. Well done on squashing someone who was already in a mental health crisis.

My admissions have all been relatively ok, majority of hospital staff are lovely and helpful - however i was witness to Dr Absalan degrading one of her underage patients in the loft, laughing and smiling at the girl as she was in distress screaming and crying.she needs to be fired and lose her license, watching that poor girl deal with her psychiatrist, the one person who’s meant to be supporting her the most, absolutely make her spiral.the girl was also discharged over the situation when Absalan was 100% the individual in the wrong & wasn’t held accountable for her actions

Dr Absalan was a horrible psychiatrist who treated a patient horribly, using their sadness against them to trigger them. This is unprofessional practice and as long as dr Absalan is still working there I will not be sending my kids there as they are supposed to be supported not traumatised. Please review your psychiatrists as this treatment is not on.

The facility itself is not a bad place and most of the nurses are quite nice but psychiatrist Dr Absalan was severely unprofessional when seen by all inpatients threatening and laughing at an inpatient expressing struggles with self harm and suicidal thoughts. She further let the situation escalate and resulting in the inpatient being blamed and and the psychiatrist lying and saying she never acted unprofessional when multiple inpatients witnessed this event. This was disgusting to witness and this horrible psychiatrist does not deserve to look after those who come here for help and recovery. Leaving this underage girl with more severely distressed and in a state of worse mental health than when she arrived.

It’s psychiatrists like Absalan who make people hesitant to ever seek the professional help ever again. Nobody should have to deal with the invalidation and embarrassment of pouring your feelings into someone to be met with a condescending tone and laughter as a response.

The hills in itself is a good facility in some sense, there are many positive things to say about it - however the bad outways the good. A facility that can harbour and defend the actions of a psychiatrist who only makes her patients feel devalued and makes them end up spiralling even worse, is not a facility that should be open.

If you’re planning an admission, make sure you specify you do not wish to have her as your psychiatrist, as somehow, she is still working within the hills clinic and hasn’t been held accountable for her actions.

Her patients she’s only made worse haven’t received their justice.

Not a bad place, good groups and good vibes but.very rude psychiatrist. A patient was in distress and was expressing how she wanted to hurt herself and end her life. Doctor Absalan laughed in that patients face and then told the patient “I can live with that” word for word. It was disgusting watching a fellow mate getting told her problems don’t matter. The patient has now been discharged for expressing her concerns, doctor absalan is still in the job. She’s laughing at our issues and isn’t doing anything! And then plays the victim when she realises she’s in the wrong. Her unprofessional manner has cost a fellow patient her treatment to get better. The patient in question is underage, she was dropped here by her parents to get treatment. And now is getting discharged for speaking her mind about her psychiatrist laughing at her. This poor underage girl just wanted help and thought she could confide in her psych, but she was laughed at.

The facility itself isn’t bad. The groups they run are informative, the large majority of nurses are wonderful and supportive. However, psychiatrist Dr Absalan was informed by her patient they wished to harm themselves via “putting a bullet through their own head and cutting themselves”, to which she replied 3 times “i can sit with that”, insinuating she was content with the patient doing so. She was demeaning her patient and speaking in a condescending tone, (the patient also being a minor in the loft ward). When the patient went into distress, yelling and crying about Absalans response, the she responded by laughing and grinned to the patients face as the she was mid-meltdown. Absalan was not held accountable for her actions, and the patient of whom she triggered and gave the utmost disrespect to was discharged over the situation, as Absalan cannot take responsibility for her own actions.

Inept administrative team. Tried to call and confirm an appointment time and was bounced between dial tone and hold for 30 minutes. Showed up and found that the appointment wasn’t in their system, even though they were the ones to suggest and book the time (rescheduled due to doctor having Covid). So, it ultimately took 4 separate bookings to get in the door. I can appreciate that there are staffing issues due to Covid, but as evidenced by the appalling reviews here, this is an ongoing issue that is clearly not being addressed - which is shocking when dealing with such vulnerable clientele. Hope to never have to come back here ever again.

I had previously given the hills clinic a bad review due to the reception staff that I had dealt with in my first few interactions with the hills clinic. I have been made aware that the lady who was responsible for this terrible service has been moved and I have since had great interactions with the staff. Regardless of the negative Or positive interactions with the reception staff I have always had positive interactions with dr Wankhede. Dr wankhede is a director of the clinic and was happy to discuss with me the issues faced previously and acknowledged that the issues caused by the previous staff member had caused disappointment to clients/patients and damage to the centre. I would now recommend the hills clinic.

Finally a company that puts clients B 4 cash. Helped me get off alcohol and medication improved my health very well, recommend to everyone.

Grew too big too fast. Psychiatrists overloaded and patients are lost in the overwhelming demands that expansion has caused. Aimed largely at youth now. It’s hard to believe when you turn up for an appointment that treatment was so individualised and people genuinely cared. Since the expansion they have also lost a lot of the original staff sadly.

I usually don't leave reviews, but this admission, has left me in a space where I am absolutely speechless and (NOT in a good way)
The care given to myself and multiple patients is absolutely revolting. From the minute you come in, so many of us got to the point we're we actually had no choice but to LEAVE (through advice given from outside professionals).
Anyone who needs to be here, should seriously try and look into other places.
You'll find it hard to get better here, or even worse. Leave with MORE than you came in with!

Unfortunately something needs to be done,
So I'll be taking this a lot futher.

All of the staff at this facility have been nothing short of wonderful. My son has been loved and cared for the way that he needed to be and has nothing but praise for the nurses, counsellors and Dr Terry Lim. We are eternally grateful for the group sessions and breakthroughs that my lad was able to get through the care and consideration of the people at this facility from the reception right through the clinic. Thank you thank you

Life has been extremely difficult to cope! However Staff at The Hills Clinic have began working with me and making it more able to live!
Today was a very difficult day and going into my appointment I can’t thank enough Nicola Cornwell and Dr Greg Pearson for helping me manage what I’m going through. I am extremely grateful they always go above and beyond to ensure I am safe and okay before I leave and when there not around all the other staff ensure I am safe and well looked after before leaving the hills clinic.
THANKYOU hills clinic I am extremely grateful for everything you do

My wife recently stayed at the Hills Clinic after recommendation from her Psychiatrist.

The facilities are first class and the staff warm and welcoming.

My wife spoke positively of her experience and the staff were there to help.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the Hils Clinic.

I finally got through and made an appointment over the phone with the Hills Clinic after months of no one answering the phone or my email requests with my referral, to show up on the day (after waiting MONTHS) and be told that my appointment wasn't in their system.
I had even called that morning to confirm, and again - no answer.

This clinic should be embarrassed to call themselves "the leader in mental health treatment in Sydney's Norwest" as written on their website.
This type of treatment is unacceptable and I hope that no one else has an experience like mine.
Communication and professionalism is extremely lacking, especially for a health care facility.

If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would:)

Customer service staff are completely rude, been trying to get an appointment and have been told multiple different things. Finally go to book (based on their preferences) and they can't take my booking. No one advised me it was booked. Called and Nikola I believe (manager) is completely rude, did not offer any alternative bookings/advise until things were getting heated over the phone. When she answered the phone, she didn't introduce herself (had to ask for her name) and was laughing about her tea and cake.
After reading all the reviews you would think they would make some effort to adjust this behaviour, especially dealing with mental health patients.

Ridiculous self loving attitudes.
Would rate 0/10 if possible.

Will definitely be speaking to my referring doctor and will advise him not to refer this clinic for mental health patients.
