Angie who looks after our Point Frederick.property is prompt, efficient and pro active, we are very pleased with her service and I would highly recommend her to both landlords and tenants. Elise who manages our Terrigal property is excellent also.

I’ve dealt with a few property agents in the past but non more reliable, super proactive, professional, down to earth and highly experienced than Alison Hardie from McGrath Agents in Gosford.
I rate her very highly if you want someone that will give you the peace of mind that your property is getting well looked after and cared for under her management.
If there were any works needed, Alison will have it done within a prompt and reliable time frame and she will keep you well informed of how everything is tracking.

Over the past couple of months, my property needed some major work done and Alison took it onboard and got everything organized and done. She treated my property with such respect as if it was her own and the results truly showed in the end. I was just over the moon with it.

Alison is professional and hardworking, the best I’ve come across, I could not have been anymore happier given her as my property manager.

Absolutely appalling experience with this company and our property manager Kirrilly. I have talked to many friends who are renters and have never had anyone had their bond taken for a professional clean of the place. The property was cleaned thoroughly and left in a reasonable state of cleanliness. I had overlooked a leakage in the bedroom causing mould and musky smells for few months before this was addressed, as well as a flickering light in the bedroom. This could have easily deteriorated health and is in no way liveable conditions. However a "strand of hair" left behind is somehow counted as uncleanliness. Normal things which would be considered wear and tear are somehow treated as damage to the property. Trying to contact the agent for the bond back took over a month with no reply, and anytime we would try to get through to her, reception told us she was ignoring her calls. Any communication to try reason would be threatened with bringing it up to the tribunal which would further cause delays to our bond. I do not recommend this agent for renters.

No matter who you're if you're a tenant or a landlord you should keep away from them. I was a tenant. When I moved out Kirralee wanted to take a bite of my bond. She has not done due diligence when she did her work. As a result, she made a loss to a landlord of $3000, plus I got my bond back. I won the tribunal case and got the compensation. BTW, there was a circus at the tribunal. I don't know what she is smoking but seriously I would keep away. The tribunal member asks her a question: do you wanna extend the time for a tenant to claim compensation for not performing repairs. She answered - "Yes". I asked myself who is she representing me or the landlord?
If you're a tenant keep away, they will be ignoring requests and wasting your time. But there's a good chance to win the tribunal case and get compensation. Today she doesn't want to do whatever is required to return my bond even after I won the case. So just do not rent if this is McGrath Central Coast. The tribunal member declined her multiple claims and even carpet professional cleaning. So, beware you're not required to pay for this.

I was hoping to become an investor with this real estate, but the team were unprofessional. One sales agent was pushing me to put a property on the rental market ASAP despite me wanting to do renovation work on it. They advised that the current house problems were the tenant’s problem and I shouldn’t worry about it. Secondly, the communication skills of the property managers were terrible. The writing and spelling skills of one property manager was extremely poor. I don’t understand how a property manager born and educated in Australia has such atrocious English. I wouldn’t recommend.

Edit: The real estate cannot find my details as the staff members constantly spelled my name wrong in all correspondance with me - hence the poor writing skills of the staff.

PTSD Guaranteed

Reception constantly puts you through to an empty office so you can leave a message. Not very helpful when you really need to speak to someone. Reception has no interest but mindlessly put you through to NOBODY. Is this McGrath or Centrelink?

McGrath's Ettalong has the most helpful staff, who listen to the concerns and wishes of customers, buyers and vendors. They make a situation that can be stressful into a warm hug

Horrible service from McGrath. Appalling service, rude and disrespectful. They have made misleading accusations for concerns which are documented previously, are slow to reply unless it benefits them and have taken funds without agreement. Issues are slow to address despite identifying property damage.
The unprofessional nature, threatening communications from staff and high turnover of 'property managers' speaks volumes. Getting a very poor reputation and one I will stay clear of on future sales or leasing.

Alison has been our property manager for the last 2.5 years and we couldn't be happier with her outstanding service! She's very professional, responsive, friendly, and always goes above and beyond to look after our investment property. I would highly recommend Alison and McGrath Gosford.
