Murrays Coaches reviews
72Friendliest bus drivers EVER. Love this service and use it all the time to get to canberra. Always a smooth ride and drive consistently updates arrival time
Murray's services are always exceptional.
Pros:
Timings
Affordability
Reliability of their service
Free Wifi on board
USB Charging
Restroom
Cons:
Wearing a seat belt for long distances. (Train journey was very much comfortable with more leg room and better view of the nature)
Spacing between two seats is very less, if you are traveling with an unknown person sitting next to you.
Have travelled between Sydney and Canberra several times and have never had an issue. Always had a comfortable journey. But my most recent one was far from comfortable. A lady on the bus wouldn't stop talking to the person seated next to her. And she was loud. Imagine having to listen to a loud screeching sound continuously for 3 hours. Not sure how the other passengers tolerated it. Probably because they had their headphones on. Just wondering why Murray's doesn't do anything about such situations.
Great service from Sydney to Canberra. Always on time, clean and efficient - highly recommended.
Very comfortable and punctual trip. Apart from the passenger in front of us who conducted zoom meetings the entire trip.
Loved the sanitation inside the bus. Everything was worthy for how much I paid. Great service, comfortable drive to Canberra from Sydney. Thanks Murrays
Much better than flying to Canberra and at $47 as apposed to $289 flight for the same amount of time with Wi-Fi it's a bargain go murrays
Canberra to Sydney, bus was FULL everyone was sitting right next to each other. I don’t that that was acceptable during COVID restrictions.
Our driver started the engine at 4 O'clock on the dot to start our journey (love that) Super clean coach too!
Really nice, quiet trip. Good, helpful driver and booking staff. Everything clean as a whistle.
Only 1 person seated in every 2 seats, due to social distancing and they still run a smooth, clean and great service and prices, that still runs on time, even ahead of schedule, sometimes.
Alway's pleasing, traveling with MURRAYS.
Driver's are ALWAY'S FRIENDLY.
Today I had SEAN drive us, back too: Canberra from Sydney. A GOOD SAFE TRIP.
Good way to travel between Sydney and Canberra. Reasonable price and almost as fast as taking ones own car. WiFi and charging ports at each seat give one plenty to do to pass the time. Join the club and every 5th trip is free.
October 2019 - it took us nearly 6 hrs to get to Canberra instead of 3 hrs. No apologies whatsoever from the driver. I missed my friend's wedding due to this completely ridiculous delay. Disgusting service, never again.
I booked a 9 am bus and just received a messaged it was cancelled and I was moved to and 8 am instead.
I called to get a refund and the man on the phone told me I can't have a refund, I can't talk to anyone else and no one would call me back.
He got quite upset and was rude to me. I can't see how after I pay for a service that is cancelled I can't get a refund?
Light rail broke down, called from central station and asked if they could hold the bus for 2 more minutes while we sprinted to the bus stop, they flat out refused and now we have to wait 2 hours for the next bus home.
Again on the bus.driver extremely rude and disrespectful.no common curtesy toward elderly or young people boarding the bus.got on at wollongong at 10: 20 heading to goulbourn.felt unsafe with this driver.disrespected my parents and publicly embarrassed me
Quick efficient and inexpensive.wifi and phone charger in each seat. Best option for getting to Sydney Central or the Sydney international airport. Try Greyhound for Sydney on domestic airport. Six rides and get one free for loyalty members. Has concession fares.
Considering the times these buses are great. You're never next to anyone you didn't book your tickets with in consideration of corona. They also check your temperature before boarding.
It takes an olympic gymnast to ride a Murray's bus. Make sure you bring a stool if you're under 6 feet tall, otherwise your feet will be dangling about a metre off the floor, with the footrest an extra metre away. Since your feet are suspended in mid-air, your biceps will get a great workout as you cling to the armrest to avoid sliding off the plastic leather seats at every turn. The headrest is nowhere near your head but will push your skull down from above so you're nicely hunched over, & the harsh blue-light LED strips will glare into your eyes if you manage to nap while trying to balance on a chair designed by M. C Escher.
Murray's seems to have taken their new bus design from a list of stress positions after consulting the CIA about enhanced interrogation techniques. On the newer buses, the linoleum flooring is made to look like wood; I guess this crucial redesign was at the expense of ergonomics, comfort, & common sense. That being said, this bus would be ideal for 8-foot giants, so great news for all those basketball teams that need to get to Canberra
