I went into this store to buy an iPhone on a very busy public holiday weekend. I received excellent service from multiple staff members, despite the team being short-staffed due to covid isolation requirements. They managed difficult circumstances with grace and professionalism. I had an issue with my purchase, my fault, but I received fantastic customer service. The team went over and above in addressing the issue. I would give more stars if I could.

Spend 20 min downloading the photo app to make a card only to be told at the counter that the printer doesn’t work and hasn’t worked for a whole week! Put up bloody signs that says it’s out of order!

My review is not an attack on Officeworks staff - it is merely an expression of opposition.

So many condescending reviews I've read so far, can't keep count of them! People are really frustrated and think they're entitled the Royalty crown for best customer service? I admit sometimes printers are non functioning at all, staff turn away from you, stock unavailable.
But what we should be saying is 'their time and attention is appreciated', OfficeWorks employ on average 16-25 year olds I believe? So I don't think we were ALL that quick, efficient, smart, agile, engineered qualified at that age.
We need to stop the condescending/humiliating behaviour reviews. I'd admit how bad the service can be sometimes.but this won't help lift their character, only puts employees self esteem down by shaming their knowledge, or skills. Where is your constructive criticism? Tomorrow somebody else will walk in there with an issue and it starts all over again. I believe that people can repeat so many times their behaviour unless they're treated with correct approaching skills. Officeworks is not even a David Jones or exclusive department store so keep that in mind about retail service levels.
These employees may have struggles with their own lives that we might not be aware of. Nobody is perfect just remember to be kind even when things don't go YOUR way. The reviews could help to build a pleasant environment rather than to scare them away from us (the customers)!
Next time I will try my best to help them as much as they help me, next time I will try to write a positive review to encourage them rather than to discourage their potential.

Send a poster to print 2 weeks ago for an event. Every time I called the store they hung up on me, when I finally got a hold of someone they told me to ring customer care. On and off hold with customer care for 2 days.then they refunded me money and told me to ring the store to ask for a poster to be printed in 1 day. I asked them to facilitate the conversation because every time I ring the store I'm on hold until I'm hung up on. They just put me through direct to the store and I've been on hold for 15mins. Why send something to print 2 weeks before you need it if it just won't get done!

A lot of others have shared their experiences printing here.

Just adding to the group consensus - just don't. If your print job is just a little difficult you will have problems. I wanted gaming cards printed duplex so that the face and rear sides lined up. Test printing at home showed the file was formatted fine, so off to Office works I went. Got reassurance from the manager on the phone that the job should be easy, then spent half an hour explaining to the person on the print shop that day.

Cost was higher then the professional print shop I used to go to, and they took payment before telling me it would take three days. Eventually after a lot of drama they were unable to get the duplex printing to line up (4mm off horizontal, 2mm off vertical) and I just got a refund.

Staff were also super innatentive, one just wandered off mid conversation with my receipt in hand and started serving another customer, still holding my receipt. It was incredibly weird and did not feel great.

The staff in the printing section are always fantastic. Keen to help. Consistent. Always looking for solutions. In multiple exchanges they’ve been consistent, quick and above and beyond helpful. Fantastic!

Phone drops out on all options so impossible to call this store. Don't trust the website information which says they have stock so they miss out on the sale.

Waited in a long line to check out at the register, only one person serving. OK, fair enough, I can wait. But he was processing a refund and it was taking quite a while. Other staff keep looking over at the queue, the one person serving, then would keep walking away. Finally a second person jumped on and it was my turn. Not only did they not have stock (which they said they did) but the other staff member checking out the refund guy, called over the guy who was serving ME for more help. Just abandoned me, no "please wait", nothing. I just walked out and will find what I need in a computer store. Will it cost more, probably, but you get what you pay for (ie SERVICE).

Visited Lewisham store, claimed they couldn't take check, then the manager was going to talk to their accounts section the next day AND give me a call then a final call and possible delivery the next day (today). None of this has happened and it is now after 4pm. I will be reluctant to use Officeworks ANYWHERE after this because of the above and also no one can be bothered answering the phone all day today! Went to the store that afternoon to see what happened. Store manager said that they were having phone problems and he had only just heard back and was about to call me. Cheque purchase was ok'd and the company will process cheques reluctantly but try not to encourage it. Being a large business you would think that they would be glad of the income!

Was standing in line for a click and collect order. After 15 minutes of waiting, another staff member simply walked right past ask and did not ask us if we are waiting for anything, clearly when we are in the click and collect line and served the women right next to us and asked if they needed help with anything. It was as if he saw right through us.

Phone lines also are being cut off not directing to any staff, you have to physically walk into store if you want to follow up a click and collect order.

On another note, the team member in the tech area, she was very helpful on 1.10.21 afternoon.

Went out of my way to one to this specific store on the basis that it said it had stock available for a specific item. Place had just been renovated with nothing on shelves and nobody had any idea about how to get the item and even if I had done click and collect, I was informed I would have been told to go elsewhere. UPDATE YOUR STOCK AVAILABILITY IF ITS NOT AVAILABLE.

Won’t be back to this store.

I had to print and scan some really important documents. When I asked the person to print them for me I clearly mentioned that I want it double sided. However, while scanning he didn’t double check with me. Also, I assumed that it was common sense as the document was double sided. He was in such a rush and didn’t even bother to show me the final product.
So I got home and realised he scanned only half the pages. I don’t live in the same suburb and I need to submit these documents by today. They don’t even answer your phone. NEVER EVER GOING BACK HERE

Hopeless! Negative review! Click and collect service is waste of time they take your money and stock never arrives and ready to collect and tracking information is unreliable and no one bothers to answer the phone ever and you must waste your with in-person visits to receive bad news

Waited more than 10 days for overdue click and collect order. No response on phone and nil customer service to let me know that stock was not available, even though the website indicated all of the items were in stock.

I had some documents printed out and received them but it turned out there was one document missing. So I enquired through the website and asked them to deliver it. It said they were going to contact me within 5 days but I have not gotten any responses yet for almost 2 weeks and now I am quite sure they will never do. It seems as if it was a fraudulent trick. It was not a big deal so I do not mind but I just find it disrespectful or rather almost criminal.

The staff are well organised with sanitation stations, QR codes and everything to keep shoppers safe. Quick service with good value.
