Had a bad experience renting through Mcgrath Parramatta. Too hard to reach them and never did any maintenance on time. No one is ever available to answer the calls. On end of my tenancy, they deducted $600 on the name of rent increase which was never agreed to. Gave them several calls but no one answered. Will be taking it to fair trading. WOuld give a 0 or -5 start if that was possible.

Someone who doesn't give up.
I engaged Rowan and from the start he was obliging, determined and spent a lot of time and energy with prospective purchasers and a lot of time wasters - more of the latter. But he never gave up and after discussions, various offers and being realistic - we have achieved the result especially in this market. As long as you are realistic and honest with him - he will be the same. Highly recommend him.

My previous tenant left without notice. Arushi Nagpal, my property manager, organised to have the property to be in a state to be listed again, and within a short period of time, new tenants moved into the property. She also successfully claimed all expenses and loss of rent from the insurer. Arushi is conscientious, efficient and someone who you can trust to manage your property.

I leased my investment property with McGrath Parramatta between February 2020 and September 2022.

My initial engagement with the New Client Consultant, John Byrnes, went quite well. He explained our management agency agreement clearly, was professional and just made me feel welcome. So I decided to choose this agency over the other ones that I had looked at.

The property was subsequently handled by the Senior Portfolio Manager, Joe Wehbe, where they found suitable tenants for me. He also did a fabulous job at addressing my queries efficiently. It was a great start!

They further impressed me by providing a very detailed virtual inspection property report in June 2020. They fulfilled their promise of scheduled inspection without me having to ask or follow-up.

Unfortunately, things seemed to have slipped at the beginning of 2022.

On 11 April 2022, I sent an email to the McGrath team asking for a property inspection as it hadn't been inspected for almost two years. A follow up email was sent on 27 April 2022, left a message on their office number on 28 April 2022 and an SMS request to call back on 4 May 2022.

I did not receive a response until I called the direct mobile phone of the agent (which I won't name) on 10 May 2022, in which I was provided the reason for non-inspection was due to covid. Mind you, this is May 2022, and I know for a fact that inspections had already resumed. I was provided with a promise for a schedule inspection in a few weeks.

May I also point out that my property is also in Parramatta. maps states that it's a 4 minute drive from the McGrath Office to my property. I really don't understand why such a simple inspection request could not be met. What am I paying management fees for?

Now, I hadn't heard anything until my lease was nearing expiration on August 2022 in which I was finally getting call backs from the agent. At this point, I had lost my patience with this agency and so did not answer any of their calls because I was ready to change property agency.

And that's what I did.

Within two weeks of joining Ray White Parramatta, they were able to produce an inspection report. I don't understand why it was so difficult for McGrath.

Despite all this, I'm still giving a rating of three stars based on my overall experience and their tenant screening process which led to good tenants for me.

It's clear that the Team that is looking after the investment properties in the Parramatta area is heavily under resourced. It seems to be just one person looking after the area. Please allocate more resources if you want to keep your clients.
