78Do not go there, the staff and manager are the worst in Sydney. A year ago I bought a new iPhone from this shop, opened at home and realised the phone has been bent from new, I noticed when I try to put on new screen protector, went back to the officeworks shop they said to me I will have to pay $120 for a independent phone repair company to investigate if I bend the phone. I can’t believe this, and took the phone to apple centre, their technician examined the phone and concluded its manufacturer defects, I went back to the officework shop west ryde, several times and argued with their manager finally get my refund, the whole process is painful, I will never step back into the shop give me grief.
There are a slight congestion and waiting time, due to limited customer service, based on the size of this Officeworks.
If they're open till 8.30 pm only, why don't they update their website? Such a waste of time to have a website telling customers they're open till 9pm.
I would give like 0 star! Staffs were not willing to help customers.how many times do i have to explain.took me 1.5 hrs to photocopy my documents
Extremely satisfied with the service i received in store at West Ryde today.willingly assisted me to get all of the cords required to set up my macbook. Very satisfied with the assistance today! Keep up the good work.
Staff are extremely unhelpful, not friendly and do not know how to prioritise tasks. IF you are overwhelmed, at least be friendly and communicative and customers will be understanding.
Very bad store. Don't go there if you have other options. It used to be much better but now days staffs are unmotivated and don't know anything about their products. Even suggesting wrong items that goes with some products. Must of them don't even know where the item is or what it does.

I have been a patron of this branch of officeworks for well over 10 years now, and have consistently had frustrating experiences almost every visit. I work in retail so try very hard to be understanding and patient and empathetic, but after years of bad service I think management really needs to change something.
At first I thought the issue might have just been a few staff members but over the years even after those people have left, service is still terrible.
For example, on many occasions I have paid for a document to be bound, accepted the (honestly excessive) hour or more wait time, and returned only to have the document not bound. Recently I gave them an extra 15 minutes to complete the service and when I arrived back the document still was untouched. It then took a subsequent 30 minutes (on a very quiet day) to get someone to bind it (a process which takes mere minutes). Communication (team and customer), motivation, and training are three key areas that I believe would benefit from improvement. Or hey, maybe just a more staff in general.
A final note: I get the impression that it is a pretty well known thing that the West Ryde store is bad. I mentioned once to a staff member at the North Ryde store how impressed I was at how quickly they were able to perform a service for me (even though the store was busy) considering how long I usually have to wait at West Ryde, and they laughed and agreed that West Ryde are renown for their inefficiency and bad customer service.
Go to North Ryde instead.
Entrance is not safe at all. It's hard to get into off the main road. Also the Officeworks is not a pleasant store and doesn't have many of the items from the larger Officeworks stores.
Staffs are unfriendly, not even helping properly when customer needs help.i had been waiting for 45 minutes standing in front of the printer, waiting for staffs to solve. But what staffs said is to wait and wait. Awful.
Staff unmotivated to help customers. Took a long time to serve one customer at register during non peak time. Clearly in need of staff training in customer service.
No issues whenever I’ve been into the store, staff are friendly enough albeit not overly helpful if looking for a product however the stores phone service is abysmal; never, in all the cases that I’ve tried to get through to a member of staff via their phone number, have I managed to get through. They do not answer their phones and more often than not, the call will drop out after five minutes. You’re better off going into the store to have your inquiry answered than wasting your time on the phone.
Really small store, two staff members on the floor, really small range and access to the shop is just really bad, you have to walk down on the car ramp because the lift is broken

Hate this shop and would turn to ebay in the future.
It's a small store so stock is unreliable. Customer service for sales is good but printing photos is a nightmare. No one to assist you when the machines break down, it's just a complete headache you want to avoid at all costs! Parking is equally as frustrating.

Wrong price tags for items, when asked staff (Michael) about it, he was extremely blunt and rude. I don't understand how people with an attitude like that end up in a customer service role. They had the items I required is the only reason for the extra star.
The customer service i have to say its so bad.they print our copy with no checking even every half page is blank.and their attitude is you have check by your self.and TODAY I went to print someting the lady there just saying collection collection.i thought they ask for collecting print.when i come to her.she just igorn me and still saying collecting collecting.how could they have this kind of service

Terrible service. I tried to photocopy my cards. The photocopy machine is hard to use. I asked the staff to help me set up machine. He even did not look at it. After that, my cards were not copied properly. They are all blank. I had to ask the guy another two times, finally got what I need. Actually, he just needs to press one more button on the machine. But this service is very unfriendly and impatient. Wasted my money and time. Terrible!
