Murrays Coaches reviews
72Incredible indeed. They always follow the timeline and the journey almost always ends with in the estimated time. It's very comfortable traveling via Murrays as the staffs are friendly too.
Good quality service with regular trips to Canberra Jolimont via sydney airport.
The trip takes about 3 hours (one way) but is comfortable.
Each seat is quite private on the bus.
Great customer service. I will definitely recommend. Changed my tickets as I had to travel for an emergency. Thanks a ton.
Prices are too expensive relative to a couple of years ago. The seats on the newer coaches are not comfortable
Murrays coaches have shuttle bus services from Canberra to Sydney and Melbourne (and more).
I personally have travelled the Sydney-Canberra route using Murrays on multiple occasions and can confidently say that they are quite good. The buses run from 2 locations in Sydney - Sydney central (Central Station) and Sydney International airport. Canberra has just one location which is the Jolimont Centre in the city centre.
The buses run on time and very rarely have been delayed and that too by not more that 15 min. Sydney central is a very good location if you have work in the city as they drop you right at the Central Railway Station and you can get trains for wherever you may be headed in the city. To catch the bus back to Canberra, do note that the buses depart from the street below the Central Station. It was tricky for me to get to that place for my first visit.
Sydney Airport bus drop off is right in front of departure halls and pick up is next to the arrival halls. Just head outside the arrival halls behind the McDonald's store and you will see the coach bays. I personally would like to see them do Domestic terminal stop as well but still it's quite convenient. Makes life much easier if you want to travel on low cost airlines while living in Canberra.
All Murrays coaches have free WiFi. However, it's not always functional and also has internet issues from time to time (drops, latency etc.). The seats are comfortable but a tiny bit small and leg room is limited. The buses also have a USB port for each seat to allow you to charge your devices. There is a toilet at the back of every coach and is usually clean.
Travel time from Sydney Central to Canberra is 4 hours (3.5 from the Airport).
Murray's Coaches are usually very good. This particular time was full. My seat was not working and the driver was not polite that is why I gave them 4 out of 5. All my previous experience 5 out of 5.
Had a nice trip to Sydney and back to Canberra. Great value and the seats are comfy. Think I'm beginning to order this method over the flight between the two cities.
They get you places! Awesome alternative to driving, I use it regularly with my commute between Sydney and Canberra. Coaches have wifi, USB ports and reclining sears!
Tray table for your iPad or tablet.and buses have toilet for those emergencies.
Pathetic customer service. The driver didn't announce the next stop and had to travel longer back home from canberra. All people are not familiar about every stops are they? Would not recommend this service to anyone.
Murray's Coaches offer a great online fuss free booking service with pensioner discounts. The coaches are comfortable, have an on board toilet, the staff were helpful and the driver was very careful. The trip departed and arrived on time. Thanks Murray's!
I like this coach very much. I have been using it for more than 10 years. Its reliable and comfortable. I would reccomend to every one.
Pretty good way to get straight into the heart of Sydney (or Canberra I suppose). Timetables sometimes inaccurate though depending on time of day and Sydney traffic.
Love traveling my Murrays except for the few times the WiFi isn't connected or the bus arrives late.
Excellent service especially between Canberra and Sydney. You get the odd bus driver who is a control freak and thinks he is driving a school bus and keeps telling us things like 'no talking on phone', 'put your seat belts on', 'if you piss on the toilet seat clean it up', and 'no smoking' and goes on and on for 10 minutes at the start of the ride which I feel is totally unnecessary but otherwise it's good
Bus is my least favourite form of transportation, but at least the air is cool, there's a bathroom, and the drivers aren't afraid to keep heavy pressure on the pedal.
Booking and rebooking is easy. Seats are comfy. There are phone chargers so I need not worry about about my mobile. The drivers are very courteous (and mostly funny too!).
Really good service. The driver I get is always hilarious, the seats are nice (although I'm tiny so that may vary), there are USB ports to charge your phone (two, encase 1 stops working) and they have blinds and air conditioning. Just really nice service
Sometimes it's cheaper to rent a car than to use this bus service to Canberra, especially when it's more than one person.
No water on board and one time I had to take one of their coaches from Canberra to Sydney with a broken heater in the middle of winter.
The driver had no humanity. We were 1 sec late because of the very wet weather and the driver closed the door in front of us. Ridiculous.
Great way to get from Canberra to Sydney and back. Better than flying which is usually delayed, taking longer than the bus.
