Officeworks Castle Hill reviews
72Some employee named cooper was very helpful allowed be to find my mummy when i got lost in the store and he also helped me find the coloured pencils:)
Bad customer service. All staff look away and avoid eye contact and leave me wait in the queue for printing service even they don’t have any customer on in the cash register queue. This must come from management since the store manager did the same. Didn’t believe the rating until experience this myself.
Unknowledgeable and unhelpful staff, never have products in stock even when checking products are in stock on the website before entering the store. Try and find somewhere else to buy products before coming here as a last resort.
Well, I should check out the rating before going there. Here is the story:
Found a pretty good deal on Microsoft online store. Also heard a guy got the price beat from Officeworks (not this one obviously). So headed to the store for the same price beat. The manager seems only can repeat one sentence that this online store is not australian website and it's not ending with.au. So she could do nothing. I tried to exlain MS is doing business in Austrlia legally and this website is actually targeting AU market and the stock is in AU. Then I suddenly relieased she just didn't want to do price beat. That's it. Then I left.
Went to JB hifi next door. Those geeks have no proble with price match with Microsoft online store, even the color I asked for is already out of stock on MS. They still matched the price, I didn't aks them to beat as I know its not their policy.
VERY blatantly rude manager. Went to go purchase the samsung A52 from this store on 23/04/12, and the store manager that came to help us purchase the device was incredibly hostile towards us the entire time. When asking about a promotion about the samsung device the manager told us that it isnt their problem and we shouldve ordered online as it is an online only promotion; despite the promotion definitely including in-store purchases in the fine print. The manager continued to be speak in a mocking and condescending manner and insisted we should shop online regardless - clearly did not want to sell us the phone at all. Blatantly rude and unhelpful, and was the deciding factor in just not purchasing anything from the store at all. Other staff members were ok, just the awful manager.unfortunately did not get the name.
No one answers the phone for 5 minutes. Called Officeworks Northmead instead and get answered straight away. Shows a difference between the branches.
Extremely disappointing experience with the manager on the 23/04. The rest of the staff were fine, but this one in particular provided little to no help, aggressive behavior toward my uncle and aunty, and was extremely unprofessional. To anyone who thinks of visiting this store. Don't.
James helped me purchase a whiteboard. Super busy evening, he had to get a trolley from outside the store, possible the carpark. All while managing queries from other customers. Thanks, mate. Appreciate the extra effort.
We tried to print several cards and the guy couldn’t do the work, seems it was his first time printing, they also said the guillotine machine they have is faulty and we ended up doing the work somewhere else. Second time we did a laminate of a A2 page and it was a mess. We had to redo it. The outcome of redo was fine though.
Poor and slow customer service. How this place survives is one of the great mysteries of the universe.
Dont know why this place has such low reviews. These guys work hard and dont' get paid a huge amount. They do their best and I'm incredibly appreciative. It's not an easy job. Keep up the good work Officeworks Castle Hill
Unable to get through on the phone despite trying all phone line options and over multiple days. Also lost my click and collect. Lol. Went in to resolve the issue and still haven't heard back. Come on guys, everyones complaining about the same thing its not that hard to get right.
Staff and service is slow. I needed to have something hole punched and had to go back and forth between the sales counter and the printing area for 10 mins as they couldn’t find the person who punches holes in paper. Not kidding.
Honestly the worst experience I've had with the printing service. First, the printer jammed, and afterwards had to wait for half an hour only for them to print everything wrong and I specifically told the lady single sided beforehand. Seemed like she was rushing everything, and for what? They could clearly see that I was waiting and still continued to serve other customers which was really frustrating. After this terrible experience, ill never go to this Officeworks to print anything ever again. Wasted my time, money and energy.
Lovely store, i was helped by a young gentleman named cooper who helped me find exactly what i needed:)
Went there to take passport photos. Photo quality and lighring were very poor. Just waste of money
The staff at this store have been very good in all my recent visits to the store. Every store attendant I’ve encountered has been friendly and helpful. The on-site staff are the only reason this store gets more than 1 star.
The full story of my recent problems is a bit too long to make interesting reading, so I’ll cut it short with a summary of some of the issues I encountered – this was for a click and collect order placed online with collection from the Castle Hill store:
• My order of five items was split into three deliveries/collections (I’d have preferred if they were all put in one delivery and I was just made to wait until they were all there - particularly given current COVID concerns, the fewer times I have to go into the store the better)
• The items listed in each delivery differed from the items I actually collected when I first went into the store – this made it very difficult to determine (and prove) which items I had collected and which I was waiting for when I went back the second time.
• I received notification that some items were ready for collection but they weren’t there when I went into the store the first time.
• The phone system automatically hung up on me when I tried to call the store, regardless of which selection I made in the automated system.
• I called the Officeworks general help line (i.e. Not store specific) and was advised that they were also unable to call the store, so they emailed them and promised get back to me when they got a response – however I never heard back from them – my (unfounded) guess is that the store didn’t respond to the email.
• After becoming frustrated with trying for several days by phone and not getting through (I was trying to avoid having to go in to the store if my order wasn't there yet), I went into the store to check on my order and found that all the items I was waiting for were actually there (though not set aside for me, just in general stock).
It doesn’t feel as though this was a problem with service or even people, but rather a problem with technology, systems and processes. I’d recommend someone at Officeworks needs to do a deep dive into some of these issues to improve the customer experience.
After 2 weeks waiting for my pre-ordered product to be available, they called and told me they can not supply it at all. I went there for a refund and a staff couldn't help me, so I asked for their manager and after about 10 min waiting, an angry woman came out with a worse attitude you can see from a manager. It was the worst experience I've ever had with any customer service in my life.
PLEASE JUST AVOID.
Smaller than other stores, but parking is much better than Blacktown and other nearby stores.
Customer service is great too
Due to COVID-19 wearing masks is mandatory from the department of NSW health Gov as of today. Hope the situation get better soon and everyone is safe.
Officeworks required customers to check-in mobile app before entrance and also they checked if customers are wearing masks - Good job!
There were a lot of people buying stationaries for their children attending school prior to finishing a term 4 school holiday of 2020.
Some stationaries already ran out of and shelves were almost empty although staffs seemed to be very busy at doing their best at restocking products.
One of staffs was very helpful to find me a necessary stationary and his knowledge was pretty deep and informative to help me to make a quick decision as well. Most of staffs were profession and kids friendly - thank you very much!
